For recent subscribers I have to make a shout out to the hidden hero of these great videos. What most people won't notice is the: excellent video quality, excellent production quality, that takes hours and hours to produce, clear vocal quality from all participants and the music, wow the music. For all the above I congratulate and honor little sister Christian. Your hard work and training / education makes these videos excellent works of art. Nice
I 1000% Agree the quality of this video is high also I been watching those videos for years now I remember when he told us she first came in the videos I even remembered when the old guy passed away on vidoes it was so sad idk his name I think it was a live 😢 I also think the video have gotten way better then when she first came on so that most mean she got better and leaned a lot or the guys on the show been doing something different I do watch a few other car youtube videos and even tho some of the work they do sometimes not worth watching I get stuck on it because how it put together
Team work! She’s a star ⭐️ ✊🇬🇧
I noticed that, very high quality, great intro. I am jealous!
Really went above and beyond her usual excellent on this one.
Yes , Amen 🙏 🙌 She does a very Awesome job 👏 😊 ❤ and BTW the way love the Fact that you are a Christian Family on here doing what you Love to do. Awesome Channel. I love you Guys. May God Bless each of you 🙏 ❤ ♥ And yes the Video is Awesome.
This car will never go out of style. It's good that there are still people restoring these jewels.
Your correct in this view. They are making NEW DMC cars now, with an EV power plant
buy a delorean and try hit it 88 mph
This ol guy used to live in Post Oak Bend, passed by it many many times. Glad it's being saved.
Awesome find guys! Blessings to you
Definitely a cool trade. Can't wait to see the restoration/build of this great 80's icon. Not a bad DeLorean at all. Also that 80's gbody cutlass looked like a really clean car. 👍
The cinematography, audio and music in this one is next level. An absolute joy to watch from beginning to end. Not only a talented wrenching crew but the video quality Christian can produce is off the charts. Wow man, just wow.
These guys already know what's coming because they let them try out the tightness of all bolts before the show airs..
I used to work not far from the DMC in Houston back in the late 90s, and I remember seeing that red DeLorean sitting in the parking lot. I always thought it looked odd sitting there with the others. It looked pretty good back then, though.
can't wait to see this one on the road!
Back to the future that's what it all about ..hope to see this one back up and driving . Great video .
I already saw them driving it back in 2031.
Unfortunately DMC was already out of business by the time the movie was made.
Nice looking Delorean, can't wait to see what you do with it.
I don't think I've ever seen one of these painted. It's crazy that DeLorean went out of business 3 years before the movie even came out, and then it ended up becoming one of the most popular cars in the world. Why someone didn't figure out to reopen the business and start selling again is beyond me. At least someone started using their brain, and ended up buying the business and name. The new concept DeLorean looks insane!
Back in the day a friend's dad bought one new in 1981, his decision was either the DMC or a Corvette. After about four months of the DeLorean he went back and bought an '82 Vette. He kept both for a number of years but the DeLorean proved to be a major headache motor and trans wise. The V6 engine in those was what was known as the PRV V6, it was a joint venture motor between Peugeot, Renault, and Volvo. All three used the engine, but in the US, Volvo was the most common place to find one. As a mechanic back then we hated to see one roll in the door. They were underpowered, hard to work on loads of junk. They were known for head gasket issues, overheating, and fuel injection issues. Unlike modern cars, that fuel injection can't spit out a code and tell you what's wrong, so diagnosing a problem takes both experience, lots of spare parts, and some special gauges. The DeLorean itself was an oddity, the front suspension looked to be mostly Chevette parts, the rear end was its own but with a Renault 5 speed trans. The advertised 130hp felt more like about 80hp when driving it. The dealer I worked at actually had plans to take on a DeLorean franchise but they failed before it ever happened. We did go through some training on them though. My buddies dad would let me take his from time to time, (he rarely drove it once he bought the Corvette). The last time I saw it the car had only 8k on it. He traded it in in 1984 for a new pickup truck after the AC quit working on it for the third time. The AC in those cars was poorly designed too, there was too much glass and too much engine heat making its way into the cabin for the amount of cooling it could provide. It was okay at best on a mild summer night but nearly worthless on a hot summer afternoon in the sun. At work, we got a lot of calls for customers stuck in their cars due to failed lift struts, broken handles, and dead batteries. Automatic cars had trans issues due to heat and most owners were tired of all the quarks the car had by the time something major failed and they dumped the car at that point. They were a cool novelty back then but in reality they were a miserable failure as a car. If it wasn't for the movie, I doubt anyone would give them a second look, especially once they got a good look at what they were made of.
Some very true points to note here. 👍
Twisted metal sweet tooth van is awesome
The quality of y'all's videos is on a whole other level. Absolutely amazing. Christian you are a true master of your craft 👌
Check out Alex at Legit Street Cars. He has been doing a series on the restoration of a DeLorean barn find. He goes over quite a few topics related to the restoration of DeLorean. He has worked closely with DeLorean Midwest in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
That’s been a great rebuild, lots of “what ifs” are covered..
Hey everyone from New Castle Indiana USA 🇺🇲
@Restored is leading the way with great family members creating outstanding content.
I love the Movie 🍿 Back to the Future! Thank you guys for making this happen! ❤️ I can’t wait to see it restored
Always a blessing to watch.god bless you all
The production quality of this channel keeps getting better and better..! 👍 (please keep the DeLorean Red ;-)
Another awesome episode! This channel has quickly become my new favorite
I used to look at that car every time I drove by there. I'm glad it's getting the love it deserves.
We’ll see what it takes to get it back running and on the road! Staying tuned! Great video!
Someone wanted it red and painted it red...I don't know what mystery there is in that. Thanks for the videos, fun as always. I would like to see it restored.
It's not ONLY painted in red,but also lowered!!! I think the guys said "Ferrari style conversion" ???
Some dealers painted them to get them to sell.
All the DeLorean spares are in a Texas warehouse. They even offer LS swap kits!
Boy that old Delorean is rough! Cant wait to see what you fellas do with her. It'll be one series I dont wanna miss.
I always look forward in seeing your new videos. That’s so cool u all got a delorean can’t wait to see u all work on it. Delorean has always been my dream car.
I can’t wait to see this built. I haven’t seen a Delorian in a long time
I was 23 when my friends dad bought a DeLorean. Cool looking car, but it was an absolute dog on the road. He had it for one year and traded it for a 69 Mach1.
This was a good video. I would really like to see you guys get it running I'm interested in learning something about the engine.
Go over to legit street cars , he just restored a DeLorean great content. Lots of good info
If you buy a Renault 30 with the 2,7 v6 you can have your own delorian engine ;)
Lots of great Easter eggs in this video! I can’t wait to see the rebuild!
All I can think of is hoping you don’t have an engine Valley of Death situation. You should reach out to Alex at Legit Street Cars who has done a LOT to his barn find Delorean and can really help with your project. Good luck! 👍🏻
Love reading the comments from all the Delores experts that gained all their pro tips and advice from watching Legit Street Cars. 🥸
I know exactly where this car sat for a long time. I used to pass it when I worked near there. I always wanted to make an offer and never did. Glad to see it found a home.
after watching Alex at Legit Street Cars work on his DeLorean recently i would say the other guy likely got a better deal. this DeLorean looks like it will be a massive money pit especially with how complicated and prone to issue the engines are with age.
That's what I was thinking too.. also these guys have so many projects that there is literally no way they will have time for this.. it will probably be one of thoes.. fill the carb full of rust and circulate the nasty old oil for a will it start.. then sell it
I'd say this is a prime candidate for a complete resto-mod rather than flat out restoration to original. Strip it, get an interiour and then the obvious choice would be a plug n play electric swap.
@@EvilEndzwhy would you do that? Won’t last 5 years reliably and would be a waste of a classic car (and time). If reliability is key, just put a modern v6 engine in, maybe a ford v6. Will last for as long as you want it to last.
Get a SC 3800 from a GTP.
@EvilEndz even if they did a resto mod it would still be a massive money pit if they plan on fixing it correctly. I don't know exactly what Alex has spent on his but I would guess he has spent more than $10k on fixing his and his was in much better shape than this one.
Literally drove by this today at work! I thought it was a Bricklin!
Love the shorter video and braking it into the rescue and the build. Love your content, just don't always have a lot of screen time avalible. So this is appreciated.
Just a suggestion.....if you put a D ring, and a pulley on the back of your trailer, you can run your winch through that pulley, and back to the car. Then the winch will pull the car off the trailer. You won't need to push it off. Just a tip I learned from experience. 😊
You finally got one!!
Very awesome find there guys. When you guys did that segments of Back to the future made it even more awesome because that's what I was actually thinking too lol.
Cool car. Can't wait to see what you guys do with it 😊
Interesting how mother nature works. Down in Texas the sun beats down a vehicle from the top down. Up here in Winnipeg Canada mother nature lets the salt and cold beat up on a vehicle. Nice.
Hello from chilly Louisiana hope you guys are warm up there
I will see it in the morning here in Greece is midnight ,love this car from the movie "back to the future ",i was kid and excited with the car and also i see it with my eyes when i will travel with my parents in USA 22 days holidays and in Vegas, was one in silver color in a floor of a hotel with other rares cars .
Cool project can’t wait to see what y’all do to the motor! Hope y’all upgrade it!
Cool video & yes you Loved those movies Lance . You would watched them over & over lol
Ficou sensacional o vídeo,parabéns!!!👍
My brother had a red DeLorean back in the day. It was awesome.
Such an iconic car, really looking forward to seeing that red come off.
Another great video! Would love to see another video on the Lincoln RV.
Great video! This is a pretty cool find. I think it would look awesome just cleaned up a bit with that patina left in tact.
The museum that sold this car must be weeping after seeing how much this car was allowed to deteriorate !
I can imagine someone making the parts for the bttf DeLorian and slapping it on the back and driving down the freeway will be soo cool to see
Great Scott!
I would definitely like to see it restored
I look forward to the new video my neighbor on Long Island Ny had one and was restoring it . The major issue he faced was ( at the time) body and certain engine parts. Gents good luck!!
Top notch filming!!!
1.21 GIGAWATTS!!
I hope they keep the "Mad Max" vibe! Looks so cool how it is!
Can’t wait to see this car restored to its original 1980s glory😁 I’m no expert, but I highly doubt a dealership would have done a “ Ferrari package”… I would imagine the paint is hiding some kind of imperfection or somebody just thought it would look cool… Please restore her original; The 13 year old me is getting excited 😎
Legit street cars just restored one great content, lots of great information
Can't wait to see that DMC back on the road again 👍
Love you guys, hope you fix this one instead of leaving it sitting
That's a Mad Max Metrovan. Cool shop.
I never realized how low the Delorean sits until I parked it side by side next to my 2016 Vette and the Delorean roof was 2” lower.
I work at a Subaru dealership, and while I had my Delorean at work one day. I had to snap a picture because it looks like a little toy sitting next to a newer Outback
I remember seeing this DeLorean on a car magazine painted red. I thought it was so unusual since most DeLorean cars are natural stainless body cars.
Looking forward to seeing how the Delorean turns out.👍🏻
Great Scott
You really took it back to the future
Thank You..
You guys get the most amazing stuff I wanted one of those all my life am 64 that is my dream car
One off my dream cars, awsome trade guys😍🔥
Great Video
Great job!
I know this car! Seen it sitting out there for years. Glad someone got it to fix it up! And we know Lance wants his own time machine. It's gonna get the same fix up as the Bricklin. 😉
Cool introduction, wasn't sure I had the right channel. I like there shop and rides. I will be a awesome project.
I dig both of these three truck is awesome and so is the DeLorean
Man! I really want to see what you do with this Delorean.
Always have enjoyed your videos, even from before Turnin Rust took a "break". I do however recall you guys buying a 1975 Bricklin SV-1, Back to the Future, DeLorean look-a-like. This was 4 years ago. If you still have it you could make a proper Back to the Future DeLorean replica.
Dude! Pew preproduction models are crazy million shims hardware store screws and bolts. This is exciting! I love it! I love you. God Bless you beautiful people! Especially your Father!
🤘😎 I really like your videos, greetings from Belarus
Im a Turning Rust loyal subscriber # stay blessed and let the sparks ignite =s tire smoke.
Awesome! Cannot wait👍👍👍
Can’t wait to see it without paint!
Subscribed just to watch this
The clown machine look like the one on twisted metal the video game.
Sensational video.🥰
I love this channel so much.
Good evening restored family from Killeen Tx.
Too cool 👍👍
This was a fine videoo🙌
The movie and the cartoons were awesome
Very true car old school I love to see more of your videos are very classic very cool 😎
I think I saw this car in the late 80's at a place in Monroe, Louisiana called Dream Cars. He sold a lot of exotic and classic cars. I remembered seeing a red Delorean and asked "Why would they paint a Delorean?" Was owned by a guy with the last name Brewster...think it was called Brewster's Dream Cars.
Alex from legit street cars just restored one of these, he knows alot about them
This guys place is a lot like theirs!
Congratulations Lance On The Deloren, What A Unique, Neat Vehicle!! Legit Street Cars Just Did An Awesome, Full-Out Restoration Series On One He Picked Up, Maybe Check That Out As Well.. Can’t Wait To See What’s Next Guys, Be Well & Blessed..
He's looking like vice grip, with the hair style!
Strange to see one painted. Looks kinda good!
I remember seeing a red DeLorean when I lived in Los Angeles in the early 80's. The dealers would paint them for you.
Ice cream truck looks like Sweet Tooth from twisted metal
