‘Time to put an end to Shoba Karandlaje’s hate politics’: Congress’s Rajeev Gowda

The fight for Bangalore North has turned into a clash of titans. The BJP’s firebrand leader Shoba Karandlaje will take on Rajeev Gowda, a professor, economist and the Congress candidate. Both are political veterans and it’s a crucial battle for Gowda, with the BJP holding Bangalore North for two decades.
Shabbir Ahmed caught up with Gowda on the campaign trail to discuss a wide range of issues, including Prime Minister Modi’s remarks on Muslims, Karandlaje’s brand of politics, and Gowda’s vision for the constituency.
“In 10 years, the central BJP government has only inflicted pain on people. In 10 months, we have alleviated the pain of our people and taken care of them where it matters,” he says.

Bangalore lakes ground reality differs from what it is updated in BBMP sites. Already marked developed lakes should be rechecked, half of the things are not working and lot of works are still pending. And lakes maintenance contracts mostly pay attention to lake as only as public park. Lake ecology part is ignored in most small lakes. Bangalore lakes and gardens with green cover are the lifeline of the city. Govt should pay attention and protect city’s lifeline.

Effects or bad effects of Modi wave. Modi is an electioneer. Just like profiteer, marketeer etc. Always exuberance, rhetorics and flurry of promises. Modi is known to treat all BJP MPs and ministers from Karnataka like trash and with disgust. Every candidate should say his name and win. After winning, MPs should keep the mouth shut and fear him. Otherwise ticket will be denied in the next election. Modi is like demi God in BJP. The MPs are totally powerless and can't speak before him. MPs are mainly responsible for consolidating votes in their respective constituencies in the name of Modi. Once the MP succeeds and wins the election then the voters have to look after themselves. MPs are seen driving around with red lights, sirens blaring and heavy police escort. They are always short of time when it comes to meeting and hearing the hardships and pains of the people. It's no more worthwhile for MPs to spend time with and for the constituency. All MPs understood that only by invoking Modi's name they got the votes and not for their good work, potential etc. Almost all the BJP MPs in the state are swept up with the rising tide of Modi wave. Most of them are unfit for and undeserving to represent. This is the history of 10 years of BJP rule under Modi and also speaks about the dark future ahead. In the present election there are more than 3 constituencies where the sitting MPs are being protested and shouted to Go Back. Surya, Shobha, Nalin. In the remaining 20+ constiencies the disconnect and dissatisfaction with MPs is sharp. Modi is eyeing only on the support of Kannadigas, wealth of Karnataka and it's huge revenue from big businesses. Modi is a match fixing master. Already Murthy family is attracted and are favorably associated with BJP. Modi is going to achieve his plans by persuation, gratifications and intimidation methods using ED/CBI/IT etc. The future of Karnataka can be secured only if the people of Karnataka participate in the elections with a responsible attitude.
