As a controversy over his dangerous diatribe rages on, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chosen to play victim and claimed that the opposition is abusing him only because he has exposed their politics of “appeasement”.
Complaints are pouring in, but the Election Commission of India is yet to show signs that it will take strong action. And the line between fact and fiction has blurred, aided by the mainstream media’s failure to question Modi’s claims, and the supplementary “evidence” and edited clips circulated online by pro-BJP accounts.
But the fact is that most of what Modi said was far from the truth.
Be it his allegations about former PM Manmohan Singh - that he had said that Muslims had the first right to India’s resources - or the assertion about Congress’s plan to redistribute gold and silver to Muslims. Modi’s claims about the Muslim community giving birth to “more children”, and the insinuation that they are “infiltrators”, are also bizarre considering the data and the government’s own admissions.
The Modi government, in fact, has since 2014 told Parliament at least 16 times - by one count - that it didn’t even know the number of illegal immigrants in India.

@@krishanuadityapandey4414 ...either you are unaware or just too stupid to not understand why Pakistan was made or why bengal was divided... these divisions were not made for religious purposes.. they were made for geopolitical reasons.. the British had a very dirty habit of dividing nations it left so that it can demolish the stability in that region.. they did the exact same thing with the ottoman Empire... the divide and rule philosophy of the British was a crucial part of their governance.. so they used it to their full capability... and the best tool they could harness was hindu muslim... take a look at how they concocted the ram janmabhoomi case.. before 1850's...somehow there was no conflict... and when observed at a micro level... there is no tensions between the communities.. and this nationalistic ideology of labelling the "other" will lead to the downfall of a nation... just look at how Pakistan is performing as a country... is that what you are aspiring to be?... and frankly speaking we are at such a great place .. why do you think there is a problem? why do you hate Muslims?... from where does this hatred come from...? let's sort out differences... let's get down to the root problem... and don't think I am some andhbhakt gandhi fan.. because I am not..
