  • The husband (Kevin) is just as culpable as his wife (Ruby) in the abuse of their children. He was in those videos showing "tough love", he was part of it all. All three of those abusers should get the max sentence!!

    • They havent linked any abuse to him, and i don't think the kids have named him an abuser. Im assuming his fate rested on those children, and it's clear four of them spoke against mom and her friend. So maybe dad really wasnt guilty, maybe she was just as awful to him, but to be honest in my personal opinion either way even if he didnt touch them kids, he knew. You don't live with someone that long, and not know their abusing four of your kids. Brutally. I feel kevin should be held in account for neglect, but not walk free.

However, why didn't the father step up and help protect his own kids? Kevin should have been held responsible for his role in ignoring their plight at the hands of his wife. • Both women should serve 20 years at the least, as they have scarred those kids for life. I can't imagine the physical and psychological harm they endured. To withhold food and water, to force a child to stand in the sun while they got severe sunburn, to be restrained, isolated, to hold their head underwater and more are torture and when it is done by a parent or that parent allows another adult breaks the trust and safety a parent should give a child. I hope they get the therapy they need to understand none of this was their fault. And I hope that the parole board can see through the fake remorse that 'mom' has. She is manipulative. And she was very cruel to the kids before she met that cruel therapist.

  • I do not care whose idea this abuse was, it’s still the mothers problem. If someone had told me to abuse my son, I would never simply take their advice and do so or considered it in the least. This is messed up beyond all belief, and Frankie needs to go to jail for quite a long time. A person who has it in their soul to hurt their children through abuse and neglect did not have to be shown the way. I believe there’s an Eagle song that says no one can take you where you don’t already know how to go and this absolutely holds true in this case. The mother and father both should stand guilty here, and the father needs to be brought up on charges as well. I find it impossible for him to have not seen the bruises, cuts and the severe weight loss of his children. They all need to be thrown under the jail and forgotten about.

  • As some of us know very well there have been s long list of parent-influencers on social media that in various ways found out that how they exposed their children to their 'followers' ended up being driven by the amount of money that ended up in their bank accounts and in that long list of families what made the most money often were things that were abusive. And when viewers started realizing what they were seeing and started reporting it the common excuse was that those making the reports were jealous of their success. More often than not CPS has chosen to buy the "someone is jealous of our success" instead of taking a few hours to watch a few of yhe videos that were pointed out for them as containing the evidence of abuse. For those that have spent a great deal of time looking into online complaints where people think a child or children are being taken advantage of or abused, it's pretty easy to see what is happening if one just looks.

Tough love means you don't give into the kids every demand, they work and do chores if they want something, get grounded if they do something bad, and if you don't like what was made for dinner then you can go to bed hungry, you don't get something else. That's the type of stuff for tough love. I think people literally confuse the meaning, and thing that tough love means like physically toughening the kid up.

  • Anyone who believes ruby is remorseful didn't watch 8 passengers. She was a monster before jodi. Jodi did encourage her, but jodi never tortured her other victims. Ruby did that. Rudy always smiles in glee when she punishes her children. Why do you think her college age girl send out a one word post when ruby was arrested. It read, "Finally". That says it all.

    • thats one of the biggest reasons why ppl were worried for the kids too because the punishments she put on her kids then gave Ruby a glee to her smile then. I remember that.

  • Listening to the neighbor who made the emotional 911 call at 2:22.. his descriptive words were heartbreaking. Ruby would have us believe she was brainwashed & living in an alternative reality. Hearing about but especially seeing emaciated wounded abused children is a tramatic experience. Keeping the Franke children in my prayers & the neighbors that were involved also.

  • There’s no excuse. “She lead me to this” is BS. Any parent should only have their children’s best interest at heart. I’m a war vet, I have PTSD, a brain injury, and anger problems. I WOULD NEVER harm my kids, under any circumstances for any reason, EVER. If my messed up head knows better, she has zero excuses. This is where the anger problems kick in, I’m so f**king MAD she did this to those kids. Just angry as can be!!! Sad too, but mad at her.

  • Too many truly unintelligent people are in positions of power over others. Ruby and Jody were obviously two very ignorant women who enjoyed torturing their own children. Being ignorant of basic decency, they thought they could gain social status by presenting as tough parents - but cocealing their abusive techniques. They did not think they would ever be caught. Ruby's face says it all. She never realized her victims would ever be in a place to where THEY could punish HER, and she was furious. So she accused the escapee of being a pedo, in her fury. Now she finally realizes that she no longer has a family and all that deception has been revealed to everyone. There is nothing she can do but sit in prison and know her kids won, she lost, and she is now just a horrible person that will be remembered, by the world, as a horrible mother. A fitting end to an unfit mother. Remember - ignorant is the root of ALL evil. Ruby and Jody are truly evil and it feels good knowing they have lost everything they built, using evil against their own families. I wonder how she's being treated in prison.🙂 Also, wth is wrong with Utah and their cults? Ya'll need to reassess your mental faculties and stop letting cult leaders tell you how to live or raise your kids. Snap out of it!!!

  • They are only sad because they got caught. They’re crying because they’re sad for themselves, not the children. They’d be doing the same thing if they hadn’t got caught. Neither of them has any remorse.

  • Ruby has no remorse, that performed speech written by her attorney is sickening, he told her to read it and show remorse or she would spend her life in prison !!!! Jodi saw a mom who was already abusing her kids and wanted to get in on it and bring it to the next level. They both should get the same treatment they gave those kids !!! The dad, he’s a coward, he had no courage to go against Ruby so he ran off abandoning his kids to be tortured ! They are all sick !

  • Ruby was arrested at Jodi's house in Southern Utah as well, not her own house like they put in this story. Also, Ruby was listed as an official instructor on the ConneXions website (it's now been taken down). I 100% believe Ruby was getting paid and was fully involved in the organization. Her little speech was just lies. I guess she'll have plenty of time to write her "comeback" book now...SMH.
