  • Ruby and Jodi are sadists. They both got a thrill out if control and abuse in the guise of "discipline". In the videos Ruby posted of her punishing her kids severely for even minor infractions and monetizing it is alarming. I think she got off on humiliating them and monetarily profiting off it. I don't think Ruby ever loved her kids. She merely saw them as profit and people to torture and control because of her sadistic nature. She even said that kids are evil and that the program and belief system that Jodi had was more important to her than her own children. I hope when she gets out that she never gets custody. I'm also hoping her kids, even as young as they are, realize the gravity of the situation and don't fall for any of her tactics to get them back. If she gets them back it's likely that she will be worse with them as an act of revenge, especially with Russell.

In that clip from 8Passengers, Ruby is sympathetic to his plight and promises him a great snack when he gets home. But still, she’s not making sure her kids have the nourishment they need.
