what was the kickstarter version of #2? tried to look it up but could not find it
Mercî❤
My wife bought me a Mova globe 5 years ago. Every morning, I walk into my office, turn on the overhead light and my world slowly begins to spin. Life is very, very good.
that gliding earth on the table was sooooooo much more satisfying then the mounted one.
The globe is the one thing I could consider....if it was about $40.00.
I’d have the solar system if they were $40
It's supposed to be an eyeball 😅
The earth is flat.
Go back to school @@josephjoestar1681
@@josephjoestar1681the globe says different
The infinity cube is much more satisfying once you get the hang of doing it singlehanded. Also, $70 is just the price of the steel ono, they make one out aluminum for half the price, they also have different sizes now.
Stainless is the highest quality and smoothest one tho
There are several solid 3D models of them too; with a dialed-in 3d printer and some silicone lubricant you can end up with a really satisfying one for a tiny fraction of that price
I was ahead of my time with that ONO Roller device. 50 years ago as a kid I used to rotate two cow magnets in my hand. I also have the Mars version of the Mova Globe and it's been rotating over five years now.
The moving "landscape" feels so nostalgic! 20~25 years ago they were pretty trendy and there used to be plenty of those things in street markets, in knickknack shops, etc. And I would absolutely love to get the solar-powered globe, especially a Moon or a Mars version! It's so expensive, though...
The ratcheting wheel (3rd one) is a ko of the Lautie mechanics ring. If you used the included little wrench you can add/remove the magnets inside to change resistance and noise
5:11 ... the situation with the music, brilliant 😄
Receptionists for doctors always had floaty pens on their desks in the 90s (in Sydney). Branded freebies from one pharma co or another.
not only them, it was a very common item. without cap needed but upright standing not tilted to the side. as a child i got one as well.
I love the square sand art displays. I have one that i have had for over 30 years. Unfortunately the liquid inside has dried up. But it always makes the coolest looking landscapes and it is different every time.
8:28 you can actually do this at home. 1. Take a slim round plastic bottle. 2. Open the cap and let some air out by compressing it from the middle. 3. Close the cap back and voila.
Thanks for the video. I like the sand scapes and the top spinner but they aren't fidgety they're more mesmerizing. Darn. I think the sand scapes would be helpful for small children. Great video.
Those magnetic balls can instantly rek expensive electronic nearby or your debit card. Rekt my own card back in the day with much smaller neodimium balls.
Im totally getting the sand art. For only 39 bucks I can see it being the one thing that I'll always "touch" simply because it'll always give you a "different" sand art as it falls in place. I can see my self getting bored with everything else on the list. The globe is another one I would love to have simply to for educational purposes and how cool it is but for $200 its simply too much for its purpose.
The sand art first appeared in the 70's some were big like window big and a light
11:25 I remember back in the 90's novelty stores had those printed with like, eyeballs and 8 balls and such.
I like how honest and straightforward you are, nice
For that spin top toy thing, you should have played the Inception music.
Have wanted a MOVA globe for years, but I can't justify the price. It's incredibly cool, especially the antique world maps, but at $200+ I just can't see that kind of money for something that is going to sit and get looked at occasionally.
The Ono roller can also be used to massage your hands and arms to relieve stress, maybe that's also why it costs so much, it's a very good use
I watched a video just the other day on building magnetic levitation devices like the moon toy. It requires a bit of logic that adjust the pull of multiple magnets to keep it levitated. In the example I saw, they used 4 electro magnets. So, if you pull the power, you essentially have 4 uncontrolled magnets.
Yes, Earnshaw's theorem proves that standard magnets can't levitate in the air without power. It will never have a stable equilibrium point, so it will always want to jump one way or the other.
nice demo's and honest opinions. I appreciated your video.
The moon is not actually 3D printed. It's a moulded copy of a much more expensive crowdfunded 3D printed moon project. It got massively overproduced and was re-engineered into this product.
im sure there are different copies of this product, but considering there are layer lines and it says "3D printing" on the box, id wager this one is actually 3d printed 😅
My dad is into those desk tops, he's got the top from inception in a bunch of different materials
Hell yeah! Glad I came across your channel.
The Moving sand art can create incredibly beautiful art but it takes a bit of learning - the bubbles should be broken up into smaller ones, and you get a syringe to suck excess air bubbles out or introduce air depending on how much of it there is. You can also do actual slow-motion with it by simply tilting it a bit to the side, super cool. It's like an infinite art generator, very good investment :)
I'd like to recommend Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty. It pre-dates the modern slime phase. There are tons of colors, and it's not wet like slime, more like silly putty. I got a mini version to keep in my purse. It's super nice to continually squeeze, pinch, roll, and pull.
The Ono roller is probably my favorite fidget toy I have at my desk and I have more than I can count. It is so satisfying and totally quiet so it doesn't annoy my wife when she's in the room with me. Also $150 for those tops with that base is not a terrible price, if you are familiar with tops. But yea I feel like with most things it's all going to be very subjective so I don't mean to critique your decisions or anything.
WEPA! Native of Ponce, PR here living/working in Germany! We have the spinner in the office here and co-workers are always competing to see who spins it for longer. We are keeping the score on the whiteboard!
I’m always having a gyro twister on my desk. You know that 90s thing you can train your wrist with… lol I think everyone needs one
I have the plastic infinity cube just to keep me awake during raw materials meetings, because I was literally falling asleep While Typing 😅 my coworker also got me this japanese toy where you have to shuffle different coloured balls inside a larger globe into the correctly coloured openings
I really like your desk! Did you build it yourself and if yes, would you make a video about it? Or could you tell me what desk it is and where you bought it? 😄
It was bought at a furniture store in Puerto Rico. -P
I use a plastic infinity cube and its one of the most satisfying fidget toys ever, maybe second to a speedcube. I'm sure the aluminium one would be even better.
I had something called the buddha ball. which was a floating metal ball like the lamp you reviewed. It is a power magnet which floats it so you need to plug it in to float. But it was incredibly difficult to place it so that it floats. Too much trouble really. Then I was worried about the powerful magnet wiping my usb drives or mobile phone so I binned it. I think a powerized magnet is not very safe around other electronics.
That's not how any of that works.
What is the watch you got on tho??
The part where he said the infinity cube does the same thing over and over killed me. like gee its called an INFINITY cube and its a FIDGET toy. Thats literally its job 😂
Whats the soundtrack used for the yayacat sand art? 9:55 ish
You had me rolling with the globe. 😂
Great video! Bro just understand how electromagnets work yet lol
I like how this guy built like an Ex Marine, the Camera Angle looking like It's about his past Marine Memories, and those Background music making it a Documentary.
The lawyer assistant part was hilarious 😂
I found a concave lens on the ZON for 6 bucks and all my tops love it!
I'm using and old bicycle freewheel hub as T-Conceal alternative \o/
Please do more reviews for such toys!
If the top does not stop spinning means you are watching this video in a dream.
Bro what is with the Red Stapler?
My favorite is the first one, the fidget spinner-thing, it simple and cool. Great reviews of the items, Lee! :-)
I'm currently spinning it as I read the comments
@@FStoppers lol then it works!
LOVE this intro 🤣
nah dude, my hands were SWEATING from how badly I wanted to use the ono just from looking at it
7:30 I totally get that sensation... I would fight to not throwing the damn thing away.
You can't have passively free floating items, magnetism doesn't work like that. It's an unstable configuration, akin to balancing a ball on top of a round hill, even tiniest bit off and it falls. The pen works because it is stabilized by the contact point with the base. The globe doesn't, because it doesn't have a contact point, it needs active stabilization. Only superconductors can levitate passively due to Meissner effect which causes a flux pinning effect in type-II superconductors that "freezes" the magnetic field in place, thus opposing the changes to the field.
Will the magnet kill your watch?
Those fidget gadgets can become very costly. Me myself I would recommend a sort of stressball or racquetball, or perhaps an old baseball. I have tried everything but a ball like that is still the cheapest and most enjoyable fidget desktoy. Ye should give it a try.
First 30 seconds hits hard. ” Let’s find the best desk fidget item to bring joy to our full mundane lives”
that pen takes D1 refills and comes with a basic Schmidtt, you can replace that with a Monteverde insert
why didnt you do beyblade battle with the last one
the magnet balls are snake eggs also!
Bruh the way the video started I thought it was one of those trading ads which sell courses
That definitely was fun..
My respects!
well that was deep...
me trying to control my spending and watching this is a clear indication of the early stage of self sabotage haha
I need Hipster Lee back!
I have looked online and I have seen cheaper uno rollers. They were around 30-40 bucks.
We need anther Conajornal lol. You guy been to slient lately. Bring the live hang out back.
10 out of 10 intro😂
They can make the moon a thousand times better by using a resin printer vs a common filament printer. I loved everything except the moon one, I thought it was too cheaply made and I could just print my own.
Remember the keys from Harry Potter; getting lost by themselves and appears back whenever they want? Pen tips are same as well.
The spin tops at the end would be more entertaining if you battled them. It’s not nearly as cool just staring at a spinning top.
why am i watching this?
Bro I just wanted to see some cool desk toys, got absolutely slated in the intro
Can't believe you didn't make the Beyblades fight
How do you like living in PR? Do you speak Spanish?
You guys are back in Puerto Rico? Nice place.
Taxes baby
Ohhh, nice review. I have the Novium Hoverpen and can honestly say it's the worst pen I got when you look at the relative value. Luckily I got it as a parting gift for a project I did but I can honestly say this pen is 2 thumbs down. It's underwhelming. I could design my own pen that's both cooler and works better. But I have better stuff to do. If you want to spend some money on a cool magnetic toy, look for a Mendocino Motor.
I se a Rubio cube. Simple and clean
The Ono roller is S tier
lol😂 you hella lying about the first one, $20?? Nahhh lol When the cap was missing lol😂
Ok
Easy brother that intro was a bit sharp ..my life resembles that harrrrssshhhh
I'm always looking for a good fiddget to give myself carpal tunnel with.
I also liked the pen but after the magnetic stuff I did not like it. I found it annoying.
I need help
Ono was like soap 🧼
you almost discovered you were in a dream within a dream
The hover pen needs to product redesign.
China thank you for purchasing ALL their products
Just get a non-Rubiks Rubiks Cube. It's fidgety but you get better at it as you go along.
Many of the items you reviewed look great….my question is, what Apple Watch Band is that?
i feel like magnets should be used WAYYYY more in everyday life
The idea that you could describe something that looses it's main appealing function if you remove and not displace the one tiny thing stopping you from using its main function, makes it utterly mindboggling it is in the same overall category as fidgets, or anti-anxiety stims...
Dam I just wanted to see some over priced things I didn’t really need. Not to be hit with the existential crisis intro!
The best fidget toy for the office is a very loud clicky keycap keychain, there is nothing more entertaining than annoying your colleagues, so you can share your stress with them.
the best fidget toy ive had success with is my pork flute
I love the ONO. it was the first fidget thing I purchased. I keep it in the car and it helps me calm my nerves when I encounter bad drivers. Highly recommend it!
opened the video and got attacked instantly
I wonder if Dieter Brummer knew he made it to meme status before he killed himself a few years ago?
Ahh, it is someone called Brent Rambo. oops
The price for the first one is for the name😂
I bought that globe thing for no reason...confidentially say worst purchase of ive made ever lol. First time ive felt buyers regret.
fuck that mova globe is a definite want, but with that price hell nah, turned off.
