  • I love this video series and your ingenuity. One piece of advice though. If you're going to use the VFD to slow your motor that rapidly, you need a braking resistor. They're pretty cheap and it'll keep from overheating your VFD.

  • Impressive drilling performance. When you want to use a larger drill, try drilling a pilot hole, with the diameter of the drill bit tip, first. It will greatly reduce the cutting pressure you have to produce with the tailstock and maybe will let you push a larger diameter
