I thought the mic actually sounded pretty good for a wireless headset.
Great review, really liked that you used the headset mic as the main mic, I think more people should do this.

I like the idea of sidetone, though alot of times the mic in headsets are so bad that i need to turn the mic sensitivity way up ( on consoles) that if i have any amount of side tone on it introduces way to much feedback and it is very un pleasant for my friend on the other end.

For the price there's the HD 58X jubilee And mod mic uni is about 50. So questions is, does it sound better than the HD58X jubilee. Im unsure the software/wireless is worth it. (outside of the difference between closed and open headsets) its a noticable click for muting the mic, but its not a deal break. Yeah definitely a hard pass all said and done
I was thinking about those, but got myself Rig800HD instead, besides a few issues i'm really happy with it.
Yeah i got those for a while too. Like every wireless headset the mic is shit but the sound is amazing!
Hey mate, apparently a recent Firmware update enabled Sidetone. Would you be able to confirm this, and that it actually works? Thanks for the video.
Yup sidetone appears to have been added in an update... though I have NO control over how MUCH sidetone there is (there's a slider, but it does NOTHING), making it pointless as all I get now is a HUGE amount of background hiss while trying to use it as it seems to be set at max.

Awesome review. Was seriously considering pulling the trigger on this headset but I don't think I will now. Sound quality on mic just isnt there. Also, I don't think I would be able to hear footsteps very well.
Oof that mic quality 😖 Don’t know if there’s much you can do about that though. (Except using a better microphone)
the mic doesn't sound that bad to me, certainly on par with logitech, and razer products - not as good as corsair, but the sound quality, connectivity and battery life is better
so as someone who games a lot and uses Discord I have always like Turtle Beach's ability to split game and chat audio via separate volume controls. are there any similar brands that offer this? because as much as i love this feature, they go dead in less than 5 hours and it is very annoying
What do you mean split them via separate volume controls. Pretty sure windows volume mixer does that for you?

Sidetone is HUGE for me. If I test out a headset without it I can't do it. You end up yelling all day.
I used 10 pound headphones years ago called sades guess what i could hear footsteps :P
But can the algorithm hear footsteps? 😋

the driver so bad give me crackling noise, end up use dolby atmos window10 instead of epos gaming suite. i choose this because the battery life and light weight compare to gsp670.
