As someone who does medium distance races (150-300km) i have major respect for these guys lasting so long on stages, riding in sand for so long just makes it that much harder

The whole thing is amazing and at 6'30 how the rider gets back onto the track is simply astonishing given the terrain.

- He's been to Erzberg a couple of times! But you're right, turning at that spot, and getting back up on that bike takes a lot of skill.

- geoff beyer yes of course it depends on the angle shot from the helicopter and one’s definition of steep & turn but from my perspective it is amazing to see how easy he makes clawing back look

Deep respect from the bottom of my heart to these top class bikers who chart the unknown terrain...it's tough... bloody tough..it ..drains you mentally...in couple of shots..they remind me of cruising like a kangaroo on an arrid land

Как-то поехали кататься по полям на мотоциклах , весной ранней . День катались с перерывами конечно . Я на мт был самое сложное по песку ехать было для меня , трудно удержать мотоцикл . А тут по песку да с такой скоростью ... Уважение к таким людям !!! Вот это гонщики настоящие . А не те что от светофора к светофору ручку откручивают . И пол вечера кофе пьют по кафешкам .

Я считаю,что Дакар это самые сложные соревнования которые могут быть... тут выносливость проверяется как человека ,так и техники. Мечтаю поучаствовать в Дакаре на мото...это в первую очередь проверка себя))

- Too much beer around football. When a football player falls, he rolls on the ground. He cries, he hopes to earn a free kick. When the motorcyclist falls, he raises the bike and continues the race. So where is more sport?

- yeah this is next level, extreme challenge, real danger, no wimps allowed. its not really comparable though they so different but Dakar and enduro in general is on another level compared to "ball sports"

Meu esporte preferido... Eu pratico já quebrei a filula e atibia nesse esporte. Mais voltei graças a Deus estou bem e correndo de novo. Que pena que aqui no NORDESTE não tem esse tipo terreno rsrs... Top meus amigos vms em frente...

Безбашенная отвага, стойкость и выносливость ! В одиночку пройти ,,Дакар", это реально героические ребята ! На мотах нет подушек и ремней безопасности, усиленной кабины, кондиционера, нет напарника- штурмана, только два колеса и два мотора ! -- один в груди, второй под райдером. ,,Дакар» - одна из самых суровых гонок планеты: 5000 километров и 11 дней по пустыне. Для тех, кому и этого мало, на «Дакаре» есть особенно суровый класс Original by Motul. По его правилам, всю дистанцию надо пройти без посторонней помощи: чинить машину (или мотоцикл), находить дорогу - все это гонщик должен делать сам. Из 32 участников Original в 2019-м до конца добрались 16. Одна из них - русская мотогонщица Анастасия Нифонтова, ставшая первой в истории женщиной, финишировавшей в этом классе. Храни Вас Господь !

- CRF 450 actually, The Africa Twins rode in the late 80s from 86 to 89 The last Twin to win the Dakar was the KTM 950 Rally

- один раз на песчанке на повороте закусило колесо на выверт и я через руль вылетел как там один паря-сразу вспомнил эту хрень! только начинал дубасить,опыта было мало (да и сейчас не очень))) но я расту!

Riding in powersapping sand, takes it out of the fittest of riders, and not knowing when you could drop in and go over the bars, or washout in the water sections, absolute stamina here!!

2 things to say: Mad music but I would prefer the sound of those loud melodic mufflers. Secondly: I wonder how much sand and dust is there now in the bikes air filters ??!!! Maybe tons !!
