I home school my 9 year old grandson. He is the gentlest, kindest soul on this earth. He's shriving and happy.He misses out on nothing. In all my nearly 64 years, without a shadow of a doubt, educating him at home is the best thing I've ever done. The thought of him going to one of those dangerous cesspits terrifies me.
Aye but they become recluse and a loner and 90% of the time end up been bad people when their older, google Ellis Dismore, Middlesbrough that's what homeschooling and keeping kids away from real society can cause they end up been weird and behind in social skills. There is good and bad in everything, school, work, you name it and home schooling a child because of your own self paranoir aint gunna help them my friend.

@@CabbageHeeed100% agree with you. Homeschooling deprives a child of social interactions with their peers and puts them behind socially. When they go out into the world without you, they will be at a huge disadvantage.

I saw the way it was going in the OO's, so left. I must say though the worst attitudes came from non white pupils, I was there when 9/11 occurred and heard what was said from pupils who had calls with "back home"
@@suzannehaigh4281 Strange? I find the opposite, Asian culture's very respectful of teachers/education, got 'thank you for the class' as they left, I've even had Japanese students bowing at me! Challenging behaviour often came from despair of family: poverty, unemployment, drugs, alcohol. They saw no point of education if it just led to trying to chase a poorly paid, demeaning job.

This happened in a school I went to about 10 years ago, the girl showed people knives she had on her, talking about how she was going to stab another girl but don’t think anyone believed she’d actually stab someone. The incident was over some boy and I witnessed the aftermath where the girl ran pass me and tried to hide the knife in a skip outside, she ran but the police caught up with her eventually. Luckily the school was near a hospital. School carried on as normal the next day.

Some of these teenagers are just out of control, total animals. Hope the 3 injured recover well and don't have lasting psychological damage. Though, education may just lose another couple of teachers. Sad times.

Hoping for a swift recovery
The only way to prevent bullies doing this is having metal detectors but then who wants to turn school into a prison? That’s the thing about a bully, if they are determined to hurt someone, they will find a way! However, a parent should be able to know for certain that when they take their child to school, nothing like this can possibly happen. There’s always someone prepared to ruin things for everyone else. This girl could easily be from a very good home life. It doesn’t automatically follow that the child that did this comes from a difficult background in fact I have always found that the kids from a difficult home life are far more aware of others suffering. Even when I was in school myself, the bullies that targeted me were from privileged backgrounds. It has far more to do with instilling compassion for other’s early in a child’s development and then DON’T SPOIL YOUR CHILDREN! It’s the parents that stupidly believe “oh my baby wouldn’t ever do such a thing” that are a real issue for all the other kids. Yes, your child is as likely as any other to behave badly! They are like people that way! Raise your children with understanding and compassion and you will teach understanding and compassion! I’m sorry, it makes me so angry that these things are still such an issue and it’s been almost 40 years since I was a pupil.

It's not a crime normally associated with girls, females but does that mean the perpetrator wasn't a female, no of course not Could the perpetrator be a boy who believes he's a girl, possibly but then possibly not. So sad that in 2024 people doubt media reports and that's because they no longer trust what words actually mean. To most the word girl means a young human female but to some particularly in the media it could well mean a boy who thinks he's a girl so not a female at all. I'm an American, and I say this every time we have a mass shooting. If I were that parent having to stand next to my child after witnessing something so horrific it would tear me up.

Of course it's being blamed on a black girl - such is the nature of our increasingly xenophobic and conspiracy-theory obsessed country. This is a Welsh-speaking secondary school, so even if she's white and of Ukrainian background, she must have lived in the area for most of her life, if not all of it. Welsh isn't the kind of language a recent immigrant, whether Ukrainian or not, can master to the extent that they're capable of being taught in it at secondary school level.

There's no way that a recent Russian immigrant is going to learn Welsh well enough to be taught in it at high-school level. Even if she was born in Russia, and/or is of Russian ancestry, she must have spent most of her life in Wales in order to have mastered Welsh to a level sufficient to attend Dyffryn Aman comprehensive school.

Talking to a few of the mums and one of their boys saw everything. Update: teacher got involved, there was some form of bullying going on and the girl has been caught bringing the knife into school before. It would seem teachers were made aware she was carrying a knife but the fight broke out before they got there. Update: she's Russian.

Every school in the UK has had plans for incidents since 1996.
Questions needs to be asked here how on earth a teenage girl armed with a knife to come into a school to do this is totally insane here. Searching pupils for knifes and weapons is important.

videos can be edited AI made videos and photos can look very realistic AI can accurately mimic voices hopefully that helps you with your "innocent until proven guilty" debate
@@Dermaa Yeah but who's gonna edit every single video? Besides, if the source of the video is a CCTV cam it's pretty safe. And regardless of all of this, there's plenty of crimes reported on video that don't get a conviction. I remember a recent case of a girl in Italy gang raped in the streets, but the judge has to ascertain whether it was consensual (madness).

Perhaps she has a bad home life which seems to be the norm these days. Maybe bullying took its toll and maybe she has mental health issues - or all three combined. The state of the mental health service in Wales and throughout the UK is abysmal - I hope the victims will recover, not just soonest but also in the distant future through trauma xx

We don't even know if it is really a girl. A similar incident just happened in the US. It took quite a while to find out it was in fact a BOY who identifies as a girl. So of course the reporters, the school, police and even the other children referred to the stabber as 'she'.
Even if that were true wouldn't change the severity of the attack one bit.
And it will not get better. And why did it happen?

I've noticed a significant uptick in violent youth crimes and just said to him this morning that he should thank his lucky stars that Australia has strict gun laws... for real!

@@Hartley_Hare People can tell which of their peers are not quite right. They may not be able to explain it like a psychologist, but they can sense that there is something wrong. Unfortunately, teachers coach students that shunning is wrong and to feel guilty for noticing that their peer is unusual.
