game just doesn't feel like battlefield used to feel, the gunplay, the movement the operators, lack of weapon customizations and the poor balance decisions, primarily the helicopters for example, the game feels like a bad cod clone, but even cod dilivers a better "battlefield" experience at some moments, personally it makes me worried about the future of Battlefield in general.

Seine was easily my favorite bf3 map. Then bazaar and Caspian and all the other good ones. But personally I always thought seine was a step above. I'm surprised it doesn't get more love now

1. Rao got changed recently so that if you hack something it reveals everything around it within 10m for a bit. This includes players, objects and vehicles, so you can hack a door in those buildings with automatic doors and it will reveal any enemies and gadgets in 10m. 2. Thermal optics on gunner seats need to be unlocked by getting kills with machine guns in a tank, then can be equipped by the driver for their gunners.

Grand bazaar would be a great choice but personally I'd love to see something from bf3 Close quarters or the Aftermath DLC even though I know it's extremely unlikely. A bundle of classic map remakes seems like an easy win for Dice plus possibly less work for the devs.

A budle of old maps is definitely an easy win. Lazy work, but... I'D LOVE IT! Old maps were the best, new maps are way worse unluckily. I don't care if it's just a manipulation of their older work, bring more old stuff back, it worked and it still works.

Im having an issue where i get into mp matches and im the only player. It doesn’t even fill the lobby with bots. Sometiems i might get in on a big map with a few other players to make it a 3 v 3 or so. Hit registration is still horrendous, constant crashes, and map bugs. L game.

I remember when BF3 did map packs centered around play types, i.e. close quarters, armored kill, etc. and that brought cool equipment, weapons, vehicles etc. that focused on that play types. Would love to see that again. Especially something like close quarters with the enhanced destruction would be awesome!

I would really love some changes to the gunplay. The G 428 is such a powerful rifle yet with its barely existent recoil it just feels like a toy gun. Same goes for so many other weapons. Some slight changes to the recoil patterns would likely help a lot. Especially when you consider the stupid ranges you can simply full auto someone at. That would also mean that you could decrease the spread on the weapons, a feature that I never really liked to begin with

Agree the guns & gunplay in bf3 felt real the way they would kick up and you had to control it with the analog stick or burst fire , in this game you can just full auto with no recoil , feels like your shooting airsoft guns in this game

Don't worry. They patched allllll the other guns before this. 4+ months ago I would take an RPT with a Thermal and pick off whole squads from 70m+. Headshots from 150m often. The RM68 should have been considered a sniper and AK24 was terrorism. G428 will be patched and be crap next. Lol 😆

I just went back and watched the BF3 Gulf of Oman trailer that released 11 years ago. Man what an incredible map. So may good memories playing it in BF2 and BF3. If they brought it back I would surely re-install the game

Just got into this game over the weekend and honestly, I'm shocked as to how much I'm enjoying it. Not my favorite BF game for sure, but a solid one, nonetheless. Also, I would love to see some BF4 stuff get added. Siege of Shanghai and Flood Zone (I think that was the name at least) would be great. Honestly my big thing about this game as far as maps go is the general lack of destruction, personality, and most importantly leval-lutions. As much as I have mixed feelings about Siege, the main building going down was such an insanely cinematic moment. I still remember a time where I had to jump off the building and into a friendly chopper only moments before it went down. That's one thing about 2042, it just doesn't really try to aim for those moments.

I'm seeing comments about the game being dead, but last I checked the Steam player count there's over 13,000 people still playing the game, and that's not including Xbox and PS5 players. Yeah the numbers aren't very high and you could argue whether or not that's sustainable for DICE to continue supporting it, but there's still a good number of players enjoying the game.

As weird and out of place as they would be without some HEAVY reworking, I'd love to see some BFOne maps. Specifically St Quentin Scar, Ballroom Blitz, Amiens, Rupture, Nivelle Nights, and maybe Pris De Tahure. So basically all of them. Most would probably need to be scaled-up in size to account for the modern weaponry, and maybe some should be "modernized" in terms of architecture. I just miss the feel of the BFOne maps. even BFV didn't quite capture the same feel for me.

Lowkey had a dream, about the next possible Battlefield. What if they made large destructive environments. Building toppling. Something comparable too 2012 the MOVIE. Lol idk. Probably wont happen but imagine it with 64 players, Buy amongst other things i want to see Dinosaurs , and just a more reality driven Battlfield Design, i like the advancement of technology in Shooters, it just needs to look and feel fleshed out to a higher extent which comes with more development time and a good story plot. Hopefully a story mode for Battlefield 6-7 or whatever it is called is good. Last thing for me is a clear customisation for the classes in multiplayer so that everyone looks proper according to their classes and factions. I also hope they bring back Naval Combat at leasr for a few maps in thr next BF title. Something like paracel Storm but better, or like a revamped wartorn Siege of Shanghai with more Building Drstruction and Water.

Do we actually want a Season 7? I’m happy to see 2042 in a better state compared to launch and admittedly, having a ton of fun playing it. I also didn’t play BFV but I’ve read how pulling support early can be a bad thing. However, with 2042 being in a good state, wouldn’t it be better for them to let the game ride off into the sunset and focus on the next game to make sure the same problems don’t occur?

EMP Grenades disrupt vehicles and players (scramble the hud and minor flash) and destroy all tech like Irish's Sentinel and Auto Turret. Rao makes vehicle guns not work on top of revealing enemies within 10m, I don't know if it disrupts HUDs anymore.

Trust me I give it a try too but get bored fast after a couple maps. Strike at Karkand, Dragon Valley, and Iwo Jima. The ability to switch teams when the other team is crap(just like BF2/3/4.) I did it often with a couple buddies to even it out. Would help a lot with those teams that have 5+ people quitting after going negative. See it too often.

I hope they continue support for 2042 and really take their time with the next Battlefield game so that we get a solid release that doesn't insta-kill the playerbase and leave the game desolate for 2 years. I'd really love to see them give portal some improvements. It has so much potential to be amazing, but it's really lacking in content.

1. Rao got changed recently so that if you hack something it reveals everything around it within 10m for a bit. This includes players, objects and vehicles, so you can hack a door in those buildings with automatic doors and it will reveal any enemies and gadgets in 10m. 2. Thermal optics on gunner seats need to be unlocked by getting kills with machine guns in a tank, then can be equipped by the driver for their gunners.
I played btf 2042 for 3 months and thats enough, battlefield 4 i played for 6 years games getting shittier and too fast

Grand bazaar would be a great choice but personally I'd love to see something from bf3 Close quarters or the Aftermath DLC even though I know it's extremely unlikely. A bundle of classic map remakes seems like an easy win for Dice plus possibly less work for the devs.

A budle of old maps is definitely an easy win. Lazy work, but... I'D LOVE IT! Old maps were the best, new maps are way worse unluckily. I don't care if it's just a manipulation of their older work, bring more old stuff back, it worked and it still works.
Im having an issue where i get into mp matches and im the only player. It doesn’t even fill the lobby with bots. Sometiems i might get in on a big map with a few other players to make it a 3 v 3 or so. Hit registration is still horrendous, constant crashes, and map bugs. L game.
Dice should just remaster bf3 and give up on on 2042

I'd love to see Road To Jalalabad from BF2 remade. It's one of the best maps that most people seem to have forgotten about. Mostly urban, but with a bit of space here and there.
I'd love an upscaled version of Tehran Highway from bf3. Not sure why but I always had fun on that map

I remember when BF3 did map packs centered around play types, i.e. close quarters, armored kill, etc. and that brought cool equipment, weapons, vehicles etc. that focused on that play types. Would love to see that again. Especially something like close quarters with the enhanced destruction would be awesome!
The map packs also continued the lore from the campaign too.
I love these uncut battlefield videos where Jack just rambles :D. They bring back so many great memories of playing battlefield and watching what's new in the current bf from Jacks videos. I watch the other content as well but there is just some special spice in Jacks bf videos. Thanks for the great videos over the years Mr frag :)

I would really love some changes to the gunplay. The G 428 is such a powerful rifle yet with its barely existent recoil it just feels like a toy gun. Same goes for so many other weapons. Some slight changes to the recoil patterns would likely help a lot. Especially when you consider the stupid ranges you can simply full auto someone at. That would also mean that you could decrease the spread on the weapons, a feature that I never really liked to begin with
Agree the guns & gunplay in bf3 felt real the way they would kick up and you had to control it with the analog stick or burst fire , in this game you can just full auto with no recoil , feels like your shooting airsoft guns in this game

Don't worry. They patched allllll the other guns before this. 4+ months ago I would take an RPT with a Thermal and pick off whole squads from 70m+. Headshots from 150m often. The RM68 should have been considered a sniper and AK24 was terrorism. G428 will be patched and be crap next. Lol 😆

I just went back and watched the BF3 Gulf of Oman trailer that released 11 years ago. Man what an incredible map. So may good memories playing it in BF2 and BF3. If they brought it back I would surely re-install the game

I think the resurgence of popularity at the launch of Season 6 has really helped bring new life to the game. I wouldn't be surprised (and I really hope) if we still have a few more seasons to come.
As a Rao player, you can use his hack ability to scan players through smoke to highlight for your self and teammates.. Would love to show you proper use of the character if interested.
Next year on this channel: MW3 campaign is totally great and is severely underrated.

Recently started coming back to BF2042 after a year on MWII, and man this game has seen some QoL improvements! Going to enjoy unlocking all the weapons I missed.

Just got into this game over the weekend and honestly, I'm shocked as to how much I'm enjoying it. Not my favorite BF game for sure, but a solid one, nonetheless. Also, I would love to see some BF4 stuff get added. Siege of Shanghai and Flood Zone (I think that was the name at least) would be great. Honestly my big thing about this game as far as maps go is the general lack of destruction, personality, and most importantly leval-lutions. As much as I have mixed feelings about Siege, the main building going down was such an insanely cinematic moment. I still remember a time where I had to jump off the building and into a friendly chopper only moments before it went down. That's one thing about 2042, it just doesn't really try to aim for those moments.
The "Iron Maiden" is the mechs from 2142 coming in Season 7.

I'm seeing comments about the game being dead, but last I checked the Steam player count there's over 13,000 people still playing the game, and that's not including Xbox and PS5 players. Yeah the numbers aren't very high and you could argue whether or not that's sustainable for DICE to continue supporting it, but there's still a good number of players enjoying the game.
Actually a RTS battlefield game could be very fun as a standalone thing since it’s been ages since we last got a general game and I for one desperately want a new game like that

Bf2042 needs a marine warfare based map , really miss that bf1 map with battleships , true battlefield , more close quarter maps should just be left for cod games .

I get the black screen as well and also I get no terrain at all. Even though I'm on the ground but the game thinks I'm falling down. Which happens every single time I load into my first match.
All I play is breakthrough and would love to see the portal maps put into it. Also fix Exposure for it. The bottom points are horrible.

got it a few days ago and have been having some fun. glad that they fixed a bit of what sucked. definitely some fun to have still. but id still rather play 5 or 1 or 4 but you can still find some fun here. Hope they can continue the fixes

I would like to see real balancing for the condor and super hind, I miss flying the hind after they removed it from a number of maps. The spawn option on those helis made for more dynamic gameplay

i mean ive heard rumors that there will be 7 and 8.. now i cant remember if 7th will be next month or early next year and the 8th season will be mid summer. then the new battlefield game will be out later that year.. this just a rumor..but hopefully its correct.

As weird and out of place as they would be without some HEAVY reworking, I'd love to see some BFOne maps. Specifically St Quentin Scar, Ballroom Blitz, Amiens, Rupture, Nivelle Nights, and maybe Pris De Tahure. So basically all of them. Most would probably need to be scaled-up in size to account for the modern weaponry, and maybe some should be "modernized" in terms of architecture. I just miss the feel of the BFOne maps. even BFV didn't quite capture the same feel for me.

Lowkey had a dream, about the next possible Battlefield. What if they made large destructive environments. Building toppling. Something comparable too 2012 the MOVIE. Lol idk. Probably wont happen but imagine it with 64 players, Buy amongst other things i want to see Dinosaurs , and just a more reality driven Battlfield Design, i like the advancement of technology in Shooters, it just needs to look and feel fleshed out to a higher extent which comes with more development time and a good story plot. Hopefully a story mode for Battlefield 6-7 or whatever it is called is good. Last thing for me is a clear customisation for the classes in multiplayer so that everyone looks proper according to their classes and factions. I also hope they bring back Naval Combat at leasr for a few maps in thr next BF title. Something like paracel Storm but better, or like a revamped wartorn Siege of Shanghai with more Building Drstruction and Water.

buff for the anti tank rifle would be nice. That sniper can be fun but it doesn't do anything to vehicles which is its main feature, which is a bit of a bummer.
I feel like they REALLY need to knock their next game out of the park. I honestly believe they can gain back the communities goodwill. And capitalize off of COD’s complacency. Would hate to see this series die off. The continuous updates to 2042 are awesome as well!
BFV had some really good Urban maps that worked with Armored vehicles.
For that map you’re playing on, they should have had actual destruction of what it looks like now. That would’ve been sooo awesome.

I ended up getting into BF 2042 yesterday. Had the most fun in a while to be honest. I just uninstalled MW2 just to try BF out and i have no regerts
Do we actually want a Season 7? I’m happy to see 2042 in a better state compared to launch and admittedly, having a ton of fun playing it. I also didn’t play BFV but I’ve read how pulling support early can be a bad thing. However, with 2042 being in a good state, wouldn’t it be better for them to let the game ride off into the sunset and focus on the next game to make sure the same problems don’t occur?
I ended up UNDER the map when spawning at a team mate and could see almost anyone in 'open' areas lol. Couldn't fire in or get in so had to respawn ofc.

EMP Grenades disrupt vehicles and players (scramble the hud and minor flash) and destroy all tech like Irish's Sentinel and Auto Turret. Rao makes vehicle guns not work on top of revealing enemies within 10m, I don't know if it disrupts HUDs anymore.
Every new BF2042 season Jack says the same thing man.. I love you jack but I bet even you think that this BF doesn't give you the same replay value as the greats before it. Trust me I give it a try too but get bored fast after a couple maps. Maybe it's just me, but it feels like they are constantly playing catch up and I don't see the essence we all love manifesting with this title.

Strike at Karkand, Dragon Valley, and Iwo Jima. The ability to switch teams when the other team is crap(just like BF2/3/4.) I did it often with a couple buddies to even it out. Would help a lot with those teams that have 5+ people quitting after going negative. See it too often.

I hope they continue support for 2042 and really take their time with the next Battlefield game so that we get a solid release that doesn't insta-kill the playerbase and leave the game desolate for 2 years. I'd really love to see them give portal some improvements. It has so much potential to be amazing, but it's really lacking in content.
