Just started playing 2042 again for the first time since launch week. Really enjoying the changes they have made, but I’m afraid that for most players, it’s too little too late
I have played it off and on since season two making it past the highest rank into the S0 ranks. I feel the same way. Great progress but it doesn't feel like bf at all to me. They also omitted it from their supported games on one of their shareholder calls.
I started playing at the begining of this season and I will continue as long as I can find full games on all maps. Really enjoying 2042 and its only bf moments. Its a solid game.

I returned about 2/3 months and I have the same feeling. If it was launched like this, people would say that was a "Ok" or Good" Battlefield not just a disaster like it was.

It’s so nice knowing I share the same experience with vehicles that Jack does. Spawn on a vehicle and it immediately gets destroyed or it literally one shot. So annoying lol. Great video jack!

absolutely love rush. Rush 128 is complete insanity and i love it. rush 128 should be a permanent game mode.
After I completed the BP I was like "cool now I don't have to play" but I find myself playing at least three rounds of whatever I click on and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Please bring back rush XL the chaos in that is unmatched

Lack of Vehicle/infantry balance (lack thereof) & class specific primary weapons are the biggest problems

Been watching your videos since the BF3 BF4 days and still amazing until now jack !! Let’s hope we see more of those days to come in the next battlefield but I do love playing 2042 after all the changes that were made still peak fun for me.

Great video! I find Rush is best mode personally. Ive been helping on a Custom Rush Template for everyone to use in Portal that will allow you to have your own MCOM locations. Cant wait to be done with it.

Every match I play is like this on 128 and really all modes and has been since release. love it
Rush is my favorite mode, always my go to when I play any BF game.
with the new change to recoil Assault rifles feel like SMGs now, theyre really good at close range but medium and far range youre just hoping RNG is on your side. Its such an unsatisfying way to kill people when you have your aim directly on them and youre just holding the trigger hoping fore one of the bullets to finaly go down the center rather than scatter all over the place. Battlefield Vs recoil was great, i really wish they kept that gunplay where you hand to pull down on your gun to control it and it just felt heavier as you held the trigger more. Now its just put aim on them and hope for the best.

The battlefield community is so annoying with wanting the game to be a lot more casual; hence the reason why BFV was so hated. There was like no casual gameplay in that game
@@enjoi9970 loved bf5 personally I don't feel like it was too hard for casual play though. Most weapons had fairly low, simple recoil patterns, projectile velocity was pretty high and lots of vehicles had high splash damage
You literally described why your bullets are not hitting the target: "just holding the trigger". That's what burst or tap firing is for, just like in previous BF games, except the spread is actually not that big in this game compared to BF3 or BF4, it's still perfectly viable to full auto an enemy at 40-50 meters with just very minimal recoil control. I find it funny that people say BFV's gunplay was great cause there was no "random spread" to it, did you know that in BFV they had what some called spread to recoil conversion? There was a similar mechanic to spread with the difference that it was the actual weapon that moved randomly all over the place. So no, you don't really get to control the recoil in BFV cause it was basically the same as spread, you still would have to tap or burst fire, or if you decided to just mindlessly hold the trigger like you say, "hope the recoil finally goes down the center rather than scatter all over the place".
@@Dustx12 That’s actually not true. If you actually test your shots in BFV it’s actually where you aim but the game had some significant visual recoil so therefore that visual recoil is what confuses people to think that the game has random recoil when it doesn’t

Started playing this again and it finally feels like a decent game. It’s not perfect but Jesus it’s came on leaps and bounds from launch! The M-Tar and the BSV are my go to guns!

Rush XL was insane with 128 players. Do you remember the aerodrome map on BF3? I think. Everyone was packed down the tunnels either side with huge boxes for cover. That was also insane. I stabbed you once there. I'll never forget it!

Rush is fun, wish it had squad rush too, that mode was pretty fun. The lack of persistent servers is really annoying. Having to que every round and getting the same maps back to back is a bummer. I can’t believe they still haven’t fixed that.
Yeah I do prefer staying in the same lobby rather than going to the menu and waiting for a match that often has already started. It's actually much better in rush and the weekly portal modes, they keep you in the same lobby

BF2042 feels so much better to play with 64 players. I haven’t played in 128 player gamemodes ever since I tried 64 player gamemodes
Me its the contrary. Not a fan of map layouts on 64p. Besides breakaway. Love the 128 players layout and the action and spectacle. It is harder and more choatique but I’m hooked on it now
@@shawnyscore6988 Same, I have always felt that Battlefield should continue to go up in scale and player count. So it can really be a "battlefield". The issue was never 128 players, it was the map designs.
@@pasindupereraSL yes but now I like them (maps) . It works. Take stranded and spearhead for example. Same layout 64 and 128 . 128 players much more fun IMO. Action everywhere

Been playing 2042 again until Starfield drops! It definitely has been fun, unlocking some of the guns has been challenging, but it is keeping me occupied until August 31st!

It's hilarious that people can't learn to control the spread, and the gunplay plays exactly the same way as it did before they added spread when within 40-50 meters, the spread is basically irrelevant at that range and can still braindead full auto beam people. Further than that it's just a matter of a little bit of burst firing and you can still get fairly easy kills. Now before people start saying "BFV's gunplay was the best cause there was no spread". Go read a bit about spread to recoil conversion in that game lol.
Proximity chat would be horrible , downed morons would be screaming at medics , even though they had the option to play a character that can self heal

I played with ACW-R on rush, and even on Friday-Night-Battlefield. And every single time, i absolutely destroy. Jack, i reccomend that you give this gun another try, and trust me, you won't be sorry.

Man game was unplayable on my one x but I started playing again a couple months ago and it’s phenomenal. Maps are ok but otherwise it’s one of the best battlefields made.
