Most of these are heart shots with the exception of the bear that was near the river. That one was probably lungs. Other shots to bears are seen as unethical. You may be surprised that a shot to the heart is seldom ever immediately lethal -- even in humans; this is the case. it will take a few seconds or minutes for you to black out and sometimes (though rarely) people will survive being shot in the heart when a medical triage is quick to arrive. If you've ever seen a bear drop dead the second it is shot I can guarantee you it was dumb luck.

    • He’s feeding his family with this meat. humans have done this since the dawn of time in order to survive and non of us would be here today if that wasn’t the case. The way that store bought meat is gathered is done in a way that is 1000000% worse and cruel. This man is doing it in such a better way for the animal, it got to live its life up until that moment as the top of the food chain. Where as cows and chickens that are born into the slaughterhouse and live in terrible conditions their whole life until they are killed. Now, if this dude was just killing bears for sport and to make a rug but disposing of the meat then yeah I’m with you. That’s shitty. But he’s freezing the meat and has enough to feed his entire family for a REALLY long time and all it costed him was $250 and some labour. Lastly, if shit were to ever hit the fan and we were all forced to live off the land and do our own hunting and gathering, wouldn’t you want to be able to provide for your family in this way & have the knowledge/capability to do so? You don’t have to agree with me but I feel like there’s a different lense to see this through.

I absolutely adore hunting especially for black bear, and it solidified even more so after getting my first this past year, but in States like the one I'm in you don't have the luxury of using dogs or a bait Barrel so being a naturally skilled Hunter and using your skill-set and quite a bit of luck is what you have to rely on. It doesn't take skill to get a bear off of a barrel. That's just my opinion on it though, whatever your method, best of luck and may our Arrows fly straight and shots never drop

  • Killing animals for no reason is really inappropriate , everyone will talk abt it's nt against law, so many countries already made it clear killing animals is unlawful and punishable , I hope every country soon do it when animals reach their extinct time..., I dont appreciate Killing such huge strength animals with weapons and taking credit that it's their pride act.....

    • First off we don't hunt animals for "no reason", we hunt animals as the meat we harvest from them is a big portion of our familes diet. Second, getting outside and hunting not only provides a great healthy and enjoyable activity but it also means we are doing all the hard work ourselves from many days hunting before successfully harvesting an animal, actually harvesting the animal and most often butchering our own meat, rather then have other people do it for us and buying it nicmey wrapped in a grocery store.

    • @@canadaintheroughtv I understand your reasoning, but those who raise animals, spend money and time on them, and then take their life in exchange. You take their life without giving anything in return.

    • @@edivaD62 that’s incorrect. We pay license fees and tag fees. Those fees are used by the government to hire biologists who study and manage these animals to ensure their optimal health and balanced populations. Without hunters paying these fees the management programs would not have any funding as the non hunters are the ones that do not pay anything to help the wildlife.

    • @@edivaD62 though we have nothing against industrial farming, the one big difference with consuming wild game vs farmed animals is wild animals have lived their entire lives free and wild. What "we give them" is a wild and free life. And there is actually often a lot of money that is spent on them before harvesting as their will be money put into the land they live on (helping improve it for the animals) and depending on the animal and hunter, sometimes lots of money is even spent on feed for many years before they become mature enough to harvest, often several years of work and money.
