Russia said. They would not tolerate NATO in Ukraine. Because if someone wanted to attack Russia, their best chance is to do it through Ukraine. So my conclusion is that if NATO did not take the aggressive position, there would be no war.

We don't hear him. We read a someone's else interpretations and claims that what He has said. The common problem in the news industry, that makes it trustworthy, is that you have no original source in many information. You see a video, and you see text of something and then you hear someone else speaking or explaining things. These three are often separate information, and you can use this method to mix little truth, to create disinformation or simply misinformation. European main stream media does not, is purposely, wanting to mislead their audience.

Orban jeopardizing European cohesion as usual. Someone explain to me how in the world the EU is ever to compete with China/Russia/USA if we don't have a cohesive system of governance and resource allocation (read: POWER). I am not a fan of much of EUs inner workings, and the system certainly needs a redesign especially in terms of preserving the inner autonomy of states, but Europe is doomed if we abandon the EU. We will forever stay vassals of geopolitical superpowers if we don't stick to some sort of cooperation beyond bilateral relations. Hopefully we will regain military autonomy as a collective entity somewhere near in the future, without US help. Yes, Ukraine is not currently "sovereign", its integrity compromised in 2014 by Russia. If we have to choose between two evils, Ukraine must for some time stay under the wing of the west, and not fall to Russia. Orban thinks he can regain Berehove but playing with the idea of Ukraine's future integrity. The truth is that the US does not want a strong EU, Russia does not want a strong EU, China does not want a strong EU. This opinion of the EU being an evil decadent project is injected by these great powers into European society through social media and through financing of eurosceptic parties. Putin is paying Orban handsomly for sticking to this opinon as well (see also how the Republican party in the US supports parties like Orban's and PiS in Poland).
