  • If I play fps games, do I go for a 165 hz ips or va model. Im going for good response times but also rlly good colors (doesnt have to be anything top end tho, fps over resolution for me)

    • The Asus OLED... IPS has terrible backlight bleed and in dark scenes you will notice this. I have an IPS monitor from ViewSonic that is just sitting in a corner because of backlight bleed and ill just wait till someone here at my work needs a new monitor and change that out for them. OLED is the way to go and the new OLED's coming out this spring/summer will be even better. 4K OLED's will be priced the same as the 1440p 16:9 and 21:9 ones now, so you might want to wait a bit longer and get that 1440p for less.

  • In short 1) OLED - Perfection in everything other than price with potentially burn-in issues / Best response times 2) IPS - Better colors for bad contrast and screen glowing issues / ghosting / Good response times 3) VA - Solid contrast mediocre colors and motion blur / lightning issues / Great response times

  • After OLED with ALLM, G-Sync and VRR. 7ms response time for gaming, with hardly any motion blur. I can never go back to VA or IPS. Sure the brightness takes a hit but I play in a dark room which is more than bright enough.

  • For me it's OLED and it's because I understand it's technology however if I want to advise in purchasing a monitor I would tell em to go for a IPS Black monitor, but right now there isn't one with at least 120 hz, although you can game fine at 60hz, 120 hz is the sweet spot. I game with Dell UltraSharp U3223QE @ 60hz and it beats any monitor because it has deeper color accuracy and deeper blacks like an OLED. This monitor was meant for creative designers but I use it for gaming and it's perfect. There are future OLED monitors coming and they will be better than IPS Black and QD-OLED and will even beat WOLED too.

  • IPS is the best where OLED sufer from burning.

    @bahaasami3344@bahaasami33444 ай бұрын
    • I disagree, OLED burn-in is a major issue however, owners that are aware of this issue can easilly avoid it. In gaming OLEDs tend to have the fastest response times whilst having amazing colour accuracy and of course, deep blacks.

    • As a VA owner who has used an IPS screen before, I hate the contrast of IPS, it looks too bright or glowy and while the colours are great, it sometimes makes things look washed out, it can be fine for gaming but it isn't great for watching movies/videos. While VA is slower and has weird colours, or ghosting, it still pretty much looks better besides in media work such as photoshop. Next time I buy a monitor I will go for OLED and not buy IPS no matter what, OLED is perfect and the burn in is easy to avoid.

  • save your money and go for IPS. panel . and you can super control your contrast. Your welcome. OLED have more contrast and JUST THAT. but with IPS panel you CAN CONTROL DE CONTRAST TOO. SO . DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY .
