Jack may be a perfect example of why singers, especially males, should not be permitted to compete in singing competitions until after their voices change after puberty. He had an amazing voice when he won, but his voice completely changed as he aged. Still a good voice, but not the same that made many fall in love with him and vote. Similar happened to Billy Gilman who didn't win a competition but was adored as a young country artist. His voice changed, not as drastically as Jack's, and his popularity waned.
