Beautiful Moment as Crowd Helps Lewis Capaldi Get Through Song
* Tourette's syndrome is a condition that causes a person to make involuntary sounds and movements called tics. *
* Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. *
Lewis Capaldi was struggling to sing because of his Tourette’s syndrome. The crowd got louder and sang with him.
The captions also refer to the fact that Lewis Capaldi had mentioned that he needed a break: Before his final song, he told the crowd: “I recently took three weeks off just because I've been non-stop the past year and I wanted to take a wee break from my head for my mental health. I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it's obviously so incredible so I just want to thank you all for coming out.”

Imagine the ride of emotions he must of felt...... First the embarrassment and frustration of having an episode at that time then the overwhelming love and support from thousands of strangers to the comfort and appreciation knowing and feeling the connection they share with him. 😚
Yes. This is the definition of karma….. What you give out comes back to you 7 fold. Or in this case thousands fold… The energy he received from the audience would have been incredible and something he’ll never forget.
Your an empath 🙏🏼
"Could of, must of, would of" is incorrect. Always use "have" not "of"

Imagine if they laughed at him instead of singing his lyrics that's the difference from the known and unknown
That’s beautiful. The fact that the crowd isn’t screaming the lyrics and is actually singing is so wholesome. We need more people to be like the members of this crowd.

When your music touches people's hearts , that truly amazing and a gift to so many Lewis deserves every fan he's got.

Kippenvel zo mooi ❤
I thought the same thing 😢😢
Absolutely..🌹🌹
And the realization that he have created something that resonate with millions
This exact second is the part i always realise THIS is a special moment...You summed it up PERFECTLY
The fact he stayed on stage to soak in the love. Amazing.
Love this. I have a child with Tourette’s and showed him this video. It meant so much for him to see such a successful person with tics and to see the support of the crowd.❤
This is the comment I was looking for. I have tourettes as well. This is a deautiful display of humanity. Tell your kiddo everything's gonna be just fine. I worked my butt off and didn't let ts stop me. Now I play with race cars for fun. ❤ God speed 🙏
My son had horrible tics with involuntary verbal outbursts. We were told there is no cure from I don't know how many Doctors. Well that's not true. We turned to Medical Marijuana And it was instant. Within 24 hours all Tics disappeared. We continued him on the pill form for about a year and stopped it. The tics never returned and he is %100 tic free today and that was about 5 years ago that we stopped the pills.. He had tics for about 4-5 years prior to the pill. Its works , please look into it.
The highest reward for a poet and composer is when people (unknown to you) sing your song for you.
Man this brought me to tears! The fact that the crowd helped him and showing unconditional respect and admiration for this brave man! Get well soon Legend!

@@ryansweeney1661 there’s always one prick that pops out from under his rock 🪨 and today @ryansweeney it’s you who’s receiving the biggest prick award 🥇 so well done 👏 dickhead
You'd be surprised how many people sing the songs of their favorite bands when they are at concerts and the singer stops. This video has made up a fake situation for views by claiming they were helping him sing the song.
@@eft3415 how can the video "make up a fake situation" when the situation literally was him having a tourette episode and being unable to sing? Just because any action is done normally doesn't mean said cation can't sometimes help someone. Yes fans sing the songs of their favourite bands, that doesn't mean this very thing can't at times actually help a singer through a song, intentional or not. The fans probably would've sang either way, but when they saw the episode they likely felt encouraged to do so even more. Capaldi on the other hand was visibly and audibly trying to sing but was unable to, so them singing did in fact help him finish the song. Capaldi literally canceled his tour because of his condition, because he feels he can't perform at the standard his fans deserve.
I am an old lady of 72 and just discovered Lewis Capaldi from watching his Netflix documentary.I knew absolutely nothing about this young man but realized that i have been listening to his lovely songs and beautiful voice often from the radio while driving. He seem like a very down to earth guy and the documentary shows how much pressure a successful music artist has to endure to produce more hit songs. Covid stopped all of us in our tracks ... including Lewis's singing career... Watching the video with him having an attack of Tourette's Syndrome during a performance had me in tears, as his adoring audience was helping him finish his song when he couldn't do it. It was a heartbreaking and a heartwarming moment all at once. Respect and kindness toward LC was beautiful to see. I adore this young man and wish him health and much happiness. xx
You're not old, that lovely heart will keep pumping for many years more
The pressure that is on any entertainer is self inflicted and overly hyped. There are millions of people with real jobs that know what actual pressure is. Not to sound mean, it is amazing that he is able to overcome his illness and be successful. But not being able to write the next hit song won’t cost someone their life.
@@TheCrazyMoparDude68 Hmm, and those people with "real jobs" didn't inflict it on themselves?. At least this guy is giving value to millions...if you are 50 and work in McDonald's...you fucked up..

@@andyt9181she identifies as 72. How dare you!
He truly has a beautifully deep and mesmerizing voice. I can hear him sing all night long. Who cares about the Tourette’s he’s a compassionate and beautifully sensitive artist. Love him.
He’s the only artist I’d ever want to attend a concert for
People keep saying it’s humanity helping him, I think it’s the song that has helped humanity.
People are often taught to put on a perfect face, instead of share their feelings. But this video is literally the response people would get if only we started sharing more. Lewis has been honest as hell and we support him! Most people only want to help ❤
3 weeks ago I suddenly fainted by the heat... Fell on my head, blood, ambulance, the works. But so many people were helping me out. On the street, in the hospital. It was in one word: Amazing!! There is so much unseen goodness around us.

I'm one of those people that really isn't into mainstream music but Lewis has to be the most humble, funny, down to earth guy ever he genuinely deserves his fame.

Watching you child being born kinda trumps it.
Personally I think this will go down in Glastonbury history for all of the right reasons!!! The guy is absolutely what the music world needs at the moment. He’s a saint
I’m speechless, that had me in tears, my daughter was at Glastonbury and told me about this, but seeing this video , my gosh what an amazing moment for humanity . Wow . Love and respect to Lewis his courage is an inspiration. 💕💕💕🇬🇧
This shows exactly how important music is at bringing people together mesmerising
This is so emotional. We lost our son to suicide, he didn't ask for help. Hang in there Lewis. You've got more love and support around you than you may think. I admire your courage to get up on that stage.
I am very sorry for your loss and hope you feel better now too. ❤ Absolutely breaks my heart hearing from parents about losing their children. The pain must be immesurable.

This made me cry. That audience was amazing for what they did for him. I usually hate when they sing as I'd rather hear the person. Much love to him and I hope he sees just how respected and loved he is.❤
Respect to everyone that helped him out when he was struggling 🙏. You all showed so mutch love and you made me crying like a baby. ❤️ A really amazing beautiful moment, that shows how we humans should be against each other all the time.
I just wanted to clarify that although everyone, including the author of this video, has good intentions, Tourettes is NOT a mental illness. It is a neurological movement disorder. Tics can often worsen when the person is experiencing anxiety or nervousness, so it is easy to see how people can confuse Tourettes with a mental illness. As a mother of a son with Tics and Tourettes it is great to see awareness and support from many, but please educate yourselves a bit more before making comments and statements. Honest mistakes, I know, so there is no anger here on my part. Just want to make sure people know how to properly "categorize" Tourettes. All the best to Lewis Capaldi. He gives me a lot of hope and encouragement for my son.
How nice that despite everything there are moments when you realize that you have left a mark on other people.
I love when the crowds sing but this has a whole lot more to it
He's very well loved that boy ❤
Very brave and truly inspiring. Not only brave Lewis but the audience for understanding and supporting. Made me cry. This is what our country should be like instead of the gear caused by the Jackboot Tories.
Nothing has changed. You're still the man we all love. You have changed our lives with your voice/ talent. And we all thank you for it. Why stop now? You're just getting started, brother. Never give up, and never serender.❤

You are such an inspiration and have an incredible talent, Don't chase money, chase happiness & when you are back preforming I'm sure we will all be there again singing along again.
in a world that constantly reminds us of how harsh and ugly it can be, there are occasional diamonds like this that remind us to be hopeful and kind
as someone who also struggles with tourettes, this moment from the crowd is just so touching 🥺 we love you Lewis 🫶
Feels amazing I have it to
Man, if you're a good person, people will be good back. Nothing wrong with taking a step back, reassess, and come back stronger, healthier. What a beautiful moment - love you Lewis ❤
This makes me cry. I hope he doesn’t feel alone and we understand. Deeply.
Sometimes, even for a short moment, this world seems to be a perfect place. Without any hatred, but pure love and bliss ❤✨
That's a whole generation that grew knowing, informed and alert about mental health issues. I'm ashamed to acknowledge that while I was growing up, some 50 years ago, we didn't. He would have been mocked and booed and ridiculed... Thank you kids!! I have hope... Your generations, as ours, might be full of flaws, but things like this, keep me hoping that the world is a better place for my children to live in.
A young gentleman, full of bravery, graces the stage with his songs, despite wrestling with Tourette's syndrome in front of a vast crowd. So, before casting any judgment, ask yourself: Would I have the courage to do the same? One of the most beautiful moments I've ever seen ❤
Not all heros wear capes and this is one of those moments
OMG .... I'm crying my eyes out .... proof that somewhere out there are PEOPLE with heart and soul ... AMAZING ... God bless you all 🥲🥲🥲🙏🙏🙏
This video is so touching it changed my life and I'm a 72 year old man. I intend to watch it every day before I begin my interaction with others. The world as it should be is a very beautiful thing indeed!!!
Man I would love to go to his concerts for the chance to even hear the crowd sing....mental health is serious and from a social care workers opinion him been on stage and singing for his crowd despite knowing this could happen shows what type of man he is and everyone knows it...a good heart and a kind human who cares about inspiring and empowering those with mental health and tourets...it really does take a toll and I hope he takes time tor recover and if not if he just learns to work alongside his tourets and sing parts of songs I think fans would even love it more because he actually gets to hear them and live in the moment where you know everyone of them singing has learned your song and is singing it back to you....that's something special....take care young man much love -the Irish 🇮🇪
This is beautiful , thank you so much for posting this. I lost my teenage son to suicide in 2020 and Lewis Capaldi's music has meant so much to me since. What a terrible thing Tourette's is and poor Lewis was really struggling up there in front of all his fans. How fantastic it was to see the crowd helping him get through his set. What a wonderful and unforgettable moment in Glastonbury history. I hope you get well soon Lewis and wish you all the best for a speedy recovery.
This literally has me crying. So emotional. Such a great voice, but the way the crowd jumped in and the true emotion on his face
Seeing this has restored my faith in Humanity. Absolutely Beautiful! Love you, Lewis! Thank you Glastonbury ~ You Rock! ❤
Next to Queen's "Radio Ga Ga" performance at Live Aid (ok who's kidding - their ENTIRE set at Live Aid), this is probably the best concert crowd participation moment ever.
His fans are now used to this, Seeing it happening so often shows he has loyal fans all over the world 🤘
What a cool dude. That crowd out there...covering for you, is what you earn by being a good, kind person. People who love you and will go to bat for you. "You'll know them by their fruits" We certainly saw yours, Lewis Capaldi.
One talented beautiful soul right there. Lewis take as long as you need, we will all still be here waiting for you..your come back will be stronger than ever before, ❤

I'm in tears at this whole video. Lewis, his struggles, the love just flowing from the crowd. God..if only the world could be this beautiful most of the time, eh?
I haven't had happy tears like that in a long long time, there are still good people
I'm in tears. My daughter has Gilles de la Tourette. Watch the movie of him, what a brave fight this is, with well-intentioned misunderstanding! Dude, what are you going through physical and emotional pain! Hold on and take a break for a while. It doesn't have to end your career. I hope the public reaction only encourages you. Come on. You have courage to have become a figurehead.
This is so beautiful. 🥲🥲As a person who has struggled with anxiety and depression for 25 years, beginning back when we absolutely did not talk about it, I am moved to tears that we’ve come this far in acceptance and kindness. Keep talking and sharing your stories. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It’s a complex, physical illness that deserves the same respect as all other illnesses. No one Chooses it.
It shows what a legend he really is, most singers would of gone off stage, it made me cry and when the crowd took over what a beautiful moment
Ive never known anyone as universaly ardored as this lad! ❤ He's just the best human. Love ya lewis.

From one side an international artist who reveled his human weakness, from the other wonderful people who wants to enjoy the moment as much they could. Few people with phones, many people singing. Literally wonderful, I cannot stop crying.
Thank you Lewis, for your power, your belief in yourself and humanity and for your courage. Get well and enjoy the feelings your music transports.
Imagine what we could accomplish as humans if we all responded in this way when we saw someone else struggle.
Look at all those people helping him with his song! This is love, this is kindness, this is support, this is being there for someone. This is something that is rare. This doesn't happen to just anyone. Which is sad. However I'm happy that this young man has people who are there for him. Keep going Lewis. Never give up.

I love this man. It must be so difficult for him and yet he always trys his hardesy to get through everything for his fans
If Only the Entire World Could Be This Compassionate and Supportive.....❤👏👏👏
Lewis Capaldi is probably one of the most genuine, funny, talented, kind hearted celebrities who always finds time for others, from what I've seen he has an incredibly close, supportive family, when I started reading these comments I was touched by how many lovely comments were here.....then out come the vicious, nasty, snide little remarks and I feel saddened by them, my heart sinks but thankfully its the minority and not the majority. I'm just a normal everyday person but his music has got me through some of the worst times of my life and I hope he continues to bless us with his gift, that he takes as long as he needs because he'll still sell out all his concerts in 12 months or 10 years time, and hopefully he will headline Glastonbury and I will be one of the many, many people who would spend my hard earned money to see him and all you sad little haters can stay at home tapping on your keyboards kicking some other unfortunate person whilst they're down, hope it makes you feel better.
Leaves a lump in my throat watching this. Not a particular fan of his music but I like him as a person, he came across really decent and genuine in his documentary, i really wish him well. I hope he can come back stronger. ❤
Growing up with tourettes was completely miserable. People can be so mean to those who are different. This made me happy to witness...
So beautiful why can’t humans be like this all the time. Get well soon Lewis!

I think this is my favorite moment of 2023 so far. How the crowd shows such humanity and support when he needed it is just beautiful. 😢
Watching this with tears in my eyes because of the kindness and love his fans showed, just incredible. xo Lewis Capaldi fan forever
So many stigmas around mental health which are being broken down, what the crowd did for Lewis would have helped him so much because it wasn't just that moment but all the moments to come, he can look back and that memory will always help him get through, love and power to you Lewis.
Bless him, so sad. Good on those who did this wonderful thing for him. I only wish poor Aaron Carter got more love and support, instead of bullying, lies and hate. Aaron (RIP) and Lewis are both incredibly courageous.
And amidst the tourettes for a small brief moment when he sees the crowd I'm pretty sure he thought this, this moment is what made it all worth it.
This is the world I dream of the world I wish for my kids a world of caring and compassion
