Beautiful Moment as Crowd Helps Lewis Capaldi Get Through Song
* Tourette's syndrome is a condition that causes a person to make involuntary sounds and movements called tics. *
* Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. *
Lewis Capaldi was struggling to sing because of his Tourette’s syndrome. The crowd got louder and sang with him.
The captions also refer to the fact that Lewis Capaldi had mentioned that he needed a break: Before his final song, he told the crowd: “I recently took three weeks off just because I've been non-stop the past year and I wanted to take a wee break from my head for my mental health. I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it's obviously so incredible so I just want to thank you all for coming out.”

    • My son had horrible tics with involuntary verbal outbursts. We were told there is no cure from I don't know how many Doctors. Well that's not true. We turned to Medical Marijuana And it was instant. Within 24 hours all Tics disappeared. We continued him on the pill form for about a year and stopped it. The tics never returned and he is %100 tic free today and that was about 5 years ago that we stopped the pills.. He had tics for about 4-5 years prior to the pill. Its works , please look into it.

    • You'd be surprised how many people sing the songs of their favorite bands when they are at concerts and the singer stops. This video has made up a fake situation for views by claiming they were helping him sing the song.

      @eft3415@eft341510 ай бұрын
    • @@eft3415 how can the video "make up a fake situation" when the situation literally was him having a tourette episode and being unable to sing? Just because any action is done normally doesn't mean said cation can't sometimes help someone. Yes fans sing the songs of their favourite bands, that doesn't mean this very thing can't at times actually help a singer through a song, intentional or not. The fans probably would've sang either way, but when they saw the episode they likely felt encouraged to do so even more. Capaldi on the other hand was visibly and audibly trying to sing but was unable to, so them singing did in fact help him finish the song. Capaldi literally canceled his tour because of his condition, because he feels he can't perform at the standard his fans deserve.

  • I am an old lady of 72 and just discovered Lewis Capaldi from watching his Netflix documentary.I knew absolutely nothing about this young man but realized that i have been listening to his lovely songs and beautiful voice often from the radio while driving. He seem like a very down to earth guy and the documentary shows how much pressure a successful music artist has to endure to produce more hit songs. Covid stopped all of us in our tracks ... including Lewis's singing career... Watching the video with him having an attack of Tourette's Syndrome during a performance had me in tears, as his adoring audience was helping him finish his song when he couldn't do it. It was a heartbreaking and a heartwarming moment all at once. Respect and kindness toward LC was beautiful to see. I adore this young man and wish him health and much happiness. xx

  • I just wanted to clarify that although everyone, including the author of this video, has good intentions, Tourettes is NOT a mental illness. It is a neurological movement disorder. Tics can often worsen when the person is experiencing anxiety or nervousness, so it is easy to see how people can confuse Tourettes with a mental illness. As a mother of a son with Tics and Tourettes it is great to see awareness and support from many, but please educate yourselves a bit more before making comments and statements. Honest mistakes, I know, so there is no anger here on my part. Just want to make sure people know how to properly "categorize" Tourettes. All the best to Lewis Capaldi. He gives me a lot of hope and encouragement for my son.

  • I'm in tears. My daughter has Gilles de la Tourette. Watch the movie of him, what a brave fight this is, with well-intentioned misunderstanding! Dude, what are you going through physical and emotional pain! Hold on and take a break for a while. It doesn't have to end your career. I hope the public reaction only encourages you. Come on. You have courage to have become a figurehead.

  • This is so beautiful. 🥲🥲As a person who has struggled with anxiety and depression for 25 years, beginning back when we absolutely did not talk about it, I am moved to tears that we’ve come this far in acceptance and kindness. Keep talking and sharing your stories. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It’s a complex, physical illness that deserves the same respect as all other illnesses. No one Chooses it.

  • Look at all those people helping him with his song! This is love, this is kindness, this is support, this is being there for someone. This is something that is rare. This doesn't happen to just anyone. Which is sad. However I'm happy that this young man has people who are there for him. Keep going Lewis. Never give up.

  • Lewis Capaldi is probably one of the most genuine, funny, talented, kind hearted celebrities who always finds time for others, from what I've seen he has an incredibly close, supportive family, when I started reading these comments I was touched by how many lovely comments were here.....then out come the vicious, nasty, snide little remarks and I feel saddened by them, my heart sinks but thankfully its the minority and not the majority. I'm just a normal everyday person but his music has got me through some of the worst times of my life and I hope he continues to bless us with his gift, that he takes as long as he needs because he'll still sell out all his concerts in 12 months or 10 years time, and hopefully he will headline Glastonbury and I will be one of the many, many people who would spend my hard earned money to see him and all you sad little haters can stay at home tapping on your keyboards kicking some other unfortunate person whilst they're down, hope it makes you feel better.
