    • It’s called a “snort-wheeze”. All deer can/will make that sound, but in this context they want it to seem like the decoy is making his presence known to the real buck. Basically making it seem as if the decoy is asserting his dominance. So that the real buck will come assert HIS dominance by attacking the decoy.
