Relive the full final run of the Women's Skeleton competition from the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang that was held at the Alpensia Sliding Centre. German athlete Jacqueline Loelling as well as Lizzy Yarnold and Laura Deas from Great Britain made it to the top 3. Who would secure the first place? Enjoy watching and find out!

    • A luge practitioner told me once that skeleton is the most stable of the 3 sledges, and that you never flip over, fall or fly in the air with it. Bobsleigh, where you are far more protected tends to flip over far more easily, and luge is probably the most dangerous since you are not protected at all and the sledge tends to fly at any mistake made.

Everything I can ask for; obscure, no sponsor backing, no fan support, no notoriety , nobody cares, all to race 4 runs, once every 4 years, to risk your life for absolutely no money & if you are lucky, a gold plated piece of lead. 🥇🛷🛷 That's what we call passion, kids!

  • This MUST be the most dangerous sport ever. 140 km/h, head first down on a hill with two swords under you. Shoulders bouncing everytime. They should at least use some neck protection, like F1 pilots...

  • At least in luge you can use your legs as a crash buffer, skeleton looks unreal, though I guess at that sort of speed it doesn’t make much difference.
