The last "natural disaster" in Stockport occurred in 1948 when my mother in law was born at Stepping Hill Hospital.
😂😂
I've heard even though the war ended in 1945 the old girl still has some bomb damage on her.
Best Quote Ever!!🤣👏
The alternator failed on my ancient Citroen Dyane in Stockport on Xmas eve 1977. I had to get back to Leeds.....I made it..switching the lights off if nothing was coming 😱 Needs must....and all that.
If your Missus, reads this bit....Ouch!😂😂😂😂
My favourite car channel on KZhead, by a country mile. Matt is a dyed in the wool car enthusiast, has a brilliant self deprecating humour, is knowledgeable , has an honest face, is a brilliant presenter and seems to be a decent chap. Always look forward to the next car.
Thanks!
Honest Face?? He’s a used car dealer, so that’s wrong!!😂😂😂😂
Def someone I’d buy a car from without a doubt. 😊
....but he's a City fan!
I was in hospital last year, and watching Matt's antics kept me out of a very dark place. Have a look at Flipping Bangers with Will Trickett, no competition for Matt as they are at different ends of the spectrum - but again, a really excellent show with two very honest and enthusiastic presenters.
Let me guess, Matt overspent.
It's getting about as certain as the Wonder-Grip van being parked up...... High Fly tyres.. they sound like real ditch finders. Not normally bad sellers these, and usually reliable even when older...
Fr
Massively overspent, I suppose.
Massively
Your just an honest guy pass it on make a bit move on 😊
what happened to the front discs , the parcel shelf , new number plates and reasons for the car pulling to the left and steering wheel grating sound.....I feel unfulfilled by this episode 🤣
yes there were no comments
6:59 "Missing a D there" Even the cars sad about it, its saying "Aw" lol
Parcel shelf Matt!
And number plates?
Always £100 💀☠️💀
Number plates, £15, and Matt fits those himself!😂😊
Always in for some fresh content. Bless you😊
Thanks for the before/after shots near the end. Good to see direct comparison.
Love the vids matt 🎉❤
You should move to The Highlands - it rains here in the first week in October and twice in January - the rest of the time it is sunny. Trust me- I'm an Estate Agent!!!!!
He's just up the road from Forres in a hamlet called Forreal...
And snows the rest of the year.
The rest of the year is so dark you cannot see the weather.
I thought it only rained twice a year in Scotland: February to the end of July and August to earlyJanuary.
Great video as always Matt. Love it pal.
£180 for the wheel refurbishment is a bargain (IMO) superb job! Makes a massive impact on the car 😀👍🏻
100% I wanted to do on mine but I had quotes or 400+
@@sagiroth121 Same here down in sunny Hampshire. I think in general wheel refurbs have gone into rip off territory
I paid £240 about 6 years ago and same place now want about £320.
@@richf1182£80 per wheel. I wanted one of mine done and then I found a perfect wheel on e Bay with a good tyre for £70. So I even kept the old wheel as a spare gained a tyre and saved £10.
@@richf1182 About the same time I paid £200 for four Passat wheels. Just been quoted £390 for a Golf
Had mine three years and I love it. Only use BP diesel and she’s fully serviced every year and I clean her regularly 😊😅
You could live here in the Loire Valley in French France with that skill in the local vernacular and wake up to blue skies and wine!
Great work Matt. Spending that bit more, made for a much better result. Keep up the good work.
Great video mate, love the content keep up the good work.
Great video Matt. You do a great job 👏 you deserve more 👍
I quite like that kia matt I know 3 people who have had them and they all say there great cars and very reliable but as you say full service history is the key to a good vehicle another great video matt 👍 I know I've asked you before when are you going to do the follow up video on your 07 4.2 audi a8 you bought looking forward to that matt 👍
Another great video. Keep them coming!
Airvidox! Good to hear i wasn’t the only one struggling to find that product. Thanks for sharing, finally 😄
Glad I could help!
Best channel on KZhead, watched every video. Thanks for making these
Wow, thanks!
Your videos are so good and I keep thinking how undervalued used cars are when you think about all the engineering in them. Amazing value for money.
Another great vid! Thanks for the entertainment. 👍
Thanks!
Your style just keeps getting better
great video matt as always
Great review Matt
Hi matt, at least you done a great job on the car as usual, from marty in Belfast northern Ireland God bless
I had a 2012 KX3 auto and absolutely loved it. We also towed a caravan which it did brilliantly. Regularly serviced and sold it last year at 106k miles. Now have a Skoda Karoq DSG which is also awesome.
Another great video Matt.what is a 2019 automatic 1.3 quashki like , is one worth buying 😊 many thanks if you can help👍
Mate of mine has the identical car but on a 62 plate & in the 3 or 4 years he's owned it the car has been excellent.
Great vlog nick and jo and a great picnic
Hi matt Best channel Going Fan from Ireland.
Hello there!
Wow, the transformation was a night and day difference, those wheels looked like brand new. Great video, as always Matt❤.
Thanks!
Your mobile wheel restorer does a great job for £180, they look the biz now!
Another great video, thanks Matt. Thanks for the Airvidox tip I just bought a Hyundai Tucson for the wife and the previous owners were DOG people i have had all the seats out cleaned them all and the carpet but I can still smell a little dog somewhere lets hope Airvidox can set it free, other than that its a great car. Keep the vids coming Matt and your buddies at Transformotion, they have a good youtube channel too, i hope it keeps growing for them like yours has for you. Cheers.
Huge respect to you paying out to sort problems. I think there's a lot in the trade who would try to skimp to save a few quid. Keep up the good work.
I had a three month old one of these cars, 4x2 with a lot of extra bits and a sun roof, back in 2013, had it for eight years, cracking motor and the spare wheel was exactly the same as the ones on the car, ah those were the days!
You wondered where Forres was, Matt. It's on the North-east coast of Scotland, roughly half way between Aberdeen and Inverness.
I remember Forres !! Was at Kinloss in the 80's....Drinking at the Carisbrooke...
Forres is 26 miles from Inverness and 77 miles from Aberdeen, hardly half- way even roughly!
Lovely place Forres. Camped there with the family in 2003.
Great vlog 🎉😊
Another massively overspent vid! Love it!
and we're back and i've massively overspent
2014 1.7 Kia sportage with 103 k sold for £2500 in the block ! The kx3 2.0 4wd are very popular !
Great video HPA, great car, nice work Matt, keep yer chin up👍😀👌
Wasn't as massive overspend as you thought, £900 you gave yourself in the end :) Excellent work as usual.
Hi Matt well when i saw the frog that does not work and spare dog lead what more could you ask for plus a good spare. Then it went down hill no brakes . Another good video with a good end hopefully car sold.
I like that you put a thorough effort into cars thst are neglected. I hope the next owner continues in the same way. They should
I wish we had diesel options as well as the gas mileage options over here Matt. Thats one of the crazy things I just don’t understand between the US and the UK. You guys get tons of options when purchasing vehicles and astronomical mileage. We have to buy a hybrid to get higher mileage and y’all still beat us hands down!!!!!
Hi Matt, love the European language snippets to cheer us up on a wet day in the Peak District. Good solid and honest car 👍😎
I have a 2013 Sportage 2.0 diesel, it’s done 200,000kms and the only thing that it’s needed is a rubber mount on the rear differential, they’re just very well put together cars
I bought a KX4 new back in 2014. It was a cracking car and never missed a beat. Sold it 4 years later with 3 years warranty still left on it. Dealer snatched it up quick sticks at the time. My only criticism was seats weren’t very comfortable on long journeys.
Theyre a bit short in the leg
Oh I’ve beaten you this time Matt, I just bought a 2011 sportage kx3 160k miles (with heated seats front and back and Panasonic roof with half of it opening) myself for £2200 of some bloke on Facebook marketplace. After buying it I gave it a service and got the brakes all done for £400 but the mechanic said it looked good. So very pleased with it so far. Only other thing is the rear view camera is broken and one of the parking sensors is faulty so it has a continuous beep. But those are 2 things I’ll get round to fixing myself that’ll only be about £50 in parts. You’re not wrong about the wheels though. The ones on mine are a total state 😂 I don’t care too much though
Panasonic roof 😂 I must remember that one.
@@JLAGAN49 😂 oops! Gonna blame autocorrect for that one
Got. A hell of deal there lot of car for £2200.
I live in Tenerife so yes I know the blue sky feeling 😎
"Ah we got heated seats in the back": The thing I really love about the Sportage is that it has rear heated seats.
Big Fan from Switzerland here !
Thanks!
I currently own a Kia Soul 2012. It only has 80000km on it. A wheel was damaged to the point it had to be replaced. 650 pounds to replace, BMW wheels are cheaper. And no centre cap included. Servicing is more expensive than a X3 BMW and it's not great on fuel. My mothers 2021 kia get great fuel economy but her bonnet if it had to be replaced costs more than a 2021 C class, and so does the servicing. So yeah I'm not buying a kia again she loves them but I'm not a fan after owning one for 3 years.
We follow you. Love ya
Hi Mat, loving the content . You forgot to get the parcel shelf ….there goes your profit margin again 😂 .Gaz
Brilliant video again! Please dont ever loose your intro music its great ! Any tips for a good dog carrying car ?
Could turn out expensive if you also have a bad dog
Skoda Superb or an Octavia, I have an Ovtavia for 17 years 5 the first and 12 years the present , I am looking for a Superb dut to needing to carry a wheelchair 2 suitcases and room for my fantastically beautiful Border Collie when we go away to holiday cottages 😅
@@barrieroberts75 appreciated - thanks for taking the time to repky
Great vid on a great car. These really have taken over from Ford as the car of the masses. Well done, Matt good to see what it really costs to get cars fixed these days. Thank you.
That sportage looks factory fresh after the Highpeak autos Treatmen! Great video and work as always Matt! :D
Thanks!
Always liked these in all black, with the open grill, model up from this. 😎🤓
Hi Matt I have got a 14plate Kia ceed 1.6 CRD JD and it is a brilliant car probably shares the same engine or so. I service it every year and had no problems whatsoever. Coming up to 100k. Kia diesel’s are bulletproof
All the AWD ones are 2.0 CRDI
Ive got one of these. A kx3 on a 2013 plate ive owned it about 2 years Theyre reliable but expensive when they go wrong .the clutches are made of tissue paper and cost nearly £1500 when they fail including the flywheel. Best thing to to do with the diamond cut wheels is get them powerdercoated.
My wheels need doing, been quoted £110 per wheel in Norwich so £185 all in is a great price.
I’ve had camera fail on my kx3 so far. How many miles was it until your clutch went? Need the wheels doing also but I’ve been quoted nowhere near £180
@@matthewtooley3771 dont bother getting them diamond cut just get them powdercoated about £60 a wheel
Another great video matt, love these cheap car videos and your humour is great, what kind of dog is kiki ?
SHITZU
Thank goodness the wondergrip van made it
More now catching on to what the Wonder Grip guys have done and now Dents have positioned their vans with the website and phone number showing LOL Love it. Great Video as always - Matt
Looks like new. Brilliant job
I love the follow-up part of these when you say 'do you remember?' - yes we remember, because for us part 1 was 30 seconds ago!! :P
I never put new Tyres onto the rear axle ... Always onto the front steering axle, and front wheels moved to rear axle.
When I worked at a van hire centre we used to fit whatever the cheapest tyre was at the time we could get hold of. I saw all sorts of brands I'd never heard of including Hi Fly and to be fair we never had a problem with them.
Nice one Matt.
another well turned out motor Matt and an entertaining journey as always….. bloody Land Rover eh ! 😂
Thanks
I like Kia’s I have a sportage now but I had a sorrento as a tow car for years I only sold it because I needed an automatic. Dug as I called him was brilliant a proper old diesel, tractor sounding, never missed a beat completely reliable car. I miss him
Can't believe I only found this channel a few months ago... It's brilliant 🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍😎😎😎🙏
Glad you enjoy it!
"New set of platers and a good buff" is surely a given for each car now? Followed by "wheels need a clean up and a proper valet would tidy this up". Those wheels were terrible! Thanks for the video.
The advert for these was good one as well.
We have a 71plate we have had since new and its great . We also still have the car it was got to replace a 10reg 2.0dci Qashqai which we have had since new , it has done just shy of 180 k and i wont lie hasnt aged as well as the Kia . Still goes like stink though, may even give it a road trip next month to Huddersfield
One of the things I like about your videos is that you don't whine about customers knowing their rights or bang on about how customers think dealers just wash a car and stick it on the forecourt etc. Much more positive atmosphere all round 👍
Set reg plates service clean mot detailed valet
When are you taking the Wondergrip van on a roadtrip to France??
Matt you must love your mechanic, keeping him and his family in luxury.
Still waiting for you to do an Optima Matt, preferably the first generation, I think you’d be pleasantly surprised tbh Mines done 275k miles, all on the original stuff, turbo, starter motor, alternator etc etc
Kia is a great brand these days. I own a 2017. Ceed estate and it never failed me. It's still under warranty until october and i'm gonna stick with Kia for the next car and for sure it will be a Sportage. Funny enough the day i bought it i was on my way to look at a Škoda Octavia but made a turn to check out the dealership on my way down. I don't need a super expensive vehicle for my short trips to work and occasional weekend trip or shopping and Kia turned out to be a super decent and reliable vehicle that have me more than enough for the money i paid.
Might want to check that again. Kia & Hyundai has had class action lawsuits globally for the past five years over faulty engine design which leads to catastrophic failures.
@@aabidamn yep, I'll pass. "September 27, 2023 | Washington, DC Hyundai Motor America and Kia America have issued “park outside” recalls for more than 3.3 million vehicles due to the risk of fire."
@@aabidamn mine was made in Slovakia, 1.6 CRDi engine. Zero problems.
@@aabidamn That is for American made vehicles only, Kia is number one in Europe reliability surveys.
@@muffindell American made only...good one 😂
It’s that look Matt, cracks me up every time 😂
Great vid as ever. Are you selling "I've massively overspent" sweatshirts yet?
Forres is in the Highlands , Matt. Local footie team is Forres Mechanics.
New video and new never heard tyre brand. 😂😂 I’m not disappointed. I like this version of Sportage, i think it’s aged a little bit better compared to Hyundai ix35.
A few videos ago we had a close up of your face telling us 22°c on automatic was perfect haha
We had the very same vehicle, a 61 plate fully loaded in black, bought it with 43.000 sold it with 129.000, regular servicing, didn't give us any problems whatsoever in our ownership, and still see it regularly, a lady bought it in the next village to us. Great vehicles in my humble opinion
I agree.
Don't you just hate it when you press a holder in the car and it wont shut, try it five times just to make sure and then put it on the things to do list. Great video.
I have exact same car except kx3. Wheels same issue was quoted £500!
Another one saved Matt, another wonderful car for a potential customer.
Forres is east along the coast on the A96 from Inverness 👍
Tapped on this instantly ❤
Buy a Vauxhall mokka next Matt 👍
Diamond cut alloys look great until you actually drive the car. They often hit the kerb before any part of the tyre and if you frequently parallel park you'd have to be extremely good at it not to damage them (I'm not - my nearside rear wheel always is a little kerbed). My neighbour's son has a Sportage of this era - been really good as far as I know and his dog is very happy with it too.
Forres is in Scotland. Ive had 2 Sportages and my 16 plate was way better than the 19 plate which I really hated for its wayward sloppy steering - bloody dangerous actually. Woefully underpowered when loaded up for a holiday and not very economical, but the build quality was very good. - got rid of for a Toyota.!
ahaha I like your sense of humour so much 😂🥰
If its the latch thats broken on the sunglasses holder in the range rover, JLR used a latch the same as a brabantia bin on the S-Type. If the range rovers the same they are a cuple of quid off Ebay 👍
Northumberland fire brigade run a fleet of kia sportages. Great cars. Kia and Hyundai are great brands if you want a good car, good warranty and are not a badge snob. They are up there with the other brands now ... just a bit better imo.
That Wonder Grip must be a hell of a product. Their van has been stuck there for months!!😁
