  • There is a difference between self-esteem and self-worth...Self Esteem usually has to do with our competence while self-worth comes from secure early attachment from our caregivers - good material but a lot of generalizations about exactly what is happening

    • Not quite accurate... my self-worth has come from knowing who I am as a child of God and why I am here on the planet... my childhood had very little to do with my sense of self-worth becoz I developed an insecure attachment style as a small child and I continued that until I found a secure relationship with Jehovah God. I found my worth in him, not that any non-Christian could ever possibly understand this, becoz the experience of it is the only thing that qualifies the opinion u could have of it...

  • I stopped watching when he started going on about Christianity, the dark ages and original sin. He doesn't know the history of this. Far from being a forced to convince people they are all shameful and accept repressive social structure, Christianity of course first flourished in ancient Rome, amongst the poorest who were inspired by its message of universal dignity, even for the lowest. Christian monks were then the primary force preserving education and civilisation from several hundred years of barbarian onslaught. The Christians didn't bring the dark they kept the candle alight.

  • Sheesh. After the first minute, of 10 repetitions of 'kind of', 'sort of' & 'like', I had to stop. I tried to listen a bit longer, cutting him slack for extreme nervousness & agitation, poor chap ... but the filler repetitions got worse. He can't string a coherent sentence together. He kept insisting on his semi-coherent claims with v little (biased & cherry-picked) supporting 'evidence' / material. He seems to be basing his assertions on himself & generalising wrongly to 'we' (as do many so-called 'psych experts'.) He needs to calm down & learn to focus, concentrate, & open his mind to broader information, different academic opinions, research & conclusions.
