Phoenix is really magnificent! But I hope he will have a larger role & some interacting with characters, not just serving as a hope symbol! Like he could give them fire in winter, burn down shooting arrows, or allow Mulan to pet & hug him in front of an impressed emperor. Phoenix really does make much more sense - cuz he serves as a contrast to evil falcon from the 90s (aka witch in this version). I also hope they will make more toy figures of him, cuz the one they released is green and too expensive.

@@fazriel2316 yes I adore the remake but my doubts about phoenix all came true sadly. They did with her everything I hoped NOT TO. She is beautiful & majestic, but apart from leading Mulan to the camp she didn't help at all. I know theres a deleted drowning scene, but they messed that one too - no one would like to see fire bird flying through water. No matter, whats done is done. I hope in the sequel her role will be much more expanded

I think this film will bomb hard! Even if theaters are open, there may still be strict public distancing rules. There may still be limit showings and people to enter the theater. If Disney want to make money, I think July 24th may not be the best option.
