It was gorgeous I loved it. 10/10 for me. The CGI was really bad tho...
I loved it. 😍 The fighting scenes looked a bit weird but I don't care. Seemed realistic lol I say that but there is a witch that can turn to a hawk. Also had magic they called chi? But it was beautiful. I loved both movies. 😊
The movie is actually awesome but I think the fight scene where she saved the emperor at the end was a bit rushed including how the witch died. Plus I think some of the actors could've played their roles better but that's just my opinion. Overall it's a great movie and I would recommend it to anyone.

I like how her relationship with Honghui starts and how he actually care about her, like telling her to take a bath and approach her to reconcile. He reminds her that they are friends, all people in the barracks are friends. She closed herself to them because she needs to hide her identity but Honghui always try to make her feels like she belongs there with them.

They were taken from the Samkok legend, if I'm not mistaken. The female spy played by Vicky Zhao, while Tony Leung and Takeshi Kaneshiro were the leading actors. In the movie there was a soldier who was kind to Vicky Zhao's character and supported her as he thought her was a fellow soldier. Do you think this Honghui character resembles him?

This folk story dates all the way back to the HAN dynasty, it is rich in history and visually... this movie is stunning. To every woman who has ever had to face overwhelming obstacles to fight to be seen, heard and valued this movie is for you. Mulan's bravery and devotion to her family will inspire you. See it, you wont be disappointed.
I know, while Black Panther broke history as the first massive franchise movie consisting mostly of black cast. Mulan did the same for asian community with full asian cast, just like Crazy Rich Asians.

M Christian yes that’s true, but I feel like Mulan is already so badass since the start of the movie so if they were to shoot a scene where Mulan and hong hui meets again, I wouldn’t feel like “oh she needs a man because she is still a girl” Because we now she does NOT need a man lol obviously. But in one of the scene where hong hui said “I don’t know if girls will like me” Mulan said “they will” (in this scene we can tell Mulan likes hong hui) so I was not hoping she’ll get with a man at the end of the movie I am just hoping she gets to reunite with people she loves, like her family(which they did reunite) and hong hui (someone she likes that just happened to be a man) Sorry lol I just really want to see them together so bad hahahahhaa

Feeling nostalgic. Watched the original 23 years ago as a child, and now I'm in my early thirties. The story will always have a place in my heart. As a Chinese American, it was so fulfilling seeing this as a child. Also, Gong Li!!!

my thought on this, there is no problem with Christina Aguilera singing this song i just feel like they over doing it the style of the song hope make it a bit simple just let her voice flow through as she is, this is why most are craving to Lea Salonga version including me not because she is from Philippines but the simplicity of the song.

i agree and disagree this new one was completely switched on such a disney classic it was missing some of the key elements to what a disney movie is called is disney movie!!! i mean the cinematics where out of this world but that was the only nice thing about it !!!
Ness Ness ok get that but this is was an ACCURATE take on the original ballad of Mulan with a bit of the references from the animated film. It still had its Disney elements... it’s really not that big of a deal. There were MANY nice, let me change that GREAT & BEAUTIFUL things in the movie that some people refuse to see and fail to recognize. Due to the way the story was told... it really didn’t need the songs or Mushu ( even tho some were played in the background ). If Mushu was in it.... it would have took away from the story completely. You can tell there was research put into it. The fighting choreography was BRILLIANT... but there were some things that came off a bit fake that I raised a brow at. It could have been written a bit better due to that some scenes came off too slow. But the cameo with the original voice actress of Mulan and her being in the iconic Mulan dress while walking down the walk way to present the new Mulan to the emperor was everything. Plus the scene where she realizes she can’t fight in this war pretending to be someone else... regardless of the outcome she takes that chance, takes the armor off and reveals HERSELF and helps fight. Of course when she comes back home to ask her father for forgiveness... the love and chemistry between Mulan and her father throughout the whole film was POWERFUL. Last thing, they stayed true with the theme of Reflection... which is also Mulan’s signature song. It was played throughout the movie... all the things that made Mulan who she is, how she felt, what she achieved despite the risk... she proved to everyone that when you have a gift... to NOT change who you are because society tells you so. Just because your different and not like everyone else... doesn’t mean you don’t have a place in this world. Now THATS THE DISNEY ELEMENT!

And even if I’m 90 I will love childish Disney movies and this was a very big disappointment on Disney’s behalf! Mushu is replaced with a Phoenix since dragon is yang/masculine and phoenix is yin which represent femininity. Shang is replaced with Honghui but minus the romance (which is a good thing they want to show women can be independence with/without a man and still feels complete. They make an open ended ending so viewers can make their own ending after whether Mulan will choose Honghui or career or both or anything, your call). Also Cricket is still there fortunately! So i guess all is a good decision.

It seems that no one can appreciate a movie for the new things it brings to the table, it is always they forgot this, or the old version of this song is better. Christina Aguilera’s voice perfectly goes along with the themes of the remake, this gives me chills. Great work Disney!

I really like both version, both has different singing style, this one is more powerful and harder to sing, the original version is calm and peaceful. And why is everyone hating this version? Both of them really nailed it, and don't need to be compared
