Sheep can naturally turn their head to scratch their shoulders and back. This take down technique uses that reach to fold the sheep's body, throwing their balance off and sliding their feet from beneath them. This is a safe way to restrain the animal and maneuver it without injury to sheep or shearer. If the sheep were in pain, it would fight like hell to get away.
God bless you ladies. The Texas heat is unbearable.
I cannot believe how fast you can shear a sheep! Beautiful job!
Sooooo satisfying to watch. I watch for meditation purposes. It’s great ASMR. - Blessings to you. I’m in Dallas. I know this Texas heat is brutal. Thanks for sheering our sheep friends. 🩶🐑🙏🏾
They must feel so much better ❤️🐑 ❤️🐑❤️. You do an amazing job!
Very well behaved animal. As always Katie did a great job.
Nice this breed already has a clean belly for you. Beautiful job on that fleece. Very smooth surface on the sheep when you finished.
Always enjoy watching you do a shearing. Please do take care of yourself during these very hot days. HYDRATE!!! And, take appropriate breaks so that you don't get too hot. 🙂🐑 🦙❤
Yes! And keep proper electrolytes up!
I'm impressed with the way you hold the sheep to keep the skin as tight and smooth as possible, then make really subtle adjustments, for instance ariund that front armpit and leg, as seen in this video. Beautiful sheep, I was surprised to see it didn't have belly wool. As everyone else is saying, stay cool and hydrated. Lovely to watch your kindness and competence.
It's a beautiful thing to watch you shear. 💕
It always amazing to see the animals just bend and twist what ever way makes it go easy. Thank you, pleasure watching.
AWESOME!!! She shows so much compassion for the sheep 🐑🥰🥰🥰
I never get tired of watching your videos!.. Good job!👍
That's a very nicely peeled potato 🥔❤
Great Job. That little sheep was so cooperative in this sweltering heat.
Hope you both are staying hydrated!! It always amazes me how clean the actual sheep is compared to their wool!
Wow that looked to come off so smoothly, a testament to how well you shear the fleece and fabulous camera work. Well done ladies. Love watching you and listening to the shears, you should make an hour long ‘shears’ music vid so it will send me to sleep listening to it 😁 xx 🌻🐝
I always love to see you shearing, you are so efficient !
She cleaned that entire sheep faster than i can buzz my head. Amazing job
Gorgeous! Love watching you shear.
You make it look so satisfying and easy. I bet those sheep are much happier without those wool coats in this heat.
I love how gentle you are with them. That is why they relax so nicely
I love how you can flip the sheep over and still be as gentle as possible while doing it. To watch how from the first touch of the fleece with the the sheers, you make it seem effortless as the fleece melts off like butter. You are a credit to your profession!!! 🐑💪🏼🙌🏼
The sheep in the background in the perfect demonstration that sheep don’t sound like sheep. Sheep sound like humans imitating sheep.
Your skills are a work of art ❤😅 These animals love you! Thanks for all you do.
I love how their voices literally sound like some random dude named Doug is just standing off to the side yelling "Baaah"
This is an awesome ASMR ❤
I’ve been watching as your skills have grown from the first videos - wow! I love your spirit and the care you give to the animals. Thank you for adding the gift of your sweet nature to the world. ❤
I love love love your videos. Just saw the short one you did where you debunked the agitations of cruelty to alpacas . I have not seen any of your videos where any animal has been nicked. You guys are so gentle anyone can see how very much you care about the animals you are shearing
You do such amazing work. I really enjoy watching your videos.
Amazing job 👏🏽 ❤
I love your videos (and you ladies) more and more with each video I see. Great job!! 🐏🐑
That is a truly beautiful job. Sorry about the heat. Stay hydrated.
Amazing! Love to just chill and watch this.
That'd take me 3 days 2 heat strokes but plenty of time to plan my celebration of life cause me wouldn't live 😂 I'm in Oklahoma we had that big storm no electric for 4 days way blessed because some didn't have it for 7 days. I was beat and certainly wasn't moving much, definitely not shearing a sheep muchless all you do ... Ya'll are some TOUGH LADIES !!!! Love your videos long or short. Stay safe and hydrated !!!!!
Madre mía amigas se ponen más rebeldes las ovejas que las alpacas 😢 sois unas crack un abrazo desde España, soy pilar, cuídense mucho bendiciones para todos 😍😍😍
Awesome video. 😊
cut to early wanted to see the shaven sheepy gallop away 😂
Fantastic work! But I can't get over the one sheep in the background that sounds like a man yelling "BAAAAA" in the most bored voice ever 😂
The baa's from the sheep sound so funny! It literally sounds like a random dude behind the camera doing it haha!!
Wonderful!
Why is it so fascinating to watch you do this?
That sheep in the background sounds like some big dude going "baaaahh", pretending to be a sheep 😂
Whenever I watch your shearing, I am Magine how much your box must heart!
"I imagine how much your back must hurt" ? That's my best guess.
@@cgarcia3614 LOL…that’s what happens when you use the speaker v key board. Then, it changes the words after you post!!!
@@thechariotcard Oh yeah, been there haha.
At first I thought you were trying to do sheep chiropractics
I don't want to start a war, but you seem to treat sheep way more kindly than that guy at _Freshly Peeled_ who acts like domination is the name of the game.
he is a fantantic shearer and never seen him be rough with animals. he is a commercial shearer, and right choice is small flock
@@jreedandhismongrolhoardofr3776 True enough, it looks like he's set up to shear large numbers of sheep at a time at commercial farms. OTOH Right Choice posted a video about their daily life on the road, which consisted of starting out early, driving from one shearing appointment to the next all day, and getting back late. Hard work either way.
@@eco2geek. I know all about that life
Oddly, having a strange hankering to be shorn after seeing this masterpiece. It looks relaxing and enjoyable the way you do it. Edit: grammar 🙁
I love your videos! Learned so much about shearing. But how is your back? This job has to be hard on your backs.
Like butter! 🤯
I love it when they have no wool on their belly, crutch and hocks, 75+ a run 😁 looked like they’re combing good too🤙
that impressive I don't see any second cuts.
I’m sorry, but the baaaaaas in the back are so funny to me. I just think, what are they saying. Lol 😂
Peeled it smooth as Nana peeling a grape👍❤️
Looks like you'd done the 'lambing' cut before! Now for the heat relief? 👍💙💖🥰✌
Please I have to know... does it itch growing back? 🤔
................................................SIIMPLY THE BEST---BETTER THAN ALL THE REST......................................
It sounds like theres a guy just off camera saying, Ehhh ehhh ehhh urrrp 😄
Is the American Black Faced Sheep bred from a mix of Suffolk and Hampshire?
I do not know how you do it! I over heat walking to my car in the driveway.🥵😂
♥️
❤❤❤
Ssshhh… *gently manhandles*
Heyyy, I wanted to know if You or Your Wife have participated in any "shearing contest?"
*wife
Corrected, thanks.
What’s the easiest animal breed for you to shear and the hardest?
Lol the bahhh in the background just sounds like some dude
It sounds like some guy is just lazily saying "beeeh" in the background. Not a sheep, a human 😂
Wow why are you handling the sheep like that in the beginning? Its scary!!!
The baa sounds like a middle-aged man complaining about how he doesn’t have any clean socks and the game got rained out. Annoyed but slightly resigned and bored. 😂
That sheep looked dead
Like buttah
You were harsh on turning his neck. Don,t u know they have a pain too.
Teniais que poneros guantes no ?😱
I couldn't do this job because I'm to much of a perfectionist I wouldn't be able to leave the ridges you do 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can you please be careful, like wtf you almost broke the sheep’s neck.
No she didn't, the sheep was comfortable in the maneuver, if it wasn't then it would have struggled a lot and atleast bleated. She is a professional with years of experience.
The sheep was fine, she knows what she’s doing.
It does look rough if you're not familiar with how sheep move, but their necks are super flexible and they're more stubborn than people think. But she's definitely not doing anything that would harm the sheep
