TEST NOTES:
- The standard drops (back, corner, and face) are conducted from 1m onto a concrete block.

  • The one test that you didn't do is a drop where the impact is on the curve on the sides where it's nearly impossible to offer protection even with a case. The edge of the screen and the edge of the case leaves a pronounced unprotected surface that is highly susceptible to damage even with their Samsung cases. My Note 9 dropped from hand onto my bed and then flipped onto my nightstand. It only cracked on the exposed lip at the corner. From what i could tell, there isn't a case made to provide the necessary protection. I am all in with the Samsung eco system, but not offering a premium phone with a flat screen really is a big miss. My Note 3 sits in a desk absolutely flawless. You didn't even need a screen protector because of the raised lips on the Otterbox case. This is a design flaw that Samsung has just doubled down on. In a perfect world, I would love to have an Iphone Max Pro running Android. P.S. Insurance is not the answer for their design flaws

What is developement of gorilla glass 3 to 7, neither withstands drop or results are closely similar. Your way of testing drop resistance is one of best due it has similar properties for every dropped phone. It is interesting to see if any glass gets any improvement in drop resistance and secondly if someone just drops a phone somewhere it is not comparable results due situations vary.

This is the issue I have with a lot of the drop tests you need at least 12 of the same phone to do front back and side ( first time drop variations) to get a good idea of what to expect. I seen another drop test where someone dropped their ultra at almost 4 feet on the back and it shattered the back and the cameras were done completely unusable. That being said this didn't tell me enough.
