It's obvious that KZhead don't have a clue, if they took their time to watch 'any' of your videos they would find that you give thought to all wildlife good and bad plus all safety procedures. Magpies are one of the few birds who's population has expanded. . .they have no natural predators and account for the deaths of a lot of finches and other small birds that have declined in numbers.

I love how you have evolved on KZhead, I remember when you were almost as elusive as the prey you hunt, now though you look so much more confident in front of the camera, top bloke.

Can't deny I held off watching this vid until this evening so I could beat the 'back to work blues' and mate...what a vid!!!...it ticks every box.....and, I've watched it 3 times back to back and now grinning like a Cheshire cat (I didn't mean for that to rhyme....honest) All this rain we're having and I bet we still have a hosepipe ban this year! Simon, I could not more agree with the comments below, you control pest in a ethical way and tell the viewers up in front what they can expect, I see a lot of US shooters who lack any ethics, I responded manny times to them in ways that they dont regard safe distances and can't pull off a decent shot, with that I mean for instance firing 7 x on a coyote before it is killed. And they tell me I am hearing echo's of shots...while firing with two guns.... Honest, keep doin what you are doin, you are an exaple for all pest controllers, one shot, one kill 💪🏻

Great ethical shooting Simon, great to see you doing it exactly how it should be done buddy. I no longer have an air rifle either sub 12 or FAC, I may have to invest sometime soon.

Perhaps the YT dunderheads considered you demonstrating the power adjustment on your FX King to be a "firearm modification" -- despite the fact that the FX King is not a firearm, and using the integral power adjustment system supplied by FX is not a modification. That's the only thing I can imagine. Setting that unpleasantness aside, great video as always. Give Jack some ear scritches for me!

Hello Simon, I just recently bought a CZ 457 Varmint in 22 lr. to start practicing longer range shooting. At some point soon I'll get an exchange barrel in 17 hmr to reach out a bit further. At the moment I am wondering what scope to get and wether you could recommend a decent scope which is worth the money. Currently considering options from Meopta, Athlon or DDoptics. I'd value your opinion on the matter and any recommendations you might have. Cheers Simon
