Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris met for the first and only vice presidential debate of the 2020 campaign in Salt Lake City, Utah, with sharp exchanges over the coronavirus pandemic, the economy, the Supreme Court and more.
Harris and Pence traded accusations over the federal response to the pandemic that has claimed the lives of more than 210,000 Americans, with Harris harshly criticizing the administration's record. President Trump tested positive for the coronavirus just six days ago.
"The American people have witnessed what is the greatest failure of any presidential administration in the history of our country," Harris said, with Pence sitting 12 feet away from her, separated by two panes of plexiglass as protection against the virus.
Pence, who again tested negative for the coronavirus earlier in the day, defended the administration's response and said the president's moves in the early days of the pandemic saved lives.
USA Today's Susan Page moderated the vice presidential debate. The next debate between Mr. Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15 in Miami and will be moderated by C-SPAN's Steve Scully.

Never been crazy about Pence but he was very professional, cordial, and he said a lot of factual things (good use of timeline and facts). He corrected her a lot, and you could tell in some instances she felt cornered and seemed uncomfortable.I like Pence speaks on achievements as opposed to Harris who like everyone else, does nothing but bash Trump. I was pretty impressed with Pence handling Harris in a professional manner. She was very obnoxious and annoying to watch quite honestly. She seemed to say what she thought people wanted to hear, but came across as untrustworthy. I don't think they made the right choice with her.

It is because large numbers of middle class and low income spent money locally across the country. Where did they get this additional money? Teachers across the country received raises because they went on strike and won. Fast food workers, child care workers, airport workers and others pushed the politicians into raising minimum wage to $15 an hour in many municipalities. (Fight for $15). Reform, defund or abolish the police? Has an American city successfully defunded the police? You try that in a court of law someone has committed a heinous crime by murdering someone and that person says to the judge but I'm a good person I do such and such and the judge will say as you should but you will pay the price for your crime. How much more is God a just judge he will not go against his word and his word will never return void. And I'm going to tell you like I tell everybody don't go by what I say go to the source the true God. You either trust the true God or you don't. I pray that you think about how you have fallen short of the glory of God through the sins that you have committed that have separated you from God he doesn't want any of us to perish but he also commands repentance through Jesus Christ. Absolutely nothing, if anything they would have let people in from China months after we stopped. Sure, the US is not doing great handling Covid, but a lot of that has to do with general incompetence at the state level. If Trump deserves the blame for anything, it was for not condemning and calling out the governors who refused to do their job during the height of the pandemic back in April and May. You had some southern states who refused to close anything for months and some northern ones like NY that didn't adequately maintain a PPE stockpile like the were supposed to and for some dumb reason put Covid positive patients back into nursing homes before they fully recovered.

How would I rate the debate.? In a Football game the game is important and the time is not. Each team has three timeouts with this the 10 minutes the game can could drag out to be 30 minutes longer, and if that isn't enough there's always overtime. At a debate the time is important and the verbal content is not because it's being cut off. They make a time limit that is difficult the answer it within the allotted time, causing, stress and frustration to the person who is called a guest.reminds me of a tv game show. If you had something really important or were attacked how would you feel when you been told you ran out of time. And they were made looking like a fool and you do't have time to defend yourself and they are hounding you that your time is up. This way the press is guaranteed to make their guest look foolish, and to remind them that the Press is aways in controll of them.
