We are Amanda and Lincoln. With our two daughters and pets in tow, we moved across the world from our home in San Francisco California to buy and restore a petite chateau on 40 acres in the beautiful French countryside of Brittany.
Our channel documents our triumphs and failures in restoring the 19th-century Chateau de Lingourdy. We plan to return the gardens, cottages and barns to their former glory (on a tight budget) and open them up for events and luxurious stays to the public. So if you're interested in observing daily life through the eyes of an American family whose French language skills are quite lacking and who have amassed a menagerie that includes cats, dogs, and donkeys. When I was a licensed Feral Trapper, I always covered the trap up. It made them more secure , he may turn out to warm up to you. They really are fine. You are doing the right thing. You are saving many little lives. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

We trapped one feral cat who was heavily pregnant, rehomed the four kittens and had mother cat spayed. She's warming to us and now meows for food every morning, I get to cuddle her (as I am the bringer of said food lol) for a minute before she darts off for the forest once more. All of our animals are or were strays and it is truly one of the most rewarding experiences for our family. All the best.

On another topic - We see that Lincoln has his fair share of man toys, this is important for running a 40 acre property, so he was looking at a new Kubota tractor, is that still on the cards? Remember that with fame comes fortune 🤑 and that means up grades and things getting fixed, just look at Escape to the Chateau with Dick and Angel Strawbridges I would image the television series over 9 years enable them to get a lot more work done for less expenditure- Good luck and thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey with the beautiful Chateau 👍🇫🇷😇

15 feral cat rescue under my belt . Extremely sneezey allergy keeps me catless But after watching a cat walking with hotdogs Or scraps of food ...I followed . A momma and her 5 baby's hidden underground At a local store near where I worked . I was hooked ,feeding twice a day ... To stop her from running in traffic Then momma was pregnant again and the baby's Were still just kitten's . The feral cat foundation found me and offered Cages and 1/2 price fee's ,so one by one momma And kittens were set free back to the only life they Have ever lived ...they are truly wild cats . Vet clipped one tip of the ear ,so if caught in the future They would again be released . My heart is with them,as time has passed And moving has me far away . A beautiful memory to visit on a rainy day . Momma was wild but she was loved . I never touched her but she touched me . Loved the channel and the content No surprise that TV found you . The world could slow down and enjoy the view Of wide open space's as we create a quantum shift And jump dimensional frequencies ...🍸🍸 Cheer's

I truly admire your dedication to caring for the animals on your property. I truly believe we all need a mission that provides caring to others or to living creatures. It makes the world a much better place. 🥰 There was a chateau channel warning about people coming off the street to stay at chateaus - the intention of these people is to become a squatter. So all chateau owners need to beware. Good thing you do not do B&B.

I've socialised many feral cats. They can come around. It can take months but once they have trust in humans they can be adopted into loving, warm homes. I've had one that in the end was still timid but even she got a wonderfully patient family. keep up the great work.

Kudos to you guys for trapping a cat.I adopted my own sweet boy from a trap and neuter program. I will always adopt from a rescue for all my future pets!

In sweden we finally have a law that says you have to register on line and either tatto or put a chip on the cat. Those rules just applied to dogowners before. There is not a lot of feral or stray cats here but this rule is accually very good for the animals.

We trapped a feral street girl, her white babies were everywhere at night. When the rangers came to collect her we advised gauntlets at 100 paces, after their 1st try, and an ambulance to administer First Aid, we had no more problems. 😊
Yes Bob Barker was right and you are too. So sad so many unwanted unloved cats when a bit of surgery takes care of that. I think after time Buttercup will become a pet too.. They keep the mice and rats away

2:00 Just a thought. At my local supermarkets they sell a milk that has been processed to be digestible for cats. My cat adores it and considers it a huge treat. A couple of tablespoons of that might be enough to entice a cat into the trap, without giving them as much volume of food as the wet food you used. I hugely appreciate the gentleness with which you treat the animals!

Thanks for the education on the cats. I have a new cat showing up at 3am every morning. I have a closed in porch with cat door where I feed feral cats my mother started feeding before she died. This new cat shows up every morning to finish off what food was left. I now notice if there is no food he will wait til he sees me in the morning to see if I will give him food. So I buy one more can of cat food for him now! I cannot let an animal starve! This is a beautiful long haired multi color cat. I took a photo and put an ad in the lost animal section of our local neighborhood publication but got no response. Since you say feral cats show up at weird hours at night and am now I know he/she is probably feral!

I adopted 2 ferrel 🐈 🐈⬛️ , bc I knew they would be hard to adopt 😔. I've never taken on the task of de-fererrlizing ( if that's a word 😅) cats. If was very very hard to gain their trust and cuddles. They didn't like being picked up or petted. Within 6 months I have 2 very lovable 😸 kitties ! It is possible. Never give up on the stray cats you see and want to help get off the streets it's possible just takes alot of patience and love ❤️ 😍

Thank you for getting sweet Buttery Buttercup to the vets, poor thing.❤ We had a feral kitten from our local SPCA. Ginger was her name, I called her Gingersnaps. Unfortunately the coyotes got to her. I like to think she escaped and she keeping an old lady happy. She was very loving. Did I ever tell you how much I hate coyotes?

I have seen feral cats and they normally hiss if you are that close. I feed one that will come close but never allow me to touch him, even after a year. He got hit by a car and recovered in my flower border under my bedroom window. He never meows either but I am really surprised that cat didn't hiss, that is unusual for feral. Maybe, he might be open to negotiation over time, I find talking a lot to the one I now refer to as 'the sociopath at the window' helps, he closes his eyes and sleeps where I am gardening. Food is what brings him near. I would add, before he was hit, he used to come in and out of the garden and if I even opened a door to outside he would bolt, so him actually following me around is not how he was before the accident.
So impressed with your variety of life and your energy levels! I can barely get the energy to get the lawn mower out and pull a few weeds out in addition to regular feeding of our pets in one day 😂, let alone catch feral cats. Brittany is lucky to have you guys.
