Savchenko and Massot 2018 will probably stay with me my whole life. And all the emotions through them after they finished the routine!!!
Savchenko and Massot really beyond compare for the speed, heights, distance and sheer thrill.
Theirs was simply AWESOME!
Savchenko and Massot were by far the best, so dynamic, stunning and enthralling from start to finish! The fact they have 35 million of their performance speaks volumes.
i don’t think any pair will be able to recreate the magical moment Savchenko and Massot made in the Pyeongchang free skate, for a while…

Berezhnaya and Sikaruludze's short program is still one of the most beautiful pieces of figureskating across all disciplines to me.
To me, Berezhnaya and Sikharulidze were the almost perfect successors to the extraordinarily beautiful pair team of Gordeeva and Grinkov. Thanks so much for posting this video!

And people still think the Salt Lake city Olympics was a scandal. I saw the programs of both pairs and B/S were stellar despite the mistake. Pairs and skaters nowadays make mistakes and it means nothing, they can still win because of pcs and other elements, but the other pair had to complain with a dull recycled program.

@@lukashanko90 Russian elegance and artistry incomparable! Chinese pair skater only won only one OG gold but Russians are on the podium year after year.
I only get the “breathtaking magic” vibe from Berezhnaya & Sikharulidze, after so many years it does not look outdated or simple, and maybe from Savchenko & Massot’s free skate which I think will stay as a bar for another decade

Shen and Zhao’s short program is the perfect modern program. Speed, passion, power, and elegance. They elevated the standards on what throws and twists should be. The footwork sequence was a thing of beauty too.
The Chinese pair, Shen and Xiao, showed real joy with tough elements in their skating. As they were on the Olympic podium 3 times (including China's first ever Olympic gold medal in figure skating), I think they deserved to present the torch in the Beijing opening ceremonies. That's my thought!
Короткая программа Бережной и Сихарулидзе-это лучшее, что есть на данный момент в фигурном катании. Это просто шедевр на все времена. А произвольная программа Савченко и Массо - это очень здорово и сильно и это о преодолении. Браво!
Totmiamina and Marinin were the perfection in terms of the cleanness of skating and the ease. Their Romeo and Juliet is perfect, they remind me of swans. I cannot forget the incident with the injury during one of their skates. To come back after this and skate this well is a lot of psychological strength

Totmianina and Marinin are out of this world.They always show so much emotions. Volosozhar and Trankov are such a powerhouse. Alyona is simply legend. In generall all olympic programs are so memorable.

Came here after watching Sui and Han win the gold at Beijing 2022. I'm so happy that they finally got the Olympic gold after coming so close in Pyeongchang. They're finally on this list of champions!

Tatiana Volosojar and Maxim Trankov are superior to all of them and to this day there is no a pair better. He throws her to another universe, the lifts, the speed, the chemistry. The fact that they are married with two children now makes it a fairy tale story.

Мой любимейший вид спорта! Прекрасные пары! Эмоции зашкаливают, вспомнила все эти олимпийские старты! Программа Алёны и Бруно - на разрыв аорты, браво! На последних секундах катания уже было ясно, что они олимпийские чемпионы. Савченко было уже за 30, на своей последней Олимпиаде она стала все таки чемпионкой!

Volosozhar/Trankov’s routine was taken from the Team Event. In the individuals they skated a world record short program. Why not have taken that one?

Watching the Salt Lake city performances side by side, honestly, the Canadians do not hold a candle to the Russians even with that mistake. Such a dodgy story, with the French judge coming up with a completely different story years later.
The Canadians made a grave mistake in the end of their short.
I don’t know much about the technical part, but the LP of the Canadian pair made me cry for real. Honestly, these are all very beautiful, but don’t really touch my soul. But that one did, in a very deep way; it was like watching a movie. I also like the German pair LP, very expressive!

На этом видео все Олимпийские чемпионы с 2002-2018г. А канадцы тоже Олимпийские чемпионы.
Там был скандал и выдали 2 комплекта золотых медалей

i think pairs is the most exciting.
It’s interesting how strongly people feel about 2002 pairs even 20 years later., maybe it’s because I was barely alive at the time but I think it’s very special that there were 2 champions despite the controversy, they were both impeccable and emphasized different aspects of pairs skating
No one. And I mean this with all due respect, no one will ever match Aljona and Bruno’s free skate. They hold the world record for highest score ever in pair skating (even with the new/updated scoring system) and nothing can ever top that flawless performance their FS. Absolutely no one.

I so enjoy figure skating and especially the Russians! I am sad that the system that they work under is riddled with industrialized doping. They are so talented and should not be marred by this scandal of the ROC. Some believe all are doped. It is so unfortunate that the few make the many seem like cheaters.

Savchenko and Massot in the free provided the best Olympic performance ever. Berezhnaya and Sikharulidze were the most wonderful to watch, and Volosozhar and Trankov were so overscored in the free that it was unbearable to watch (awful program and one of the greatest injustice in modern day FS pair competitions -- Stolbova and Klimov were robbed!). Shen and Zhao were adorable too!

Лучше Тани Волосожар нет партнерши. Савченко, конечно, боец, но мастерство не спрячешь. Она и Транькова вытащила за собой, раскрыла его. Да и в свете последних событий нужно отметить, что Таня - украинка. Украинка, которая принесла нам победы.
А по мне Савченко круче.
