  • Make sure to turn on Captions for the 10 hour song playthrough! What did you guys think of the story?

    @WeAreOnePiano@WeAreOnePiano3 жыл бұрын
    • Seeing that nobody replied yet, I will take the honor of being your first reply! So when beginning to look at the story, I remembered hearing a similar story to the one in the captions: It was about a boy who struggled to understand himself. He couldn't know what he likes, what he dislikes, or what he even is. However, all he knew is that he didn't want anyone to know how confusing he is, so he acts like the class clown. He managed to convince everyone that he was a happy, and humorous guy who makes everyone have a happy time. However, his happiness ended when a new transfer student arrived. That student saw through his disguise, and fear corrupted the class clown. He didn't want everyone to know how different he actually is. He tried to make the transfer student think otherwise. He continued acting happy and being the class clown, however, nothing seemed to work. The transfer student was basically the one who took away his happiness, while the boy still remained hopeful in persuading him of his fake identity; being obsessed.

Where a father disowns his only son and the son falls into a deep depression... then once a glimpse of hope arrives he reaches almost this suspense where this will make or break him, then eventually that glimpse of hope fade and he almost is in this lost purgatory until he finally ends it and dies from lack of happiness or hope

  • I've only been able to listen to "Imprisoned Soul" all the way through once. ='( It's a great piece, but I can't stand the feelings. (My deepest respect goes to Julie Marie who experienced it and freed herself). "Total Isolation" still leaves me with an oppressive feeling. I am sure there are many people currently who know this emotion. This shows once again how well you can capture emotions.Many of us were worried about you. I would call the 10-minute piece ( 3:33 ) "Enter the Haunted House".

  • How is no one in the comments talking about the accidentally brutal but true words he gave about being in and leaving an abusive relationship? "You didn't win. You just didn't lose." It's such a simple thing he throws out while considering how to write, but the truth stands so well. An abusive relationship is a nightmare, and just because you're free from it, doesn't mean your free from its effects. You survived your own personal piece of hell to continue living... but that doesn't mean you won. It's brilliant in its accidental simplicity and so extremely accurate.

  • Hi Lionel. Just want to say that your music is really moving. I have been playing piano for 12 years and recently I have not been as into it as I once was, but watching your videos has made me get into playing the piano seriously again and I am enjoying myself. I do have a question, how long does it take you to perfect these songs that you play in these videos because they are so incredibly written? Thank you for putting your music on this platform.

  • 10 minutes dark song: You are walking through a forest in the dead of night, the moon just shy of dissappearing behind the clouds, barely seeing in front of your nose but the shadows cast by the ancient trees that watch over you like silent giants, yet they do not offer you any comfort under the cold breeze. your feet hesitate and shake at every step as your breath fogs your glasses, griping tightly your backpack as you hear the sounds of the forest. You are so close to escaping. Just keep going, you're gonna make it! Your jaw hurts by how hard you are clenching your teeth, but you ignore it. You're so close. The light will appear soon, the other end of the forest will appear and I shall be free! You said to yourself as you don't notice the glowing eyes watching you from the dark...

  • Marsy's Tips for getting into the mood on a budget, if you don't have a way to just dim the lights, you can turn the lights off and light a candle or two. Gives an effect of being mostly in darkness, and you get the bonus of a little bit of inconsistent lighting from the candle's flickering and some pretty unsettling shadows around the room.

  • The last song, Imprisoned Soul, is so sad. I don't easily cry, but I couldn't help it. It was so sad. I can't imagine how much pain Julie went through. I feel so bad for her. The man who abused her deserved that. He deserved worse. It does sound harsh when I type that, but if you think about what he did, it was horrible, and just imagine how much pain she had to deal with. If you turn on captions you can hear her story. It's truly horrible.

  • Until halfway through it all sounds more calm than sad. Like sitting in your room with your eyes closed, waiting for the mail or the boiler to finish your breakfast consisting of a cup of coffee with oatmeal poured inside because you ran out of milk the other day and don't want to go shopping again this week. I sometimes set up my old keyboard and start playing some augmented chords and simple harmonies. I can't play very well and i can't play fast, but it works for me as far as darkness goes. I get that a lot of these techniques you were using are somewhat popular in genres considered "dark", but the timbre is the key; A piano ist just too warm so sound even remotely non-boring in these repetitve pieces. Darkness is timbre and absence of living melodies.

  • total isolation gives me suuuuch specific vibes tbh, it sounds really good! it's a nice night out with friends. joking, laughing, having some fun. one of them starts talking about the 'creepy' cave up ahead, and you, still on a high, decide to go with them. when you approach it... it seems normal, but off, somehow. weird vibes, or maybe just cowardice? and then you hear it. behind you. you run far into the cave, splitting off from your friends in the process, panicked, startled, and having a feeling that you were right. looking behind, you expect to see your friends, but you don't. you couldn't have ran that far, right? you can't hear the either, so you start calling out. maybe if you walk back the way you came, there might be the exit? it's worth a shot, anyways. minutes turn to hours, hours turn to days, and soon enough you realise. you've doomed yourself. you were the one who ran in. who split off from the group. who made it so far that there wasn't even a hope of getting back. you brought this upon yourself. as the years pass by, never aging, never dying, you start to come to terms with your new life. it's cold, damp, and lonely, with not even the eventuality of death to soothe you. you're isolated now. any hummanity you one had is gone. how long has it been since you've seen someone else, you wonder aloud, wandering the twisting corners of your prison. everything looks the same, so for all you know you've been wandering in circles. day after day. week after week. month after month. year after year. slowly going *mad.*
