Amazing animation! but I do wonder the plot of this, solidly basing off the one minute and 17 seconds I've seen, I'm assuming that there was a mother who had a blind daughter and the mother most likely was turned Into a human-creature of sorts. So when the mother Is approaching her (most likely with former malicious intent), her cat starts hissing as her daughter gets scared and Is confused since she can't tell who's there (Because she's blind) so when the mother recognizes her daughter, she most likely goes into a shock of sorts(?) and leaves her daughter alone, causing her daughter to be at peace once more. We can assume something has In fact happen to the mother due to the picture we see on the nightstand of her holding her daughter as a baby. And I'm unsure If this is correct, but I think by the ending that the mother is watching over her daughter from the window as she sleeps (thus the weird shadow from the window), I can't tell for sure If thats it or not but If It was It would be super cool because It gives such an eerie atmosphere and a weird melancholy feeling of motherly affection (that might be still there despite the mother not being her former self anymore), Either way It's exciting to have watched this, It feels like there was a lot of effort with even the small details of It. The daughter having cat-themes all around Is just super cute as well. Also additional: The "Forever here" on the nightstand picture could also Indicate the mother being a spirit of sorts who's watching over her daughter even In death, thus the cat symbolism as well.
Wow, thank you very much for that analysis! I didn't expect it haha and yes, you got the plot right. They're mother and daughter, the mother was unfortunately turned into a monster by a curse that the ex-husband wanted to put on both of them, but she always protected her girl, so the curse only left the girl blind and the mother in a creature. Years go by, the girl still lives in the same cabin and the cat, as you said, is part of the mother haha. The mother found him lost one day and guided him to the girl's cabin to keep her company. The girl felt a lot of affection for him and now she also loves cats. Very good analysis, really, I'm very glad that you paid attention to the little things! i think she Is the mother for the black collar she have, for the bandage she probably had an accident and eventually dies naturally or killed by someone/something, or I'm just too analític to lol
Haha that's okay! I really like the analisys. And yes! Both share a hearth collar. Unfortunately the monster/mother is still alive but with injuries, someone (on the lore) tried to help her with that
...I didn't see the cat returning with her.
I think something was standing in her window.
It's okay! The cat is still there. In the storyboard it was on top of the girl when they were sleeping, but because I had to animate the bed and the girl's breathing, I preferred to remove it

Oh no! The mother is still alive, but she was cursed and transformed to a monster
Did the monster spared her cause she was blind, or was it frightened by the cat who tried protecting her. Overall its a very good animation, and the design of the creature is very good.

Sure! It is about a blind girl who meets again with a monster who is her mother, the monster recognizes her and walks away. The girl returns home while her mother begins to take care of her. Basically it's something like this, the mother is a monster because of a curse

And I was thinking that maybe its a routine with familiarity behind it before she lost her mom, its like she wants to keep doing it even if she does need to and especially with what you had just said originally just to let other people know but now only for familiarity and memories passing by briefly each night. Which as well if ever you were to do an extension of this you could use that to her disadvantage and even to strengthen a bit her grief and longing, have her hesitate only for a moment to put the candle out when danger may be rearing its head to see with what light is available but only to find another blackened vale inside these windows.
