This episode of Ultimate Drag Race Replay is brought to you by WeatherTech: www.weathertech.com/?...

    • Yeah, it's crazy how good that 392 is. The AMG is over $400k, I would expect it to do what it did. It's not a Rock Crawler. The Jeep is the ONLY rock crawler in this group. Bronco tries, but it's independent front suspension is it's weak point in that arena. The Bronco however will most certainly be better at high-speed desert racing. Honestly the AMG and Rover aren't in the same class, they're luxury SUVs that might see a little mud and dirt, though most never will. Peep the street tires for evidence. The Jeep and Bronco are purpose built machines, a middle finger to automotive convention.

    • @@morgancook6481 I’m not very informed on the new defender, but any Range Rover and majority of Land Rovers with upgraded tires will outperform a lot of its competitors (minus rock climbing) but the wrangler is the only one with a front live axle. Also, I’m typing this sitting in my wrangler lol. Now the G-Wagon is a whole different beast that unfortunately never goes into beast mode off-roading lol. I’m not even going to say anything just go and look at whistlinDiesel KZhead page with the G63 RIPPING through the sand dunes at speeds you’ll only see from FULLY BUILT dune buggy’s. In my honest opinion G-Wagon is the most over engineered underrated off-reader. everyone in whitlindiesel comment section was absolutely DUMBFOUNDED at how theG63 comes out the factory so capable.

  • So the euro suv's had street tires and had half as much ground clearance and the Wrangler still kept up. You could then take that Wrangler in its stock form and take on much more serious offroad trails than what the euro vehicles could do with how they are outfitted stock. The Defender is always classy in looks, but the Wrangler would still be "my" all around choice.

    • I was thinking the same thing. They took 2 luxury suvs vs 2 offroad suvs. Was a no brainer on what would win, yet the Rubicon did quite well considering. The trackhawk would be a different story it fits into the same suv category as the G wagon and the Range Rover.

      @1logmeeks@1logmeeks Жыл бұрын
    • @@1logmeeks the g wagon and the defender are also both capable off road cars, just with the added luxury, that's why they were in this video. While the trackhawk might match the speed of the European cars, it can't match the off-road capabilities.

      @kingsgarage938@kingsgarage938 Жыл бұрын
    • @@kingsgarage938 Yes both of them can be capable off road, but they weren't the off road variants they were the luxury variants. The Grand Cherokee in its off road variant is also capable off road with the correct variant. The G wagon and the Range Rover they showed were both of the variant equivalent to a Trackhawk. All I was trying to say was they took two suvs that were specifically designed for off roading(Sand - Raptor, Rocks - Rubicon), then touted that the ones not in 35" offroad tires, lockers, removable tops, off road suspension, lower gear ratio, the list goes on; were way faster. Just not a surprising outcome, to an unmatched race. But many people don't know enough about cars other than to watch some cool cars race down a track and jump on the band wagon of which one is faster.
