i get around my area by bus because it is the most cost effective way of transport in my place not only that driving a bike or car can be extremely dangerous as our area if notorious for accidents daily so i don t take any risk thanks teachers
hi thanks for your good teaching . I know it is better to use public transport but unfortunately our house is far from stations . so I almost should use my own car. although public transportation like subway or BRT are too crowded and people are nervous in so I prefer not to use them .also I might get stuck in rush hours in traffic . so i always try to change my get around time .i bought second hand car but it doesn't work a lot it has broken down just one time since i have got it.in far distance travel i would rather fly not only do i believe that it is fast but also i enjoy flying. one of my childhood dreams was have a personal plane.:-)))))))

I live in a small city in Vietnam where there are a lot of public transport such as motorbikes, cars, buses,... They help people save time in commuting over long distances and help people be more active in daily life. But they cause many disadvantages such as global warming, environmental pollution and traffic congestion, etc. Therefore, we need to know how to use them properly.
it's great to run into a vietnamese here, i'm myself vietnamese as well, i've just read your comment, your english is flawless i have to say. i'm affraid however you got confused, motorbikes and cars are private vehicles. dont try to correct or anything, just try to make acquaince. lovely meeting you. have a great day.

I usually get around our city with my husband and child in our car. When I go somewhere alone I use public transport because I don't have a driving licence. However the system of public transport is not very convenient in our city. It is easy to get to the city centre but you have to wait for an hour for a bus which goes to certain districts. In addition, buses run from the city centre to the place where I live until 10 pm. Before we bought a car we used to take a taxi when we were returning from the theatre. Also there are a lot of traffic jams in our city which can be avoided by taking a different road by car. So I'm going ta study at a driving school and pass my driving test. There are a lot of places where I walk, for example, à supermarket, parks and the seaside. And the school where I work is very close so I can walk in twenty minutes.
In Vietnam, there are many popular means of transport such as electric bicycles, taxis, buses, motorbikes. But I often use a motorbike because it's convenient, less damaged, and easy to use. Although it is not eco-friendly, it is very convenient
The video sound is pretty good, beyond my imagination
Thank you very much.
Great lesson. both American English and British in the same video.

Thanks for watching, Hassan. You used some good vocabulary. Here are some tips: 1) '...tall so I need my seat...' not, '...tall so, I need my seat...' 2) 'When traveling I'm fond of...' not, 'By traveling I fond of...' 3) '...stand layovers,' not, 'layover.' Hope this helps you!

Hi! I live in the capital city of Thailand, Bangkok. I mostly either takes a bus or a skytrain to get around my places. In weekdays, I normally use the bus and change to the skytrain for avoiding traffic jam.
Nice, Thanawan! Here are a few suggestions for you: 1) 'On weekdays...' not, 'In'. 2) '...to avoid traffic jams,' not, '...for avoiding traffic jam'. Hope this is useful for you!
Hi, I live in Ho Chi Minh city - the biggest city of Viet Nam. I mostly ride the motorbike. Sometimes I either take a bus or taxi. Riding motorbike has lots of advantages: it's the fastest way to get my destination, and I don't worry too much about parking. But there are also some disadvantages like: there is a lot of noise when I ride and I can get stuck in traffic when having heavy rain.
Hi Tâm, thanks for watching and sharing your response. Here are some corrections for you: 1) 'I mostly ride a motorbike,' or, 'my motorbike,' not, 'the motorbike'. 2) 'Riding a motorbike has lots of...' not, 'Riding motorbike has lots of...'. 3) '...stuck in traffic when there is heavy rain,' not, 'when having'. Hope this helps you!

PHẠM THỊ NHUNG The most common means of transport where I live are motorbikes. It has a great disadvantage to the air that when moving will release harmful fumes. Besides, it also has many benefits such as convenient and comfortable movement.
Thank you very much for helping

I mostly use public transport to get around, especially taking underground railway. It takes me around one hour to get to work. If I go to somewhere near my home, I prefer walking to cycling. It is not common for people to cycle around the city which I live in. I have learned so much from your classes. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing, Ting! You wrote a fantastic response. Here is one tip for you: 1) '...especially the underground railway,' not, 'especially taking'. Hope that helps you!
Thanks for your help..

Hello you lesson best speaking thak you
I usually go around my hometown by motorbike. The place where I live has advantages such as convenient roads for many means of transportation, easy and large roads, but there is a disadvantage that many vehicles move up or cause traffic jams and environmental pollution.
Good explaination !
I usually use public transport so I will get the tram or sometimes buses. I really like the public transport in my area b/c it's easily to get for work or Sch. I have a bicycle & I enjoy ridding my bicycle. Sometimes I use to go gym or to college. Where I study is not that far away. My bike helps me keep my body fit. For long distance I use a train or an airplane. I also take the bus to go church but most of the time is the buses came late at the weekend. Therefore, having ur own car is more better inorder to save ur time & reach ur destination on time. Thanks alot in advance! I enjoyed Ur lecture! Your lessons are considerable & useful as usual. let me know if my writing has any mistakes. Best wishes, Fache!
Hi Fache, thanks for watching the lesson and sharing an answer! Here are a few suggestions for you: 1) '...it's easy to...' not, 'easily'. 2) '...get to work or school' not, '...get for work or Sch...'. 3) 'Sometimes I go to the gym...' not, 'Sometimes I use to go gym...'. Hope this helps you!

Very helpful thx u sir and ma'am🙏
The popular means of transport in my town are motorbikes. Its benefits are convenient to move anywhere, easy to use. Its disadvantage is that it is very dangerous to travel when it rains
I often use electric bicycles and motorbikes to get around my hometown. It can be seen that , we are comfortable commuting , the time is controlled by us because we have our own transport . But the opposite is the frequent traffic jams, traffic accidents and environmental pollution
I live in Vietnam and where I live, motorbike is a very popular means of transport and I also use it every day. I chose it because it is compact and very portable
I usually go around by using my bike, the city is quite a sleepy place so u will never be stuck in any traffic jams and u can also enjoy the fresh air when driving as well as some beautiful sceneries. -there are many buses in my city but the space inside is so dirty and sometimes smell.
Wow you are amazing🤩

I live in Hanoi, which is the capital of Vietnam. I mostly use public transport, especially buses because it's convenient for me to go to my academy. Sometimes I walk or cycle when I hang out with my friends or go shopping.
My house is located in Dong Anh District, which is in the suburbs of Hanoi. If you live in the city centre, you can use buses. There are several choices for you such as bus number 61, 53A or 46. You should take the number 61 or 53A because it's quite near my house. When you come to Tien Duong commune, go through 6 stops and then get off the bus. Finally, after walking about 100 meters, you arrive at my house.
In Vietnam, there are 4 domestic airlines including Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific, Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways. About 7 years ago, I experienced a flight to Da Nang city on a Vietnam Airlines plane. It was a good flight since my seat had lots of legrooms and an air stewardess gave me a blanket so that I could sleep comfortably. That's why I have a good impression of this airline.
Remarkable 😍

Sonia Geraldine Pérez Ruiz Hi, thanks you teacher, good class. I usually travel yo work bye my scooter, it is a smooth trip without traffic.
I take the train to go to the city, it’s really confortable and spacious.
My hometown is Viet Nam, which is spectacular and hectic country. In there, almost people use personal vehicles such as motor, bike, and so on because it is convenient for moving in traffic congestion than public transports. So I often use motor to go to school and go out with friends. Many foreigner felt awful when they had joined in traffic in Viet Nam.
Hi Tram, thanks for sharing your response! Here are a few corrections for you: 1) '...which is a spectacular and hectic country,' not, '...which is spectacular and hectic country'. 2) 'Here, almost all people use...' not, 'In there, almost people use...'. 3) 'It is more convenient for...than...' not, 'It is convenient...'. Hope this helps you!

thank you very much for helpful lessons. Here is my answer for your question : I have lived in a big city so I mostly take a bus to go to wherever I want.In every morning, I walk to Ben thanh bus stop and take number 15. It takes me 45 minutes to go school. When I go by bus, I will be not worried to be stuck in traffic and the weather doesn't bother me too.Second, bus is cheaper than any means of transport. Futhermore, using bus is more environmentally- friendly. When I'm in the bus I have time to read books and admire the view from the window.
Thank you for telling us about transport and driving for you. Here are some corrections for you: 1) You can simply say, 'I live in a big city', not, 'I have lived'. 2) 'Every morning,' not, 'In every morning'. 3) '...minutes to get to school,' not, '...minutes to go school'. Hope this helps you!
Oxford Online English is... I will not be worried correct or I will be not worried correct?

1- Mostly I use a car to get in to my work and shopping from supermarkets. 2- we didn’t have a subway or metro in our country but we have buss and a little of stop stations. 3- I’ll use regular car using gasoline 4- I’m always use a direct flight for travel there is more thin airlines give’s you options some them expansive and full charge something not. Please correct for me, if there is something wrong because i was finished first step in english. I would like to practice in British pronunciation😍 Thank you a lot for this lesson ❤️
Thanks for sharing, Mohammed! Here are a few suggestions for you: 1) '...to get to work...' not, '...to get in to my work...' 2) '...and shop at supermarkets,' not, '...and shopping from supermarkets.' 3) 'We don't have a subway...' not, 'didn't.' Hope this helps you!

Hi. Im Nghi from Vietnam. I either ride a motorbike or cycle to get around my city. Sometimes i use a taxi to go to the party. Here in my city, there are not much public transport. We only have rails, buses and taxis. Taking a bus is more cheaper than a taxi. Many students often use buses to go to school. The disadvantage of using bus is that it take more time to change buses and you have to walk quite far to the bus stop. In addition, it is crowed during rush hour. There are buses every 30 minutes or so. Normally you have to wait 20 minutes or more. There are always traffic jams in my city , so the fastest way to travel around the city is riding a motorbike.
Hi Truong, thanks for sharing. Here are some corrections for you: 1) '...to go to parties,' not, 'go to the party'. 2) '...there is not much public transport,' not, 'are'. 3) 'Taking a bus is cheaper than a taxi,' not, 'more cheaper'. Hope this is useful for you!
I use different kinds of public transport to get around my hometown; depending on the weather, availability of the cab service, budget and luggage. I like to travel by my own car, its much safer and comfortable. Sometimes, when I am afraid of traffic jams, especially during political and religious rallies then I prefer to take the metro.
1- i ride bike to get around my home town. Advantages 1- i can easily go any where. 2- it saves my time. 3- i don't need to change vehicles if there is no any direct source toward my destination. Disadvantage 1- it is harmful for environment 2-it pays an extra burden on my pocket in form of fuel 3- Local transport is cheaper then it
Nice, Atif! Thanks for sharing. Here are some corrections for you: 1) 'I ride a bike...' not, 'i ride bike'. 2) '...if there is not a direct source,' not, '...if there is no any direct source'. 3) '...harmful for the environment,' not, '...harmful for environment'. Hope this is useful for you!
I love fly with Sky Airline. They are a budget airline but their service is really good and makes me feel respected. The seats are not tight as other budget airline, plus, they have lot of legroom. What I love the most is that their weight limitation for hand luggage is ten kilos, It is really suitable for my demand.
Thanks for sharing another good answer, Diana. Here are some tips: 1) 'I love flying,' not, 'fly'. 2) '...are not as tight as other...' not, '...are not tight as other...'. 3) '...other budget airlines,' not, 'airline'. Hope this helps you!
Helpful.
Glad you found it helpful, Muhammad!
Hk is UK’s Colony before, the transportation maybe similar. I take bus, subway, railway frequently!
Transport and driving I live in a small city. People usually drive their own cars or use public transportation to get around. There aren't so many options to choose from since my city is not big, but we have motorcycles, buses, and shared taxis. Some people even cycle or walk when the places they have to go aren't too far. As for my family, most of them have cars or motorcycles. My father uses his car, which is a secon-hand one. A particular thing about my father's car is that runs on petrol and gas. I don't have a car yet, but if I have one it would be a Volkswagen Beetle Convertible.
Hii , Mithi here, I go to my hometown by train. Usually it takes twelve hours and I really enjoy the journey. Especially the natural scenes attract me as I am fond of the nature. However it takes much time so sometimes I avoid travelling rather than doing another important work.
Nice response, Mithi! Here are a few suggestions for you: 1) 'The natural scenes especially attract me...' not, 'Especially the natural scenes attract me...'. 2) '...it takes a lot of time...' not, 'much'. 3) '...doing other important work,' not, 'another'. Hope this helps you!
I was getting around either by taking a bus or cycling when I was my hometown twenty years ago. The buses were about every five minutes and it was easy to take on. The buses could be very crowd due to the big population. There wasn't a lot private cars like now. Now I drive most of the time as it is cheaper with two children on board and it's much time saving as we don't have to waste time to walk down to the bus stop and waiting there for long. We can control the time of going out quite easy. I do try to avoid traffic jam when to start set off. Thank you for your video. Please let me know if my writing has any mistakes.
Thanks for sharing, Lixin! Here are a few suggestions for you: 1) '...when I was in my hometown,' not, '...when I was hometown'. 2) 'There weren't many private cars,' not, 'There wasn't a lot private cars'. 3) '...and it's very time-saving,' not, '...and it's much time saving'. Hope this helps you!
