I really appreciate this lesson. Those phrases and vocabulary are very useful. I am 66 years old and to learn English is my dream. I study by myself but I learn a lot with Oxford lessons. Your explanation is clear and easy to understand. I will practice through repetition. I know it is not easy to learn a language after old age but Slowly and always I get there. I do not give up. Thank you from the heart.❤️

Oxford online English teacher Gina is special English teacher 👍
I am so impressed with many words and phrase verbs used to a real world straight away. They are as follows : clunky, intuitive, stock, hassle, get the hang of it, get hold of, reasonable/fair, plus, call it quit etc I am really want these to come out in the middle of talking with others without hesitation.
Thanks for watching the lesson and sharing your comment!

Hello good morning you video English best interrest speak good English are you thank you
Thank you … it’s very useful 👍… my daughters have tried their first experience in online shopping … they ordered many toys and accessories for them at the beginning of the vacation … actually it was as award from me to them after along year of school and after their efforts on their studies on the exams … so they ordered their things by a website which is called “………“ , they were very satisfied and very happy ..especially when things arrived .. for me I didn’t like the quality of the products it were not as it seemed on website … but i think I loved the happiness which i saw on their eyes ..it was my happy too
Nice response, Asma! Here are a few suggestions for you: 1) It may be better to say something like: 'My daughters have had their first experience with online shopping,' rather than, 'my daughters have tried their first experience in online shopping.' 2) 'They ordered many toys and accessories for themselves...' not, 'them.' 3) '...it was a reward from me...' not, '...it was as award from me.' Hope this is useful for you!
@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 thank you … that’s was very useful and valuable 🙏🌺
Very helpful video.Thank you so much!! I am preparing for B1 exam, I would like to know , What level more or less is this video ?

Thanks for watching!
I' d prefer to buy my clothes online ,because it shows a new selection of different thing. My favourite website is 400,I liked it because it has the most international brands, and its prices are quite expensive but it is good value for money, but the last time it made me feel disappointed, when I saw apretty dress on their site . I purchase it in order to wear it on my friend 's wedding. They send to me what I order it , but as I open the package I was surprised .the dress definitely different interm ,size , colour , and model . They let me down
Thanks for watching and sharing a great response, Furat! Here are a few suggestions for you: 1) 'I prefer to buy my clothes online...' not, 'I'd.' 2) '...selection of different things...' not, 'thing.' 3) 'I like it because...' not, 'liked.' Hope this helps you!
Thx
Thanks for watching!

Hi there. We have a few lessons to help you: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/speak-english-fluently, www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/balanced-english-learning. We also have some teachers who would be happy to help you: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/about-our-online-english-teachers.
Thank you for your video. :) Here's my answer about the last questions: When I misordered something, that was usually clothes, especially pants. For example, I wanted to buy L size pants, but I misordered with M size. So I canceled and returned back. In this case, I have to pay the delivery fee for return. And I reordered with L size pants. It's not a big deal. It's very common for me. So I just think that I need to be more careful.
Great! Thanks for watching and sharing. Here are a few suggestions for you: 1) 'When I misordered something, that was usually clothes, especially pants...' is a bit confusing. Instead, you can say: 'When I mis-order something, it is usually clothes, especially pants...' or, 'When I used to mis-order things, it was usually clothes, especially pants...' You would use the second option if you are talking about a habit in the past which is not currently true. 2) '...but I ordered a size medium by mistake...' not, '...but I misordered with M size...' 3) '...and returned them...' not, '...and returned back...' Hope this helps you!
@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 Thanks for your reply! it's definitely helpful.
Hello, I have a small question. Here teachers used The expression (A good is good value for money). Is it usual? For me it sounds a bit awkward.
Hi Arman. Yes, 'good value for money' is used sometimes. Another similar phrase would be something like: 'a good deal.' Hope this helps you!

Hi guys! Thank you for your work, the dialogues are very helpful and relevant. But, please, work on your visuals: it's too obvious the background is fake and eats at parts of you, during the dialogues you don't look at each other (probably because you filmed them separately), and those 'smooth and seamless' transitions between two poses of the same person look weird and hallucinogenic. All this looks like it was done 10 years ago. In other words, your content is worth being represented on screen much better)

Hello Gina, Do you find that a phrase at 11.36 is difficult to follow by hear? Is it usual English? In my opinion simpler phrase would be Which online shopping sites have you been using since you left UK?
Hi Arman. Yes, this is usual English. It's a bit different from 'Which online shopping sites have you been using since you left UK?' because we're asking Rich to compare his usage of websites now that he lives outside of the UK compared to before. Specifically, asking if he uses websites more often after leaving the UK. The first part (Do you find that there are...) is also quite common to hear in conversation when asking about someone's personal experience. Hope this helps you!
@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 Thank you. I haven't noticed that she asked to comepare experience. Seems I need to do more deep research in English everyday phrases such as Do you find that there are.

Online shopping Our family has been buying things online for several years. We buy something in two online shops once a month. They have a wide range of goods. They rarely change the delivery time. The sites of these shops are very intuitive, and I easily got hang of ordering. We buy household goods, electronic products, toys, infant formula and canned purée for our child. I never buy clothes online. Images and videos don't give me a clear idea about the material and cut of clothes. I prefer buying it at physical shops. Generally the things I have bought online were good value for money. The online shops I used have a good customer service. But once I had to return our purchase. The roller blind I had bought was curved. I filmed it and made a declaration in pickup point. They sent the replacement.
Thanks for watching and sharing your comment! Here are some corrections for you: 1) It's a bit better to say: 'We buy something from two online shops...' rather than, 'in.' 2) 'They rarely charge a delivery fee,' not, 'the delivery time.' 3) '...intuitive, and I easily get the hang of ordering,' not, '...intuitive, and I easily got hang of ordering.' Hope this helps you!
