It was obvious from early on that Dan was a star. He is so hardworking and talented and has such a pleasant personality and dry sense of humor.

On Stephanie's channel he was different than on his. I remember at the beginning he rarely talked! Annalise would ask him what he was doing & he'd answer with as few mumbles as possible. You could Tell that he knew what he was doing (the complicated designed kitchen island) pointing, rendering, floor tiles, chandelier hanging -all of it- but rarely talking about any of it. NOW he is Highly Competent at Everything! I don't know why but Dan reminds me of the song "The Impossible Dream" !!!

What Dan has done all by himself, with no proper equipment, now building experience and no safety gear is amazing. I watch every single day. It is life a train wreck; I can't look away. Love you Dan.

Not just a hardhat, but all other safety piece of equipment necessary to keep himself safe. He’s very stubborn and Dan does what Dan wants. So, I say no more. Wonderful video. So entertaining. Loved it!

I don't normally comment on anyone's vlogs that I subscribe to, mostly out of fear of negative comments/feedback. BUT, I must say; that as the first channel I ever subscribed to; it warms my heart to see how Dan has remained part of not team Lalande BUT FAMILY Lalande!!!! It is so amazing to watch everyone's progress on their prospective Chateaus and to remember Dan joking while handing Stephanie's keys back to her after he "took over as the Chatelaine of Lalande" when Stephanie and Phillip had gone away and Dan had said he would NEVER want to own a Chateau. Absolutely! I just mentioned on another thread, how Annalise ran the camera & would ask him what he was doing to keep a dialog in the video & he would mumble short answers! You could tell how much talent he had but didn't want to talk about it! The complicated kitchen island, pointing, rendering, floor tiling And getting that Great Big Chandelier into the room & up on the ceiling! By Himself! He took out a window! Yep, you could see his ingenuity back then but not so much his personality. He did show more of it on Stephanie's channel though😮

How difficult it must have been to choose footage for this! Well done! This is such a beautiful tribute to "Dan the Gardener"! What fun to rewatch old episodes with him in it. I miss seeing him at Lalande but happy for his success. Stephanie, Dan may have caught up to you in subs but because of you, there are so many more KZhead channels that you helped to inspire! Kudos to you both!
