  • As a goalie you know this movement is the ultimate bane of your f***ing existence. Backside pushes (that’s the term) are common in goaltender movement drills to amp up the difficulty. Yes Goalies can make it look easy but the amount of reps we do of that movement is enough to drive you insane.

    • Yeah they make cheap clip in blades rather than mounting them directly onto the base.

    • @@IRanOutOfPhrases They're actually more expensive. The base stays on and it has actual components making it easier to switch out blades. Blades break eventually after sharpening many times, this way they can be quickly replaced within a mater of minutes.

  • Watching world-class hockey players flub around on the ice due to a lost skate board is one of the most hilarious things in professional sports. You are absolutely useless on the ice with only one blade. Shame on Carter Hart for getting to the bench so gracefully and ruining my enjoyment.

  • usually they should call a Binnington [Rask?], or 'Goaltender Embellishment' penalty. Hart does it better than an actual videogame could be rendered, probably.

    • No thats not how it works. You need the other skate to push off on the ice. He would need to be pushed by somebody else if he were to try to skate on it. Much quicker and easier that way.
