When I was younger and still actively playing, changeable blades in skates weren't really a thing. I was playing one tournament where we were in the semi finals, and my blade snapped after jamming my skate on the post, and I didn't have a backup pair. Luckily we had the backup, otherwise we would have had a player in the net for 35+ minutes... lol
You could probably make an entire video on skate blades lost just from the playoffs alone
I’d like to see a rule that if a goalie loses a skate blade, the whistle is blown. It should be equal to losing the mask.
Nikolas DeNicola it’s because losing the mask can be dangerous whereas the blade isn’t really dangerous
TVGibson it very well can be dangerous losing a skate blade. not being able to react in time saying if your back is turned to the puck is no good.
