World War I Every Day with Army Sizes

This video was completely inspired by Cristopher's World War II Every Day with Army Sizes! • World War II Every Day...
The Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand was the spark that ignited the biggest conflict the world had ever witnessed until 1914: to this day the Great War remains one of the deadliest conflicts of humanity
This was the hardest project I have ever done but it was worth it.
I used paint.net, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects to produce this video

  • The word french or france or any french general or french deed occur 3 times. The first mention is to talk about a failure (French offensive end in complete disaster on the Western Front) The second is the aftermath of the failure(French general Robert Nivelle is replaced as Commander of the french Army after millitary failures) The third is to speak about american help(American forces are deployed in France) The word british, or england or any mention of a british general or deed occur 21 times. The army of britain at the start of the war numbers around 200 000 men while France fields around 650 000 men. In 1917, the BEF was numbering around 2 000 000 men while France numbered around 3 000 000 men. More french died, more battles were won by France on the Western front. The Western front was the most important theater of the war. Now did France won the war on their own ? No. The british fleet was crucial for the victory on Germany. Yes, i used the word crucial. But France is mentionned as much as the Ottoman Empire :D. You can say what you want. There is no reason to not talk about the most powerfull army on the winning side and on the main front. There is no reason to not talk about the battle of the Marne, but to talk about the battle of the Somme. I mean, we lost the cultural war, it's been a long time, me and my compatriots are used to have our history erased by anglo-saxon propaganda. We would frankly do the same if we were on the opposite side. I just like every now and then to remind people that we exist and that in that particular war, we were the main belligerant, at least as important if not more important by certain metrics , than the british. Now let's not just forget all the work put into this, this isn't just english propaganda, i can see the efforts put into this, so i'll still command what has been done. I was frankly entertained despite everything. It's really good quality. Good day or night or whenever you read this.

    • I really didnt "insult" the french army on porpouse, the fact is that britain had many more fronts and operations during the war so they are mentioned often in particular campaigns, while the french army with the trench warfare lost millions of men in useless attacks which resulted in stacking failure after failure, alongside other entente forces also in the trenches. That is not to underrate the losses of the French Army, but just the weight of the events, you also didnt take in account when the 100 days offensive was mentioned, which occured as the push back of the germans from france

Nonetheless I just wanted to say that the ONLY time the French were mentioned in the ENTIRE video was at 6:43, to say that "French offensives end in complete disaster on the Western Front" and "French general Robert Nivelle is replaced as Commander of the French army after military failures". The most important, most powerful and most successful army of the Entente could have received a bit more respect imo.

  • 5:37 quick little correction since i'm a britannic nerd. she sank on the 21st november (not the 18th) off the coast of the greek isle of kea (then zea) after striking a mine at just about 8 am, she sank in approx. 55 mins with the loss of 30 of her 1066 crew and assistants aboard - no passengers (who would've been wounded soldiers more than passengers) were aboard the ship at the time, as she was just being prepared to take on wounded men. the sinking of the britannic was used by the british as the lusitania was, being claimed she was sunk by a torpedo. the sinking of a hospital ship was and is a war crime and was thus valuable in further vilifying germany. it was found out after the discovery of her wreck in 1975 that it could not have possibly been a torpedo as the gash on the starboard side was too large, and it was thus determined to instead be a mine. britannic was actually the r.m.s. titanic's sister ship, and was so large and lengthy that she struck the floor of the aegean before fully submerging, causing her to keel to her starboard side - not before her bow was nearly entirely torn off by the force of the crash on the seabed. :)

I couldn't help but notice that the video seems to be inspired by the "World War II every day with army sizes" video, which is also really impressive. I loved everything about it - the music, the visuals, and the way it was put together. I hope that you are doing well and continuing to create such exceptional content. By the way, if you happen to be Muslim, I wish you the very best and may Allah bless you abundantly.

The treaty in fact weakened Soviets stand but they neither support but needed to comply on the German and Ottoman demands for a possible peace treaty and to temporarily focus themselves against the remaining Entente and its allies mainly Europe US and Japanese. Bolshevik Revolution x October Revolution because Bolsheviks are just the stand in RSDLP so its better to call it October Revolution by the soon Soviets to completely disbanded Constituent Assembly and to reveal themselves as the true enemy of Russian people. Even with succesful gains early on, Interventionists succeeded to push back Soviets into 1/16 of previous Russian Empire territories even though main urban areas remains Soviet supplies are now mostly scarce and blindly interpreted as their power now in the countryside. Soviets needed to fix alot of things because also that they crushed Tsarst armies defence even though it allows them to recruit some of these specialists but most join surely the White Armies.

Meaning no matter how many Kilometers of land were taked by either side (up to a limit) - the first side who lack equipment, manpower, stability, war support and resources collapses and therefore loses. Same thing is happening right now 100 years later in Ukraine.
