  • Dariush is good against fighters who aren't very explosive and pure grapplers, that's why he was able to dominate Gamrot. His weakness has always been explosive strikers, which was shown when he got knocked out by Alexander. He can still win though if given the right fights.

      @JrE-il7cf@JrE-il7cf5 ай бұрын
    • Yeah , but every single guy above him in the top of the lw Div are exactly the kind of bad matchups for him you mentioned. Dustin , gaethje, chandler, Charles, islam, these are all guys who have solid tdd , even if in terms of pure bjj and on the actual ground Benny has them beat, and these are all fast twitch, explosive fighters with one shot knockout power. Gaethje and chandler in particular , even if they have negative fight iq between them both combined at times. Dustin is I’d say probably less explosive and lethal then Charles or gaethje or chandler but Dustin also has 5 round cardio, a solid durable chin, has never lost two in a row despite being a top contender for a long time now, and there isn’t a single fighter in this division who can stand and bang with Dustin and come out on top without sleeping him cold or out grappling the guy, and Benny throws single shots with a lot of wind up and leaves his chin exposed. I don’t think Benny is washed or done and I’m not pretending two losses means he’s suddenly done for, I just think that gamrot win at the end of his good streak was his peak, and that now he will at best be a gatekeeper to the top 10 which is not bad either and there are guys up and coming who I do think he beats

    • As Khabib said "take him down make him tired". There is no reason for Beneil to strike with these young killers in the 1st round. He has always struggled with speed and everybody has figured this out now and will try to exploit this weakness. Beneil and his coaches need to address this in his training.

Beneil looked real good early but man you can only have your two hands and legs in certain places at a time, you can only block so many things and that knee just managed to throw Beneil off and followed by a perfect and fast right hook. Sometimes you just gotta give props and move on because that creativity could've caught anyone.

Look at dustin when he fought justin,he looked shredded he said it was the best camp easiest weight cut of his life and he looked like he was fast and improved and look what happened. He never even got a chance to get in the fight and show anything instead got head kicked into the shadow realm! It's all about the state of mind in this situation, if there's a chance to come bk which is definitely possible your head needs todeal with what happened and learn from it also take comfort in knowing u won't b finished in the same way again if u really learn how u got hurt and why aswell as what u could and should have done differently to avoid being open for that strike.

  • Dariush was always a slow starter then gets better, and Oliveira is a fast starter. That was a bad match-up, and again Arman set up a good combo in first round due to Dariush's slow pace in 1st round. Gamrot couldn't do that because he tried to wrestle with Dariush, even though he probably won a close round, he gas out in 2nd and 3rd rounds and Dariush controlled the fight with his better cardio.

  • Beneil doing the most to figure out what it is... it's your chin and striking offense/defense

  • Can’t even imagine going on an 8 fight win streak in talks for the title then having what happened to him. I feel like fighters after the Charles fight really saw his flaws in striking and reaction time sadly.

  • Beneil has always been weak against quick strikers. He has been ko’d plenty of times. Other than that he is an excellent mind for the sport. World class grappling. Great core strength and base for lw. Odd. My favorite fighter in the game. I have faith he can still beat top level fighters.

  • I like Benny but deep inside I feel he knows his time is over and someones needs to tell him the reality that all fighters will face eventually..!!! His fighting it and does not want to face reality and is almost becoming to be the same story...

  • Beneil is a great dude. He has 100% commendable great world views (speaking out against marxism!!) he loves his family. You can tell he has a great wife and a great relationship with his wife. And his entire philosophy on fighting in the UFC is more respectable than these vain placeholders who don't want to fight. I don't think he's done but I also believe the belt is out of the conversation. He can still beat many guys, but I'm not sure how the UFC is going to treat him for his next few fights - it may get worse depending on their matchups.

  • Beneil is one of my favorite fighters! But two losses in a row puts things in perspective!🤔 I hope Dariush doesn't act like Tony and keeps fighting no matter what 😫 I agree 👍 he can try one last time maybe, but after that if he loses again he has to retire!!!!!!
