You also need to see the braking line so a drone hovering slightly back from the line to get the rear lights.
They are supposed to brake at the line. So it doesn't matter if they brake together.one car can brake slightly later if it falls behind the other. the result would be the same.

You should show the results of each of the drag races including elapsed time and speed. The RS4 won by a good margin on the first race, but lost badly in subsequent races. Without times shown the viewer cannot objectively tell how much the results are due to the car or the driver. But thanks for the race video as always!

The older RS7 was a killer. This one, despite the great looks, is a huge disappointment. The M5 and the E63 roll past by it with so much ease. The soft limiter, weight of this car and not enough horsepower/torque are what making it slow.
ESC off = no "limiter" Actually this is well known If you often drive VW/Audi/Seat/... models
maybe back in 2008 (13 years ago). but not today :D It doesnt even work on my 2012 VW CC 3.6 V6

Mat , the information about the RS7's speed limiter: An optional Dynamic package relaxes the limiter out to 174 mph, and the full Dynamic Plus pack pushes that total to 190 mph

9:06 RS7 did brake early, a few feet from the line - where the tarmac change color. Not that it'll make a difference with the result thou. Also curious to see the actual time from the 1st 2 attempts of the drag race.

Little tip: put the car in drive and roll the car at 10 mph and then into neutral, you can then redline the car!

Matt listen in Audi’s and BMW’s when you are launching the car, you have to see the boost gage you have to build boost then you are going to have the best launch, you should do that instead of reving the car 2 seconds before launching the car 🤷🏻♂️

Hi Matt I have been testing most cars with a soft limiter and noticed that you can get rid of the soft limiter by placing the vehicle into drive and then back into neutral the vehicle is then able to rev past 4000rpm. Give it try in you next video.

If you have a track then do something like Top Gear, all the cars you've got on this channel, and time them in a lap and put them on a board. Or if not just their drag timings. Since there's a huge variety, you could divide the timings into sections based on the cars too I guess.

Its seems that the rs7 had some problems when launching, cause in some past videos, it had a 1/4 mile time of 11,4s, interesting.

Exactly my thoughts. It's a shame to see them botch it so bad. Hopefully they can fix it with the Performance model if they still plan to do those.

You forgetting the main issue with the new rs6/7 they have come out too late with the new emissions rules whereas the BMW and Mercedes have been out before the new rules. GPF has killed the new gen cars but nothing a tuner can’t easily gut and map out 👌

The RS7 hasn't been performing as well as it use to in the Drag Race, and I think it's the same for ever single Audi. Carwow should make a video containing most of the RS cars including the old models.
Matt apparently the Rev limiter is some BS around catalyst protection.
For the braking test you need a camera angle from the rear so we can see the brake lights timed with entering the braking zone.
This is one of the best ones yet! Great comparison so interesting to see this turn of events.

Xbox Series X in a couple more years AMG and M will have cars with 700+ hp lol. Audi is lacking in this generation of performance cars. Never been a fan of Audi’s I’ve been an AMG person myself but compared to the previous generation rs7 to this is backwards lol. The previous generation rs7 looked and performed much better not mentioning all the performances upgrades you can do to that thing.
Xbox Series X mate even the normal M5 and E63 version is faster than this RS7 or RS6. You have to admit that Audi has been going downhill in terms of performance. They are adding too much weight on the car

Not sure if this works in all cars but if you are rolling forward and in neutral you should be able to rev much higher than the soft limiter allows.
I have a S5 to enable launch control. Hold the stability button for 5 seconds. You have to shut off everything then hold brake and gas and you can rev higher.
Audi in terms of performance has been a huge let down this generation 😂and I’m the biggest Audi fan possible to that fucjing hurts to say

AMAX mode = Dynamic + Sports Shift + ESC Off button held for over 5 seconds (not a partial switch off). This is for C7 and C7.5. Assuming the C8 and this RS4 is the same (same gearbox). AMAX is short for Acceleration Maximum mode (Audi speak). Hard on brake with left foot, hard on throttle with right foot, engine stalls the convertor to about 2,600 RPM. Release brake pedal, hang on. You can really tell the difference as there's no hesitation, it launches like being shot out of a cannon, it's instant. It improves the 400m time by 0.3-0.4 seconds. 11.2 in a C7 560HP.

Mat to bypass the Rev limiter keep the car in between Park and Reverse hold it there then rev ... it releases the clutch and you can rev the car properly , it doesn’t do any damage and it works on my golf

The RS7 driver cheated in the 3rd attempt of the drag race to save himself from embarrassment 😀 !! The 2nd attempt of the drag race was the most accurate one.
You are 100% right on the second being the real race, but the RS7 didn't technically cheat on the 3rd, he did get a really lucky guess on the start though. If you frame by frame it, he did start moving 2 frames after her hands started to drop. Matt was about 10 frames before you can see any hint of movement.
