It’s pink, pudgy, and super rare! In this video the crew travels over 12,000 miles so Mark Vins can try to accomplish a childhood dream of catching the pink creature from down under - the one and only Turtle Frog.

This video is groundbreaking because it is the first high-quality video ever filmed of this truly bizarre animal that can only be found in Western Australia a few days a year.

    • That’s another funny thing about the turtle frog. All the other normal-looking frog species in southwest Australia produce all manner of weird unfroglike calls - you hear sounds at night like sad moaning, motorbike engines, or someone plucking a banjo. Then you have the turtle frog, the strangest looking frog imaginable, yet it produces a mundane stereotypical frog “croak”.

I got so excited when after it rained in Arizona these soft little frogs come out of the ground. They too were adorable. The soil here is not so soft. I was amazed that they could burrow into the soil.

    • Asian banded bullfrog can qualified. Despite of the name it doesn't related to american bullfrog nor resemble it. It just so round with small head (actually plenty of burrowing frogs oddly have such appearance too. Smol head and round body)
