On May 7th, the UFC is making a statement at the footprint Center in Phoenix Arizona, bringing fight fans one of the most anticipated fight card of the year. The featured fight presents a fight for redemption between two veteran legends of the lightweight division between Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler. The co-main event sees a rematch 9 years in the making between the champion Rose Namajunas and the rightful #1 contender Carla Esparza. The main event is the highly anticipated fight between heavy handed Justin Gaethje vs the reigning king of the 155lbs'ers Charles Oliveira.

I dunno oliveira sacrifices getting hit for position. He acctually gets hit quite a bit. I dont know if he will be able to do that with gaethje. If oliviera fights smart and picks gaethje apart he will probally win. If he takes a couple calf shots and starts panicking trying to take gaethje down he might get caught

@@eviljesus5411 abc logic or mma math is irrelevant when comparing two fighters. What Justin and Charles have done in their past is somewhat irrelevant to who they’re fighting in the future. Imo stylistically Justin has a better chance then either Dustin or Chandler vs Oliveira despite Justin having been finished by Dustin. Styles makes matchups after all, someone always has your number.

Tony's losses were way worse than Chandlers, Tony looked like a ghost in his last couple fights, Chandler even in his losses looked like one of the best in the world, I hope Tony will be good but I expect this fight to be hard to watch

Chandler took a lot of damage from the Gaethje fight. If he stands with Tony, he will lose. His best path to victory is wrestling, if his cardio allows.

Olivera's biggest defensive issue is that he doesn't move his head, a huge weakness when facing someone with Gaethje's power. On the other hand, Gaethje's defensive ju jitsu is virtually non-existent, a hug weakness when facing someone like Olivera. If I had to choose, I'd lean towards Olivera because he has more tools in his arsenal to win the fight however, this is a pick em fight in my eyes. Really excited for this card!

I’m gonna be rooting for Oliveira. I was surprised how many ppl underestimated him in the lead up to the DP fight, including the Vegas odds. I know mma math doesn’t work, but Oliveira was able to finish chandler, when gaithje couldn’t.. the man finishes fights and is exciting to watch

Charles has a good chin. His last two fights alone (chandler and poirier) he took big shots and came back to win both fights.
Gaethje doesn’t hit harder than Dustin. And Oliveira took Dustin’s shots and finished him. Plus Dustin KO’d Gaethje.

I love your verbal presentation is very unique and set your videos apart from others who do similar videos.
I dont think Tony and Chandler are coming from the same place going into this fight. Sure, they're both on losing streaks, but Tony has been dominated in all of those loses. Conversely, Chandler made his losses extremely competitive and arguably the fight against Oliveira could have been stopped and I can't imagine anyone taking issue with it.
Tony was out wrestled in his last 2 losses while Chandler got finished by Oliveira and took a bad beating from Gaethje. Chandler is a 1-round fighter and will drop off mid 2nd round. Might not end well for him cos Tony is a savage and keeps the same pace throughout his fights.

I am rooting for Oliviera simply because I prefer his style of fighting. Gaethje is a threat tho. And people are comparing Oliviera and khabib, because they are both submission experts and excellent on the ground, only difference is that Habib imo is a lot stronger and pushes pressure that Charles just doesn’t do. I think the fight will be really close, and I honestly don’t know who I think will win. I’m just hoping for an entertaining fight!
I think Olivera does pressure but his pressure is less wrestling and more grappling heavy as in he would clinch and throw elbows and knees instead of straight up look for a takedown unlike Khabib who would pressure that takedown all the way through, they both have different styles of pressuring, the thing is that Oliveras pressure is not the best against someone like Justin who likes to have a slugfest even in the clinch this is a pretty good match up in my opinion, let’s see how it goes down cause I might be wrong about everything I just said lol, mma math isn’t always right hell I’d say it’s wrong more then 50% of the time.

I’m not doubting Olivera but just because he beat Dustin and Chandler doesn’t mean he’ll beat Justin. Some styles are just harder to deal with, for instance- Dominick Cruz destroyed TJ but couldn’t beat Cody but Cody couldn’t beat TJ, you never know- this could be just like that
