WHO WON and WHY??
Hilux... only because i am saving for one. i like the Prado but as a pig farmer i aint putting fully grown pigs in that 😂🤣 i would be cleaning the interior for days
Haven’t seen the video yet but I’m going to take a stab and say Hilux because of the +- 900kg - 1000kg load capacity
Coils > Leaf springs so Prado wins for me
And the extra fuel consumption would be the aero from the back of the ute and the roof rack and light set up on the ute isn't as efficient as the Prado
It say vehicles are pretty even over the coarse.. but Harry did do the two handed grab on the awning.. so Rhona brought it home on the over all

These Prado's aren't too bad. They do the Landcruiser name well.

Different vehicles for different purposes, I think. Depends on your needs. I had a dual cab Ute, and it spend the majority of its life with nothing in the tray. Bought a Prado next. No regrets. Love it. Comfort and ride quality is much better!
In Europe the LC Prado is crazy expensive due to emissions. But in UK they are selling a comercial van version with two seats, that allow it to have less taxes. And be a great platform to build an off-road rig.

How do they call this model Prado over here? Only know about the older Prados.
Here in the Netherlands the prices for a Landcruiser/Prado range from 100k - 130k for the regular 5 door version to half of that for the 2 seater commercial van version. For 50k you could also buy a 2 seat 78 troop carrier with a 4 litre V6 petrol on 'business plates'

Great review on the Prado & Hilux. I drove a brand new Prado GXL back to back with 200 on the same roads ( a great route consisting of 3 lane main roads to back lane ways , decenents off camber corners etc etc) and was blown away with the difference ! The wife wanted the Prado - me the 200. We were both overwhelmed with the 200 performance even though the test drive road should have favoured the Prado. The 200 is now parked in our garage and we love it even more !
Great banter lads! This was a good exercise for people with different budgets and vehicle requirements but it’d have to be a hilux for me as I have kids with dirt bikes. Good episode guys 👍🏼

Prado wins by a mile! More comfortable, way bigger fuel capacity & better build quality being built in Japan! Hilux is built in Thailand for collecting coconuts 😂. But seriously buy what you can afford & enjoy it!

both are wicked rigs but I've learned to love wagons. and having ridden in the prado over some not so great terrain I know how amazing Harry's car rides. got to give it to him on this one.

Great effort fella's had quite a few lol's with this one. + 1 for the Prado, have one myself and it's a great machine be it going to Coles or hitting the dirt. What surprised me the most was the rather large turning circle of the Hilux.

Both great rigs . Drove past Harry in the fire to fork on fri last week heading south of Perth . looks so awesome up close but also have a sr5 hilux too so either vehicle is great as both have diff positives for diff circumstances. Love em both and the presenters too . Keep up the awesome 👏 vids guys 😎

Both great vehicles, just sold my Prado sadly and got a new hilux with bigger towing ability. Like Ronny said it's not flash out of the box, but do some upgrades like tyres, suspension and fuel tank makes it a pretty good tourer.
How, I’ve heard more of you Aussies saying about towing capacity but in Europe we can tow 3.5 tonnes with the prado

While I'm in the USA (driving a Toyota Tundra), I do enjoy watching your videos for ideas from the mods you've done or gear you use that I might also be able to use. Of course, my camping is a bit different. I pull a travel trailer (have two, 19ft & 30ft, to choose from) to a general area (mildly off-road), setup a base camp, and off-road out from there.
Yeah we have some beautiful parts here in the US but it can’t come close to the beaches and bush down under. They can enjoy their nature in their trucks, there’s only a few places you can beach drive and camp like this and they are few and FAR between.
Great work with this one boy's, was a good laugh. Prado for the win, wagon is sealed. No need to spend more on a canopy or new tray setup.
Nah you just spend way more on the prado to begin with. Sealing kits aren't expensive.

My two favourite KZheadrs. Great video please do more. I think it was pretty much a tie. It's more a matter do you prefer a ute or wagon. Both very capable. I would take either one but can't afford it. A Pajero driver.
Both great options. Personal preference wins. But would be good to understand total build cost on both to get an idea of total cost.

Out of several Toys I've owned, worked HARD with, had tons of FUN with, my clear winners are: FJ40 / 1.979 w/ 4.2 liter (petrol, N.A.) i6, *FZJ 73 w/4.5 liter (petrol, N.A.motor), *Series 80 / 1.995 w/ 4.5 liter i6 (petrol N.A.) FZ-FE i6. *HiLux is pretty 'bulletproof' for farm work and *Prado, (series 150) is more comfy, versatile. ALL of the above, utterly reliable, given proper maintenance. NO hiccups whatsoever. Nissan Patrol cars from 1.980's to mid 1.990's are quite good too. Still keep my late Dad's K160, (restored), specially for sentimental reasons.
Clear cut victory for Ronny! it comes down to the double hander from Harry haha...nothing to do with the fact I drive a Hilux too.
Best video yet, for me it’s the Prado. Sure I only occasionally carry tools and materials for work and like the turning radius/dust proof ness. However if I were a contractor/tradie the Hilux would dominate
