been a carpenter, developer contractor, hold a mechanical engineering degree, have been several city entities " go to" for advice on difficult building dilemmas. All that said, I cried. Your ingenuity and design prowess just made me wonder why I paid 34k for a tag along to use on my property while I set up my shop and house foundation. I hope you get many more tool sponsors and neat toys to make these kinds of projects. I truly appreciate the time and efforts, put forth to design and build this. HUMBLED!
😃😃😃 é impressionante ver tanta habilidade
Pl
And don’t forget the filming, editing and humor in the voice over. Really great work!
NO KIDDING! Thought I was good but I feel like a rookie compared to this!🙏
Former tool designer, draftsman lifelon woodworker and current journeyman glazier. I couldn't touch this kind of form, function or finish. Sir you have reached the highest level of craftsmanship. My highest compliments!!
i’m in awe
Hey
Didn't know you had a new truck insert being made lol
remake yours
We should make you one Mav
I’m thinking to myself watching this would be perfect for Mav lol & behold he’s already seen it & commented lol
Absolutely fantastic build. I’m just floored by the level of detail and functionality you were able to achieve in such a small space. I feel like I’m carrying my whole house now
Everyone else is doing it wrong except this guy. Very nice work
You know it’s a good video when 21 mins feels like 5. Absolutely awesome job you’ve done here mate 👍
Thank you so much 😀
Oh man, you’re right. This guy is not only a master fabricator but also a master editor 👏
And I’m sitting here camping wishing I had his skills!
I was hoping for another 21min 😂
Now that you mentioned that true! Did not seem like 21 minutes whatsoever at all!
Ok. I will stop looking at drawer builds now. This is the definition. Even your parts list is a gold mine. Thank you sir.
Thank you!
Ok, this is definitely the best build I've ever seen! It's absolutely impressive! Whenever I see a custom build like this being done, I always know it will be well thought out when a woodworker is doing it.
I’ve seen quite a few tailgate style kitchens built on pull out slides and yours is by far the best I’ve ever seen. Not only did you manage to think of just about everything you’d ever need in a tailgate kitchen but some of your design features are absolutely brilliant. The collapsible slide out sink, knife drawer with built-in magnetic strip are just so freaking cool and I love the fact that you tried to use every bit of available space so that nothing got wasted. I tip my hat to you sir for engineering an amazing pull out kitchen! Thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to seeing more of your videos! Cheers!
Get the hell out of here. What a seemingly "simple" job so flawlessly well executed. I never ever leave comments, but this video was amazing. Keep it up man, for real, this was awesome and made my day.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 trabalho incrível mesmo..
This is probably the best overland kitchen/storage build I have ever seen!
Thank you!
No lie. Any chance of putting out some plans for the public? Obviously measurements would need to be customized by the user for their individual truck but more detailed plans for the drawers etc would be helpful. :)
@@jamesgregory7864 Yes, this project is very nice.
It was a pleasure watching you build this. Superbly thought out, designed and executed. Just wow!!!
Absolutely amazing and functional setup!! You’ve given me so many ideas. I am so glad I came across your video!
One of the most professional well thought out builds I have ever seen! Along with the most complete description's to help others make there own.
I've watched so many DIY overland builds and this is by far the most efficient and well thought-out one I've seen. Killer work man!
Thank you!
I was only thinking if there would be a way to make the water container out of 4 instead of 2 pipes, to be like a Diamond shape, so that the water volume would double for not much more area taken.
@@cenariusbgyou could. You would need 4 45s and 2 90s. Or you could use 22.5 degree fittings to alter the shape even more.
I started watching this for ideas for my work truck, but kept watching past the mechanics for the sheer joy of a well build and presented project! You are truly an artist! Thanks for sharing this!❤
Everything, EVERYTHING is so incredibly well thought out. I would genuinely love cooking on this setup while out for a weekend. Almost no amenity spared! Incredible build man
Your attention to detail is spot on Blake.
Seriously, I could do the same project and mine would like an art project from elementary school. Some people just have a gift.
Hands down the most creative, and detail oriented build I’ve ever seen.
Impressive build! Inspirational! I love how clean and organized your shop is!❤
Truly awe inspiring craftmanship. Love all the small details that are well thought out. Man I have a lot to learn!
Amazing builder! I wish have a neighbor like him so I can watch and learn..
😃😃😃😃, Aprender com quem sabe é bom demais..
KIller Build... One important tip I learned the hard way. Either remove the fire extinguisher before using the kitchen or permanently relocate to a non-flamably area of the truck. If you ever have a fire situation with the tank, gas-line or stove a fire would prevent access to the FE.
You've piqued my curiosity. How hard was the hard way you learned that lesson? 😳😳
@@scottwpilgrim $2,500 BBQ went up in flames, the LP tank hose ignited (leak?). We mounted our FE next to the BBQ. We had an extra extinguisher in the garage, but the damage was too extensive to save by the time we put out the fire.
That's insanely well done with exquisite attention to detail, design, and finish. Now if only there was a place that regular folk like me without your vision and skills could get something like that....
Very, very impressive! I was particularly impressed with using plywood for the frame as well. I had it in my my mind to use 1x2. Using plywood, will give me back more storage space, and simpler construction. Actually, I was quite impressed with everything you did here. I found it quite inspirational! Thank you !
best complete fab ive seen in a while, the attention to detail throughout your filming left no stone unturned. An absolute treat, and something to set the standard for truck box buildouts. bravo.
Wow. This video and build was so well done and explained that I actually believe I could do it myself. And a great example of not needing high end everything to be extremely functional! I especially love the water system. So simple but perfect. Great inspiration, thank you!
Super cool! A work to be proud of. To anyone without a sweet shop and a budget, don't forget a folding table and some totes and jugs of water gets you camping and cooking in the same places outdoors with the fam.
Firstly… yes I read your full disclaimer 😂. Blown away by this build. I’m a woodworker but hadn’t thought about the possibilities of incorporating so many of those skills into a build like this.
This is the dream build, thank you for sharing! It’s everything I’ve been trying to piece together in my mind - but for real, and so brilliantly designed. Wow, I’m so excited to incorporate some of these ideas into my camper build!
I’m looking into traveling a lot with my new Tacoma, and I was wanting to build something like this, and I’m absolutely blown away by how perfect this setup is. New dream acquired!
Thanks to your videos, my boyfriend and his dad were inspired to build drawers for the truck, now we are living in the road and traveling through the states!
Everyone appreciates your build, especially your wife!!! Show and tell is very much appreciated. Love the way you secured the entire build, loosen a few bolts and the whole build can be removed, sweet. Design shows great forethought and yet easily built. Best on the web that I have come across. Congrats!
Your wife is on vacation too, not there to cook three course meals. Man thing I suppose!
That is the most well-thought-out truck camping system I have seen (the water tank system, specifically). I don't even own a truck and I want to do that! I do have a minivan, though...
Thank you! I've seen some cool minivan setups!
Look into "Road shower". I've been very happy with mine.
One of the best builds I have seen. Excellent design and craftsmanship! Going to use some of these ideas on my off road squaredrop build
I've watched literally hundreds of these builds and this is, hands down, the most genius of all. Top-notch design and construction skills. Highly impressed. I'm using your video to show a builder when it's time for me to hit the road.
quality, and well done. never seen a home build so well designed and built before, credit to you
Seeing guys like this lad right here work is an amazing reminder of the skill gap between hobbyists and pros. I mean that in the best way possible as well. As a hobbyist, it gives me excitement knowing I have so much more to learn!
Awesome build. Wasn't expecting to pick up a few tricks like using a router instead of a jigsaw. Also I'm glad to see more and more people using the pocket screw method instead of things like dovetails for joints. I had the same idea to use aluminum angle pieces for edging on a few projects with my old van build.
This is the best thing I've seen ever! I couldn't stop smiling with joy when you showed the breakdown of everything. Wonderful work.
Remarkable work! I'm in the very early stages of planning an overland setup within my Topper EZlift Weekender kit in my short-bed Tacoma. It's a very limited/tight area to work with, but your max utilization of space is inspiring and gives me hope! 😅
Envy, respect, love, longing, and perhaps most importantly, inspiration. How anyone could watch this video and not have the same feelings is incomprehensible. Your various skills are so evident here in everything you did. As a camper I could only dream about building such a well thought out and superbly engineered system. I subscribed to your channel a long time ago and have watched a lot of your work. This video was so inspiring I will be tuning in more often to see what you are up to. Blake, you are a master! Well done.
Wife to me, "you're watching that video again aren't you "? Me: "YES"❤👏
Well try anyway to comprehend-
Absolutely marvellous! Every new idea I said "I'm going to try that!" ... so, I was talking to myself a lot throughout the video!!! Inspiring!
Probably the best work I've seen on KZhead when it come to camping equipment. Much respect
This is the best built i have even seen! Crazy how clean and organized everything is. Great Job!!
Of all of the builds I've watched for making your truck more of a utility vehicle, this has got to be the best one. I fell in love with the kitchen sink, although I camp in a fold down. And I have an outdoor island that has a dish pan for a sink. Adding that rechargeable LED light is something I've been looking for. And using the rubber diamond plate, keeps everything looking very professional. Kudos on a great build.
My goodness. This is straight up genius. I love the fact that every single thing was thoroughly thought out and built with care. It’s beautiful!
So great to watch! Pure genius at work. Thank you for filming this for us.
When you cut the webbing for the propane I said out loud, "I hope you burn those ends" and 2 seconds later? You burned the ends. Lol. Excellent project my man! Very well done.
I gotchyou lol
BAHAHAHHA.. you weren't the ONLY one to have that thought run thru yer brain. 😂
This build is so cool. So many things fit in a tiny space and there are so many innovative ways to make things multipurpose!
As you know, when you watch something on youtube, it shows you lots of other similar videos. So I just watched another youtube fox hunt. They used more expensive equipment, and took longer. They didn't actually triangulate. Your method means even more to me, than before. Thank you!
You made it look so easy, with no space wasted. inspired for my build, especially the collapsible sink & bag to catch the grey water.
You should do a complete overland truck build with those skills of yours.
I don’t know which is more impressive…the design and execution of this project or the shop you have to build it. Such a treat…bravo!
Man what a skill set and repertoire of tools. I would pay a good amount of cash for a setup like that! Simply amazing!
Stunning. Absolutely stunning
As I'm sketching my dream van conversion I've been trying to visualize a small outdoor kitchen that is attached to the van like an outside storage box that would swing around to the passenger side so I could cook while facing and visiting with everyone sitting under an awning on passenger camp side. The details you have included are awesome and give me some great ideas. Thank you!
Look into camping trailers , you can tow it behind your van and many of them come with awnings and full setup kitchens ect. So many kinds though I’m in the search for a camping trailer without a bed area but I guess that’d be a kitchen trailer 🤷🏻♂️
fold out table + camp stove + a milk crate of cooking supplies + easy access to your pantry, bam, done.
I had the same truck years ago living in MT. This would have made my life a much better experience. Really dig this!
Wow. I'm in awe of your ingenuity.
I’ve watched so many versions of this video, can easily say yours is the best I’ve seen. Great respect for your craft and appreciate you putting the video out there.
I’ve watched thousands of vids on YT over the years, yours is truly outstanding! Mad skills sir, mad skills!
Fantastic Build!! I am a Carpenter Contractor and you did a great job. Love the water tank. I used to have the pulled out drawers for my tools in my truck. I am going to use some of your ideas in my kitchen/12volt fridge/tools slide out to install on a trailer. I will be building that as well. Kudos to your skill-set!!!!
Bravo...I am absolutely speechless. You deserve your own show at one of the DIY channels on TV
Wow! Amazing job! Hard to believe that there aren’t a team architects and engineers behind this build! Thank you for sharing your talent..🙏
O.M.G. 😮😮😮 I would literally pay you for this! This seems more practical than the Decked system that a lot of overlanders use. I love the water system and propane set up you have made. You still have space in the back to place other things in.
What a great build. I’d definitely move the extinguisher before cooking and pop it back when your done. This it like glamming compared to how we camp! It’s great though!
That is one well thought out and stellar build. Super impressed, and inspired.
Yesterday I thought I had seen the best kitchen build in a truck, then I saw your video and got blown away. Amazing work!
This build was so cleverly designed and the background music was very funky.
That is one of most well thought out usage of space/gadgets I've seen in a while. Great work.
Muito bem dimensionado mesmo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Without a doubt. The best built drawer system ever!! Now I need to build something like this for my GX470
That is just such an amazing project!!! You couldn’t buy anything of such quality and efficiency!!! Truly impressive!!!
This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched and wow- the camera work, the craftsmanship, the professionalism. Everything about this video was helpful and informative. You are a model KZheadr and wood worker. Bravo.
Everything about this is incredible. What are the chances you'll be making the build plans available for purchase?
Serious craftsmanship even down to every detail. Amazing.
lol "Pre-scratched look" Nice job
Absolutely amazing!!! So relaxing to watch this project play out- I wish I had the area/tools at my disposal to feed my creativity. Keep up the inspiration brother!!!
You really nailed this build, my friend. You utilized every nook and cranny of the space you had to work with. Thanks for sharing this, Blake. Felix
Thank you!
Wow! I was just transfixed while watching this video. SO many skills on display and I am regretting not learning woodworking, plumbing, basic tools usage while growing up. I am googling for courses in my area now.
I'm totally mesmerized by your build. Incredible. Fantastic work!
The entire build is incredible, but that magnet to catch beer caps is cherry on top.
I couldn't figure out what it was at first. I'm thinking "why is he screwing that random washer under the bottle opener"?...DUH!🤯
Great idea using the angle iron as a drawer slide. I've got to try that some time. Nice build man
Thank you!
Hello
Same. I have seen people use plastic like ABS but plastic isn't cheap.
I used amgle iron in some locations, after I priced high quality drawer slides🤦♂️
Been looking at camping draws and DIY versions and this is by far the best. Nothing you can buy comes close to this and all this is in a different league to the rest. You've certainly given me lots of fantastic ideas! Happy camping!
The way you saw a empty space and executed the essentials was absolutely inspiring!!! I would love to see your mindset tackle a 4Runner with a folding forward section to still make use of back seat while being deployable at camp to sleep on top!! Also might be a dumb question but how do you refill water tank?
I was thinking the same thing given it is 2 hose fittings into the tank.
This was by far the most satisfying build video I've ever seen, brilliant ideas, flawless execution and the way everything fits together perfectly made me tingle
Agree!
Everything about this build is epic. well planned out, well executed, genius. thanks for sharing.
My good sir, if there is a nicer, more well thought out build I have yet to see it. BRAVO!!
I sincerely appreciate the camera work. So much extra effort…Totally worth it!
Wow, that’s incredible! This is the best iteration of this type of project I’ve seen...great job!
Thank you!
This is a absolutely incredible design! Everything looks perfectly laid out and accessible! You did an amazing job! I love it!
Thanks!
Brilliant set up. Great design and so well built.
This is so absolutely amazing. The most pro DIY build I’ve seen lately! 💟
We’ll done. So thoughtfully designed. You’ve got me thinking now.
Thank you!
It's 🤯 ! And the pressurized water tank is 😍
Oo la la its Alex!!!! I love you man!!
Alex let's see some camping cooking 😂👍🏻
Thanks Alex! Come camping with me and I'll show you a thing or two about cooking ;)
@@weberwoodshop awesome build! How did you get the adapters from the air compressor to the water tap to work so seamlessly?
E a caixa de água criativa e prática, só temos uma pequena duvida como fez o quebra ondas interno na caixa de água???🙄🙄🙄🙄
This gives me encouragement to build my own DIY camper. Your building technique is explicit, Thanks for sharing and more power to your channel.
That’s unreal. How you thought of all the little useful parts when starting it is applaudable
This was so impressive. It would be incredible to follow this channel through a full blown van build.
Stunning! It's nice to see that there is at least one person left in today's world who understands details! Subscribed! That's all that needs to be said. Oh, and... thank you!
agree with everyone that this is pretty much the best conversion I've seen
Thank you!
Absolutely the best design I’ve ever seen and doing it yourself… MAD PROPS!
Wow! By far the best quality, well thought out design I’ve seen to date, pleasure to watch this, has given me some great ideas for my own build! Stellar work man. Happy camping 🍻
