I was super lucky to end up in Yellowstone National Park just after the Yellowstone River opened for the season so took the opportunity to fish for some native Cutthroat Trout!

I will fish out west sometime. I live and fish in Maine. Was nice to watch your fish handling / respect and care for the fish.
God's creation is so beautiful and amazing. Life, what a trip.
Definitely one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever had the privilege of fishing. Top stuff Tom. 🙏
Such a good clip mate, thanks for sharing with us!
The deer and doe were such an unexpected but awesome addition! But the cut throat were the star 🤩
Hello Tom! Great video, a lot of fishing action! Yellowstone river looks great.
Glad you were able to experience catching some cutties! They are a super cool native fish to the west USA and it's neat to see you getting to experience that. Thanks for sharing. Also, whoever said cutthroat don't fight hard was very mistaken. When they are healthy like that, and the water is cold they offer great fun at the end of a line.
Fantastic video Tom, well done. It really is fishing and hunting paradise over there, a great outdoor culture!
You are a great fly fisherman, that was " A River Runs Through It " stuff.
Yelllwstone is 😊one of Gods greatest handy work !
Makes me miss my home country. But thank you!
What a day. Beautiful fish. And that doe crossing was super cool. Thanks for sharing.
What an awesome fight climbing over that timber!
Wow...that was some good fishing in that area of the Yellowstone! Congratulations!

Awesome job! Yellowstone holds a very special place in my heart, and I dream of catching huge Yellowstone cutthroat like those! I know the exact places you were in the river too, so I look forward to trying them myself! Thanks for sharing your adventure
Great Job Tom Always wanted to go there, very jealous
Awesome fishing Tom and Greta.
This looks very small to be the Yellowstone River. Was it in the park somewhere?
Amazing dude
Sweepers/Strainers are DEADLY💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
great looking fish in what looks like very heavy water.
So good Tom, When I fished Yellowstone park it was during salmon fly and there were massive bugs everywhere. It was such a good experience. Must do again. We missed staying at the old faithful inn. It looks amazing.
Beautiful cut man. I caught a few of similar size when I was there and they fight like a DAWG
Great Job mate…Pauly at Wilderness Coast on Fly in Australia 🤓👍
It's the water yup
Great video Tom. I loved fishing the Yellowstone back in 2018 when I did 2 full days in a drift boat. I’m still in awe of the sizes of the US rivers c/w ours. What flies did you use?
Wow! Beautiful and Large Cutties! A Shame about the last one breaking off! I bet you need a 6 weight Fly Rod for that River.
The Yellowstone was running very high in July, so I didn't bother to go there to fish. Opening day was moved up from the normal ( July 15 ) to July 1, I think. Were you there at the beginning of July? I'm going back to the area in a couple of days and was thinking of fishing that river and possibly Yellowstone Lake. In any case, congrats on your successful fishing day.
Hi, tks for sharing. Is fishing with hard lures allowed in yellowstone or its fly fishing only? Cheerz. David / Switzerland
Mind giving us an indication of if this is very recent/ now or from another period? Thanks. Al.
That was a weird place to cast from ,behind the fallen tree!

Hi Tom. Quick question. When u were fishing Yellowstone river what weight rod were you euro nymphing with
Hi David, I just used a 10’6 3 weight :)
You were fortunate there were no grizzlies wanting your fish!
Please stop promoting our already overcrowded water.
That would be intimidating! Not jealous at all! 🦾🙏😎
