  • Biggest change are all the crappy cards and how ranked fighters hardly fight

  • Painful watch, but I wanted to add something I think might be helpful for BE, for what it's worth, from an outsider. As a die hard MMA fan who's played and watched basically every major sport but has solely watched MMA for the past two decades, I visit the BE site about once a week when I make the rounds between MMAJunkie, MMA Fighting, etc. There is now and has for many years been a negative, weirdly hater vibe from the writers at BE. The comment section (what i gather to be the heart of the readership who probably helps to steer where your content goes) is also relatively hateful and negative towards the sport. This is more substantial now than ever. There is a "Dana is so evil," "the sport is dying," "the fighters are all racist maga idiot," feel to everything posted these days and it all just serves as a major downer in your coverage. It's gotten so bad I've gone from regularly reading to just straight up hoping you guys won't completely fail and go away. The writing skill is there (it doesnt take much to cover this sport, lets be real) and the knowledge is there thanks to the writers being die hard fans too.... but, what the FUCK is going on with your site when you have MMA journalists who's livelihoods depend on covering the sport talking about taking a fucking BREAK from watching, or altogether quitting watching the UFC? Are you kidding me? Has anybody ever heard of an NFL journalist flipping the god damn chess board over and going home when things get boring/stale/tiresome? No. They would be completely trashed by their more serious counterparts. The UFC has a ton of issues, always has. The point of this is what you guys have been doing is not working. There is NO way you are attracting new readers. It's downright depressing to read the site's content these days... .and whatever this video was supposed to accomplish isn't anything fresh either. Is this supposed to be some dude pretending he doesnt follow MMA anymore? Returning from an "absence?" Who gives a fuck? Catch up on your own time. Focus on making the most out of what the UFC and MMA in general is offering now as a whole and get excited about it. These old washed up writers with axes to grind and suffocating to listen to/read. Nobody cares. Hire people who can feign excitement or fake it.. for the sake of bettering the product you all claim to hate. You absolutely can ENCOURAGE the UFC, fighters, fans to do and be better if you use your platform to try and push this entire MMA product forward instead of just sitting around and bitching about the same old gripes. We die hard fans listen to podcasts now to get our content and they are scoring all the interviews because these sites are stale as fuck. Please, do something different. We want you OG sites to survive. Cut the dead weight, move onward.

  • The UFC has become a victim of its success. It's now as mainstream as McDonalds and that means it's now a blander version of its former self.
