INFO:
This video is the difference of several things between Minecraft Java vs Minecraft Bedrock (Minecraft Console, Minecraft Ps4, Minecraft Ps5, Minecraft Xbox series S, Minecraft Xbox series X, Minecraft Mobile, Minecraft Pocket Edition, etc.)
If you liked any part of the video, leave your like and comment, it will help to improve the video even more.
Minecraft: Java Edition (formerly just Minecraft) is the original version of Minecraft, developed by Mojang Studios for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Notch began development on May 10, 2009, publicly releasing Minecraft on May 17, 2009. The full release of the game (version 1.0.0) was on November 18, 2011, at MINECON 2011.
Bedrock Edition (officially subtitle-less; also known as the Bedrock editions, Bedrock versions, or just Bedrock) refers to the multi-platform versions of Minecraft developed by Mojang Studios, Xbox Game Studios, and SkyBox Labs and based on the Bedrock codebase. The latest Bedrock Edition version is 1.18.2.
Although all Bedrock editions are nearly identical, the price[note 1] varies depending on the platform. The Android version costs US$7.49 (£5.41), while the iOS/iPadOS and Fire versions cost US$6.99 (£5.05). The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions cost US$19.99 (£14.45). The Windows version costs US$26.99 (£19.51), and the Nintendo Switch version is the most expensive, costing US$29.99 (£21.68). DLC purchased from the Marketplace on one platform is usable on all other platforms, but the game itself is sold separately on each platform. Xbox Live achievements are not shared between platforms and buying the game on one of these platforms does not get the game on the others. The Xbox One and Windows versions are also playable to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers respectively, with both versions playble to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are playable on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 respectively via backward compatibility. As with all other versions of Minecraft, updates are free of charge. On Windows, the game can be launched via the Minecraft Launcher.

They need to hurry up and make these two the same. So many good features from both sides. Everyone should be able to have them.
@Projit Cry
What is with everyone wanting Java and Bedrock to be the same?
@@proudamerican183 What's wrong with that? I want redstone fixed and I'm sure Java players want to put potions in cauldrons. Each game has interesting features that the other doesn't and that can suck if you've only got one or the other.
@@bigtrent3600 Maybe because I like Bedrock just the way it is? Stupid, strange, silly quirks and all. If they made just one Minecraft that had the best of both, that would mean getting rid of the things that make each their own. Makes then unique. Even if they make no sense or makes us rage. Besides, with how long each has been their own, them making both into one Minecraft version would be as big a betrayal like what they did to the OG Pigman. Oh, and for Bedrock redstone, it is perfectly fine. May make no sense to a Java player, but it works. Just like how us Americans and our system makes no sense to foreigners yet our system works just as well.
@@proudamerican183 I see what you mean but I don't what to have to deal with two versions. I'm a bedrock player myself but if we could take bedrock and add the missing Java features and vice versa, that'd be awesome. In a game where creativity is king, being even slightly limited based on your version sucks. Plus Bedrock has enough things that would still help it. Bedrock runs smother, the community gets money for their creations, and is easier to play with friends. Plus it's a more accessible version overall. There would still be a reason to play console.
The weirdest thing about the slab thing for bedrock is it originally was like how Java does it, where the chest opens, but in a recent update they changed it so it doesn’t open.
slabs arent a full block, that's why in java you can open chests with no problem
Slabs are considered as a full block in bedrock edition
Slabs r considered a full block now because when u look at the outline looking at a slab, all the pixels r filled... if thats makes sense.. on the othrr hand, stairs DO work because when u look at the outline of it, one quarter of it is missing... which makes it not a full block
@@goldthebeast7742 nooo why did they change slabs
@@goldthebeast7742 I know that is how it works, I am just stating that I think its weird how it works that way, because in a previous update, slabs weren't a full block, but now, it is

This makes me notice how unique one is compared to the other. Even the similarities are to be appreciated. Both versions are still the same Minecraft, just with minor changes. Minecraft is Minecraft after all.

You can founde som of that in pocket edition becuz pocket is not actually bedrock its have ventures of Java too (a little)
Total Rounds 18 Points: Bedrock Edition: 12 Java Edition: 6 Winner in Feature (Base On Video) Bedrock Winner In Logic (Base On Video) Bedrock *Warning* No Villagers, No Armor Stands, No Piglins Brain, No Pillager, is harmed during the making of this video. Moral of the video: "MINECRAFT IS MINECRAFT"
1:29 the Johnny is a thing available in both versions (Yes i tested it) Its just the Vindicator does not consider Armor Stands as Mobs in Java, as it should. Thats an error that only goes for Bedrock. You can have infinite sources of both Lava and Water in cauldrons in Java via Dripstones, which is more effective instead of having to wait for Rain or having to leave the Cauldron outside. Also due to the infinite Lava source part, Since its not just a small amount of lava, its a considerably large one. (Also cauldrons in Java can collect snow) (Also i believe speedtrading on Piglins might be a glitch on Bedrock and if it isn't, thats no good) As someone who's played since forever, Bedrock has nicer small features but Java has more support for things like Mods and more flexibility on this kinda stuff as well as other small features which make a massive difference.
Bedrock does have mods, the only reason why java has better mods is because people don't put enough effort in bedrock mods, because "java batter" Edit: apparently my phone thinks that better isn't a word
- the point of that difference was to show which Johnny attacked armor stands, we already know all Johnnys attack - everything you just listed for Java's cauldrons, bedrock already has, and on top of that more with the dyed and the potion cauldrons I'n sorry but your comment sounds a bit biased for Java, this video is just comparing differences not arguing which one is better, you don't need to try to defend your preference
@@daenite2480 As someone who's played both versions, no. Im not Biased, Java is more flexible. Bedrock is for hardcore players. (and by this, i mean its harder to play)
@@s0und_h0und I'm talking about literally everything else but the flexible in your comment. You thinking Bedrock is harder is a personal preference, not an objective answer of who finds what harder to play.
Bedrock couldrons are better than java's (all same features plus potions and dye go in them, right click a stack of arrows on a potion caulron for potion arrows) The piglin speed trading was a bug and has since been patched. (Any time they agro they finished, unfortunately at the same time that bug existed hoppers had a bug where filters couldn't pull out of a pile of items on the ground, also patched) And a final key difference is Java vs Bedrock redstone. Several of java redstone's core features like BUD power (quasi connectivity) or sticky pistons leaving blocks are actually just bugs that either cannot be patched (because its coded in java) and will not be patched (because the community has latched onto it). Bedrock being coded in a C++ to have more supported devices isn't capable of replicating these glitches that are fundamental to Java. (On the whole we still call it Bugrock because od all the strange bugs that crop up, like that wonderful time when we had furnace gods instead of normal xp farms) I would be interested in a comparison of known intentional differences for the redstone and not just bugs/code language quirks. (And obviously point out what is a bug or language based difference, because bedrock's moveable tile entities are amazing)
I’ve noticed that bedrock is better for building with the creative reach and that you don’t have to look directly at a block to place another, but Java is better for adventure maps and (debatably) pvp
Brigd To
Without Plugins I would confirm but many people who creates Maps don't build without Plugins. So I say, Java is made for Building (with Plugins and modifications).
Java modding is more better and the code is unlimited so you can make a Lot of mods in this version And btw bedrock PVP won in bridging section (jumpbridge) and bedrock had more reach range
@@xt777br Silly

@Fe4RLess V3 YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY VIDEOS you literally just put another youtubers video on your playlist. And your calling us kids. Hypocrite.
I think the thing I’ve noticed about Bedrock, is that it feels more… polished? Like Java edition, people have been following the updates for years, so it feels more rough, and updates as it goes, but bedrock just feels like it’s made to BE minecraft, and there’s something oddly homely about that..!
Well that's interesting. A majority of players that legitimately sit down and test both versions come to the conclusion that Java is a more polished version of the game. It's no surprise, bedrock is the iPhone version of the game and it's main purpose was to monetize the shit out of it by selling you content that was freely available on the original version of the game. Since Java has just been around for so much longer it has gotten such a better level of polish and feel. The only reason bedrock "feels" better to some people is the fact that the view distance is locked at like 8 chunks, so Java players who have been living on a default of 12 chunks with a max limit of 32 chunks are definitely going to feel like bedrock runs better, I mean the average Java player plays at 16+ chunks of view distance so when they switch to 8 chunks it's going to feel like it's running smoother, even though my rig which runs Java at 16 chunks giving framerates around 90-120 fps runs bedrock at half the view distance around 45-60 fps. Bedrock players play bedrock out of inexperience, out of sunk cost, out of buyer's remorse. Java you buy once, you can have any skin you want for free, could even be a skin that looks like master chief or mario and it wouldn't cost you a dime, you can make your own or copy one off the internet. Mods add more content than any "marketplace" item ever even could. Bedrock requires that you dump more money into the game beyond the initial purchase, just for what was a feature of minecraft for so long that many long term players have made their OWN skin for the game. Hell an Aether dev works for minecraft now and his work, a free mod that he made, was plagiarized and had a cheap copy put up on the marketplace for 10 bucks. Bedrock players hate Java because they don't want to hear that they wasted money on content that is free in Java edition Java players hate Bedrock because it's microsoft's way of getting around the promise to never include microtransactions in Minecraft
@@SherrifOfNottingham its just minecraft at the end of the day lol. i play both and the only reason i prefer bedrock is optimization cause java lags like fuck
@@SherrifOfNottingham I- you can make your own skin in bedrock for free and you can mod it, there just isn't a lot of mods
