the biggest issue with bedrock is that it's really flashy and it's got all those neat visual features, but it's missing some crucial features, like the ability to use your off-hand for things other than a shield. this comment has been plaguing me for a year so i need to clarify: it's not about the shield specifically. that was an example.
Tf how can mobile players switch their items to the other hands ? Fast inventory?
@@itzminebro2413 Did you forget that bedrock is cross platform and not just for mobile? (Although there are still a few classic pocket edition leftovers, such as the old stonecutter and the nether reactor core) You just go into the inventory and put the shield in the offhand slot
Personally I find off-hand feature really clunky and poorly implemented. I prefer Bedrock's approach to shields.
@@iminumst7827 bedrock shields are way too overpowered though, because when you hit them, you go flying up in the air and oftentimes take a lot of fall damage. And I usually can’t even play bedrock anyways, because it is so buggy that it usually says “unable to connect to world” even if I am going into my own world.
@@extremecube that is a problem from your end
I just hope someday they make it so the 2 versions become identical with their features
Don't think so. This way they can sell both
They sell them together though... @@nuric91
If the versions were identical wouldn’t they just make one version never mind doing 2x the work?
they cant because for java u need a chunky pc and bedrock is designed for mobile and stuff
@@user-lo5gs5gx8ewhat if, in a perfect world, they make the mobile version separate so bedrock isn’t held back anymore
People who don't care about the java vs bedrock war and play both peacefully:🗿🍷
It should also be mentioned the bedrock wither has way more attacks, it’s capable of fully destroying biomes. One example is how it has an attack where it charges forward and destroys everything In it’s path Edit: HOLY F___ how did I get the top comment.
the dash attack is how i lost all my netherite gear in my world
He also spawns Wither Skeletons and has 2x more health than Java
Yeah the bedrock wither is actually a boss fight unlike the java one
@@chasethemaster3440 YES
Yeah the withers dash attacks are traumatizing in bedrock
I wish we could take the best features from both versions and put them together to make the ultimate Minecraft!

@@Crim67 what
If only, Minecraft would have to be completely rewritten in a different coding language for that to happen.
7:20 you can actually turn on "Crawling" on bedrock so you can crawl on 1 block space if you use a trapdoor or a piston
2:45 the good thing is that now they added the custom shield in bedrock I was very happy
They did? Yay!
I like that in bedrock you can instantly stop gliding by jumping again. It gives you way more control over it.
And all we have to do to be a lot safer is to just not jump mid air
@@nom9416 Or if you do just press it again to fly again
You can also too duplicate on bedrock
@@DexiduousRose big brayne
Yes
I recently switched from Java to Bedrock as the person I’m playing with is on console. Honestly, kind of liking the transition. So many little things I pick up on and appreciate. My only irk is the off-hand item limit (bedrock doesn’t allow a lot of items in the off-hand, including torches)
It's a shame not to have off hand
Yeah that is unfortunate.
I wish it had that feature, wouldn't have to make a million torches lol
Cause it's impossible for now for mobile that's why they r working on mobile touch controls
On the final topic you were talking about, well... I once tried to put a torch in off hand but I just couldn't
Actually, as of update 1.20, you can now put banner designs on shields in bedrock edition.
And you can craft boats normally and crouch under slabs (1.5 blocks high)
WHAT
And u can also craft barrels with planks
also you can crawl using trapdoors
bedrock is slowly having Java features what 😭
One difference that drives me crazy is how the game reacts to you closing the item menu if you leave an item on your cursor. In Bedrock, the held item conveniently goes into the first available toolbar slot, or back where you picked it up from it if your toolbar is full. In Java, you rudely throw it on the ground as though you didn't want it anymore.
ummm no that doesnt happen to me in java🤨
idk & idc
@@magical_dioxide7948then you never had it happen to you
On my pc if I close the item meny while holding an item nothing happens, it just disappears as if it was never there. But when i open the item menu again, I'm still holding the item.
On more recent java versions the item goes back to your inventory. It's only on older versions that you throw it out
Regarding the steak thing, there was a time WAAAAY back when (in the time of things like the Nether Reactor Core) where Bedrock’s cooked beef was actually called steak
ok
Nether Reactor Cores… wow, a nostalgia hit I didn’t expect.
Number 52. In Bedrock, If you have a lead and a boat, you can actually lead the boat and drag it around like a mob but when you try to do it in Java, nothing will happen. This is sure is a game changer since you'll not need to go back and forth trying to move your villagers from 1000 blocks away. I guess Bedrock got the win this time.
Do you think a easy or hard game is better peacefully I’m also a bedrock player
ig bedrock didnt win
bedrock will always be inferior, java is the one that doesnt have loads of microtransactions, can be modded, cooler redstone, etc
@@lolickypeepee23xdd6 Yea BUT minecraft bedrock has a ton of cooler secret feature ex: you can light a tnt block or a campfire with a fire aspect book or sword
@@lolickypeepee23xdd6 its sad that ur that pressed about a block game having an alt designed for console.
2:45 You are able to put banners on shields in bedrock 1.20 the update is one of many 1.20 features.
I dont believe that
They added hardcore/harcore
Fun fact about invisible skins around the 1:10 mark, the "visible pixels" needed top do that trick don't even need to be visible in game. If you have them way off the image where there's nothing the game renders, it works.
I have been trying to find the start of the stripe lands for a long time, finally finding it is very helpful! I play on both editions btw.
1:17 I mean
Where would Windows 10 (on consoles) fit into the Java vs Minecraft war?
ok
windows 10 is bedrock edition. hope that helps
Bro farlands are better than stupid stripe lands
The bedrock water feels like someone sharted in the pool
The Evolker running through the doors had me on the floor. 😂😂😂
Ladders, bows, and fishing rods have always been go-to fuels for me on Bedrock, even when the latter two are enchanted (or cursed). It's a great way to get rid of cursed weapons after taking the rest of the enchantments off of them after a long fishing session.
speaking of ladders, i played on a bedrock and java server, i think i was one of the few bedrock players there, and i got stuck on a ladder because there was a trapdoor one block above it and it was physically impossible for me to get up and the java players had no issue
@@clobzz you shoulda been able to go up it no problem but I can see that being an issue

We can put banners on shields in bedrock, that was added in 1.20.0
Già, infatti l'ho personalizzato da poco 😍
Mini fact about the stripelands in bedrock: The stripelands are 16 777 216 away, we can also say that they are 2^24 blocks away Yes, I did the math

0:58 I can have an invisible or transparent skin if I wanted to in Java, but the pixels aren't recognized by other people so if I'm a ghost, I will be able to see it but others will see me as steve.
For the smelting of items in the newest update I believe they mad it so all those things can be used in a furnace
I don’t know which version of bedrock you’re referencing, but I definitely use bows as fuel in my skeleton farm. I’m on the most recent version of bedrock vanilla.

Fun Fact: If you type in the /give command in java to get steak it'll tell you that there is no item known as steak, so you have to type /give cooked_beef
It used to be called cooked beef at one point, so i’m guessing they just never updated the item tag name for compatibility reasons
The meat from Cows is still called Raw Beef, instead of Raw Steak.

Mojang has talked about Java/Bedrock parity, so I think we could see some of these exclusive features made available/added in both versions.
For sure, take the best from both and combine.
I don’t want glichy redstone in Java.

5:19 Just get to the point where we can actually ride them ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Did you know in bedrock edition, if you go FURTHER than the stripe lands you will reach some kind of variant with stripes on both sides leaving just dots
True, no-one pointed this out
Thats known as the dot lands and if you go further generation just completely stops
Now you can do the trapdoor thing and put banners on shields in bedrock
Okay I'm actually about to have a parrot dance party because that looks incredible 😂
Such fun seeing some pros and cons with each version.
Stripelands, if you teleport very far out, blocks dimensions get distorted, and the unloaded stripes act as a barrier. Arrows stay on players, at least on servers/realms, and giants were originally on minecraft pocket edition

In the new update you can put banners kn shields but im waiting for waypoints on maps
Well this was helpful as a bedrock and Java player I needed to know this differences
Some of these aren’t true, or forgotten examples, such as lava doing more damage in Java than bedrock. In bedrock it’s the same as being on fire.

I'm wondering what if we combined all the future of both version combined them into one version
Definitely had many frustrations on Bedrock from not having one-tick sticky piston activation. This also affects the behavior when pushing sand or gravel up with a regular piston in redstone I think. The best difference in Bedrock (perhaps the only thing that's actually better) is you can bone meal a flower to produce more of the same flower. Definitely makes flower farms much easier to make.
W
Bedrock is very buggy but it feels better for me
It is definitely not the ONLY different feature on bedrock that's better.
@@rudrodeepchatterjee I did come up with a couple more since, but still pales in comparison to what's better on Java and the Java stuff has bigger impact like explosions not deleting blocks and far better spawning mechanics. You can't even fix creeper holes in Bedrock because most of the blocks get deleted. The ability to waterlog pistons makes stone generators a bit smaller, plus there are a few more blocks you can push with pistons allowing for resetting more villager trades automatically.

As a bedrock developer and java player i can say java have better red stone and a thing called fast healing which is a blessing cuz if you want to heal normally in bedrock it will take ages but in bedrock you can customize it better and have better animations and details like leaves turn white when it snows
yeah you forgot that bedrock is mega buggy, and you can die at any moment, lierally you can phase through the floor easily. Try switching to java using mccreator, its better!
I have never had a bug problem in Bedrock
@@gearsgamer7115 yea bedrock has been buggy in years bro😂
@@gearsgamer7115 java also has its fair share of bugs. However yes, bedrock has more of them. And my belief is that since bedrock was created to function on low-end devices, it can't really have a lot of pristine and delicate code, which causes issues. Java is made for higher end devices, all of which are computers, rather than smartphones, so it can handle it's vode issues better.
not at all, java used to work on pc that has 2gb ram and a simple dual core cpu with integrated graphics something bedrock isn't capable of... tested my self on very low end old pc... the thing is inverted. java can run on lower end device but does'nt get as better as bedrock on high end device. witch is why people think java is for high end when is not really...

The main reason that redstone builds cannot use in another version is probably because of the lack of quasi-connectivity in bedrock edition, instead of the differences in redstone circuit blocks

On bedrock you can also make your own skin if you not play on console, you can make it on blockbench and Import it into the game
They made cauldrons more useful now with the cave & cliffs update, if you put it under rain it, dripstone with either lava or water above or ontop of a snow biome it gives u infinite lava, water & powdered snow, ofcourse you gotta bucket the full cauldron before it can give you another bucket's worth
Its niche... Yes, but why would someone use dripstone as infinite water source when you can just...pour 2 water 1 block apart?
