I Gave 100 Reasons You Should Play Minecraft Bedrock Edition. There's a ton of great Bedrock Features, and this video went through all of them, like Bedrock Bridging, The Marketplace, The Hive, and more. Hopefully this video can get you to log on Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
A few more exclusive features I'd like to mention: -Thrown tridents can damage multiple mobs and are extremely useful in farms -Impaling works on all mobs in water / rain -Loyalty can return tridents from the void -Frozen ocean biomes are completely frozen over which is great for ice boating -Trees in any biome can sometimes generate covered in vines or fallen over -Giant mushrooms generate in swamp biomes -Desert wells (the best structure in the game) generate twice as often -The cauldron in a witch hut contains a random potion -If a nether portal generates in mid-air, it also generates a small netherrack platform for the player to stand on -Plants can be submerged in snow -Many more blocks can be waterlogged -Water comes in more colours in more biomes, such as the mushroom fields and the End -A single charged creeper explosion can cause multiple mobs to drop their heads as opposed to a single mob head on Java
dont forget java tridents de-spawn after 60 seconds while bedrock dont.
The portal thing about it generating midair is also in java but it's rare for some reason

I moved to bedrock when Microsoft thought it would be a good idea to stop updating legacy edition (which was the best version) then I moved to (just to try) Java and I was just like "why did I played bedrock for so long bedrock is painful". Java is better for older players but younger players are playing more on their tablet or on their console.
imo bedroch has more "atmospheric" features that dont add that much but are just nice like fallen trees, its also more accessible as its on basically everything, however Java has more useful features like the F3 menu and buliding on the nether roof, theres also more technical mods on Java like Essentials, which provides multiplayer similar to bedrocks free multiplayer

Ameteur speedrunner here (emphasis on ameteur): 1) Speedrunning on bedrock is kinda easier for beginners, but java speedruns massively benefiet from the f3 screen 2) Not every village has a stronghold, there's only a chance of it, and they are more common at certain coordinates (about 1000 blocks away from 0,0) 3) Doesn't have to be an ender pearl, any projectile can give you crit bug (snowballs, arrows, fishing rods [harder]) - Not related to speedrunning, but you can go into the game files and make your render distance higher then 76. I'm not sure if it actually shows you more then 76 chunks, but it does keep the bigger number there (only in the files, in the game it should just say 76+ chunks)
One way to play multiplayer for free on java is using a mod called "essential." But other than no mods, yeah, it's definitely annoying trying to play with friends.

The max render distance in bedrock is mostly dependent on your pc, since I used to have a max of 76 until I got a 3060 and then my max jumped up to 98

To mention BE achievements is crazy like cmon if u mention the good side mention the bad 1 too... in bedrock achievements aren't world specific which means u cant get 1 achievements only 1ce and in java they r world specific which is just WAY BETTER!
What makes it better, there is nothing stopping you from just doing the acomplishment again in a new world, and in Java it's much easier to fake achievements

Just a few things that I wanted to mention... Ticking area exists (it's called forceload). Speedruning really isn't faster- there are so many handy things on Java that make everything WAY faster, ask any speedrunner (although that thing about the dragon sounded noice) Andromeda bridging is techincally possible. You can do the snowballs setting on fire thing. You can easily make your own skin on java too. We have experiments. The "whatever this thing is" is a block with no texture, and it's on Java too.

It varies depending on the device, my Ps4 can get it up to a max of 16 while my Switch only does 12.
About 10% of those features are actually very decent while others are just wtf?
I have both versions and I do really enjoy playing both, some of these Bedrock features I didn't even know existed

bedrock maps are actually useful in the nether and basically obsolete the lodestone. you can bring an overworld map to the nether and the pointer shows your relative position in the overworld, which you can use to find your way back to your portal from anywhere, since the pointer actually works. you can also use it to decide where you're gonna portal out to, so it's a lot easier to make nether highways. it even works with explorer maps, so you can dig through the nether to get to a woodland mansion
That's a point against bedrock since the nerher is SUPPOSED to mess with tools like the map compas and clock

The hive is awesome, wish you could have more custom servers for free tho. I play on the Nintendo Switch, and the keyboard is super hard to use. Quick commands really help.
You can add other servers with a button below the featured servers list, with this you can input a server ip, port, and name to add to a list under the featured servers list

As a both player, these minecraft either java or bedrock is good and have their own exclusive features and even more than what this video shown. One thing that really impact is bedrock performance is way better than java. Yk optifine carried java for years (there are now other mods like sodium). But if talking about mods java can actually modify the entire game code (altho we have to use forge or fabric) and make things that bedrock addon cant do (cuz bedrock addon is technically way different than mods)

I think you forgot about the best feature in bedrock, when riding on boats, you can actually see what you're holding in your inventory like a map when travelling. I just hated it when I found it wasn't in Java

I watched full, LOVED IT
The glowing obsidian is from a really old version of pocket edition before the nether was added. You had to build a nether core thing, then it would spawn a big tower made of netherrack, and it would spawn zombie pigmen and other nether stuff. It was removed once the nether was added, but it's still left in the code in bedrock.
