Never seen Gordon so well mannered 😂
Dont panic don't panic
Still cursing here and there 😂
he just called his opponent food dog food lol and his opponents supposed to be a master chef. he also was insulting the host. he wasnt being well mannered
@@mO3fnMon3y If you understand about "personal branding" and have watched his program many times, you would understand why
@@annechan4043i know, we all come to see Gordan get angry.
Mad respect for Gordon Ramsay. He doesn't need to be going on these competitions, going out of his culture and comfort zone, but he does it anyway. Guy runs Michelin-starred restaurants, yet still challenges himself this way. Amazing. (I didn't even expect him to win, haha.)
He truely loves what he does.
He really loves it when he's a student, I always see this when he is learning from Asian chefs
Money
@@chesterlai9444 He clearly doesn't need extra money. And there are ways he could make more money without putting his reputation on the line. Saw him place second in this other competition in India. Sure, there's always the possibility it's all staged, but I'm more likely to believe he wanted the challenge.
@@sergiokaratekidSorry but it is staged. Gordon would never go to a foreign country without an insane amount of money knowing he would lose. The other chefs dishes where better.
it’s crazy how calm he is under pressure. cant read the ingredient labels, working with foreign cookware, and a timer of 15 minutes, a lesser chef would crack.
i think he seemed anything but calm lol the nerves made him underperform
@@enigma6689doesn’t look like he under perform. Remember he doesn’t know the name of the ingredients since they’re in Korean.
@@dxtnguyxn4179 its not just the ingredients.. its his ideas. his end product. and presentation and rushing throughout yet still not having enough time. its all scrambled and its very clear. He didnt think it through
Tbh when the rice fell apart I would've given up lmao
He used the most important skill of a chef, to combine ingredients based on smell! But under such pressure wow, he didn’t even stutter or get confused with the flavor notes. Was worried when he brushed raw sauce on the food because I worried that Asian sauces might be to bold and sharp without cooking down since they’re more of meant to be dipping sauces, but somehow he harmonized the sharpness of the garlic in such short cook time with the pungency of the sauces and yet the flavors described seems quite harmonious and mellow and doesn’t seem to jumped up at you as they seemed they would. Also the stir fried beef made me drool the wok hey on the crunchy greens was extremely intense and incredibly inviting. but yea avocado on steamed cabbage and steamed beef? in my mind, I’m already hesitant abt ordering it in a restaurant.
"Don't panic. Never panic!" Words to live by
Gordon Ramsay is very charismatic. It’s not even his show and he does not even speak the language, but it feels like he’s leading conversations and the direction of the show like a host. Add to the fact that he CAN cook. Wow.
It's them showing him respect. It's must be an asian thing.
@@ongxiong3960 what 😅
Gordon Ramsay it's more experience.. respect chef .. Gordon Ramsay...
@@ongxiong3960dumbest thing said yet
Very noisy eh kaya na distract cya..
It’s nice of him that he told them to help him find something that’s a true competitor 😊

@@brainouteargeometrydash9805 love most korean chef from this show
Gotta beat him at his best if it's gonna be meaningful
No, this is called o ma gawd , turu lobe
The chef he is competing with is one of the most well-known and respected chefs in korea, he is actually such a genuine and good person
Chef Gordon can really blend well anywhere you put him. He's not only a great chef but also a great TV chef. He knows showmanship while busy cooking. You can put him in any country and he would still thrive. And he does all this while maintaining a calm demeanor.
Him selling street food on the streets of Kolkata proves this.
I always respected Ramsey for always challenging himself and learning different styles of cooking. Even if he doesn’t always succeed on mastering it he at least gives it his all. Honestly it makes me want to try to do more with my life cause Ramsey didn’t even need to do all this, he has enough money to retire and never work, but he chooses to explore and gain more knowledge.
When you do something that is your absolute passion, it is not a work anymore, its your lifestyle and you cant allow yuorself to keep making efforts and gaining knowledge to very end, because you dont feel tired of it
Gordon Ramsay he’s one of the top chef in the world but at the same time always staying out of comfort zone and learning new cuisine like a student. This is why many people likes him and respect him
Can you just imagine the pressure of being in an unfamiliar place with so many people speaking so fast in a language he doesn't speak? So many intonations, laughter, not knowing what they're saying. Even assuming everyone is polite, he is only human.
He has a translation person so it's not difficult 😮
@@juneangel7221 but it was still so noisy, esp under pressure and them picking at him while he was cooking lol. Im surprised he didn't cuss at them more I'd be irritated Lolz
that's what every foreigner feels after coming to a English speaking country
@@juneangel7221 it is , if I work in a kitchen and people speak their own language and laugh i might assume they are talking about me and it happened to me in the past so it can happen to others as well. Being a chef is not easy.
That happened to me when I went to basic training in Kentucky outside Fort Knox I couldn’t understand shit but to be fair they probably didn’t understand my Brooklyn accent
I can't even get ingredients done in 15 minutes 😂 They're so lucky to taste these talented chef's cooking
Bruh by the time i finished cutting the veges, it's already 15 mins 😂
I am a chef, and prepping mis en place everyday is a such a chore
Yeah, well that's why they start with everything laid out next to them at the start of the 15 minutes.
I took about 15mins to find one pot in my father's kitchen lol
The prep is already done on most of the ingredients. This kind of show tends to focus on "eye catching" food preparation ( All that ask a fast/precise cut for an exemple).the mise en place have alreday been done before the cooking challenge begin. But, nonetheless, this kind of Cooking show off tends to be strenuous for traditional cooks, for they are not acustomed to the show kitchen.
28:37 that one chef’s ‘ will u? ‘ is so funny like he didn’t expect Gordon to wanting to come back 😂
He’s so smooth in the kitchen. No wasted movement. Mind blowing
Hats off to the translator for Gordon He deserves the best appreciation ❤
Agreed he was able to quickly catch on and keep up with the chaotic energy. Honestly I would love to see Ramsey on the show again.
Gordon the only Chef itw who is not afraid to go out his comfort zone and challenge other top elite chefs at their own cuisine. He not afraid to learn something new and definitely not afraid to lose. He did it in Thailand, Indonesia…and now Korea. He is that guy👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Gotta respect Gordon for this forsure.
The chef that he was against in this episode is Chinese, not Korean. So it was neither of their own cuisines.
@@4SuGloria He works in Korea. Plus it was an asian cuisine nonetheless. Which is far for advantages than a Brit who expertise in french cuisine.
soma yukihira irl
@@4SuGloria i mean he speak korean, he totaly understand korean cuisine. Plus there's a similarities of culture and geographical influence with both (china an korea)cuisine.
How the heck either chef concentrated enough to put food together with all that noise is incredible, it reminded me of the Japanese equivalent to its a knockout. 😂 Huge credit to both chefs, Gordon did absolutely amazing, considering it wasn't on home ground. Love him or hate him,he sure knows his stuff and can never be called a one trick pony. Well done both.
Here in Korea there are two chefs about whom it has been said that they are the Korean Gordon Ramsey. Lee Yon-bok is one of them. The other is Baek Jong-won. Both are extremely talented, and have travelled the world. I'm glad to see Gordon meeting and interacting with them.
I remember Baek Jong Won, there's Korea channels in Malaysia I saw his shows years ago
That was the funniest, loudest, exciting cooking competition I’ve ever seen. I love how they were screaming and buzzing with so much excitement and enthusiasm. Their humour is so fun. I loved it. ❤❤❤
japanese and koreans are really loud
this is a normal asian show, it is always like this
gave me a headache
does Ramsay allow contestants to break the format of his show whenever they feel like it? how would he react if a contestant on Hell's Kitchen blamed being distracted by him during an event? he paces through the kitchen all the time while his contestants are working he's a great chef sure, but also a pathetic petty vindictive insecure hypocritical little twat
Madness. Loved it.
This guy goes all over the world and challenges the chefs at their own cuisine this is why he is the best
He's not the best marco is
@@tonron888 i dont know but what we see now he not
@@faizeemohd832 even gordon would agree he's no Marco Pierre
@@tataman78 of course he not marco. He better
He wouldnt agree to be on a show if they wont let him win, just look at all the mistake he made as a chef during the show...
For the ppl who feel there's too much loud noise, the show is meant to be noisy. Like sports commentators hyping up a game. And the show is supposed to be more funny than professional, that's why the atmosphere is very chaotic
Who cares about the outcome when there is so much energy and fun going on! Simply superb.
I know right! I have been smiling all the way through😂
Thoughtful of chef Gordon for the people for whom he cook for. Appreciate and amazed at chef Lee for he manage to cook two dish within the time bound.
Both are my favorite chefs, I remember watching the entire episode when this first was announced. They’re just so good at what they do
I love the energy in this, need to see more of these!
What an intense challenge, despite of homecourt advantage, noisy distractions and missing tools, gordon ramsay still performs well in his food, what a legend!
Omg I thought I was the only one who thought that them being so loud was such a distraction 😅
I didn’t realize how enthusiastic Koreans can be. I loved watching the entire video 😂 it’s almost as if their yelling was pushing Gordon 😂
Yeah, for some reason most Koreans are known to be very hyperactive and enthusiastic like you mentioned, so they give out mostly positive vibes.
Yelling was pushing wdym 😅
@@nexus5648 nope. its just for the tv. behind the camera they're just normal humans like us. stop over compliment just bcoz you like korea. i went to korea and they're all the same like us. stop talking rubbish.

Gordon Ramsay is literally the one who has the most cooking experience because he cooks for himself and justifies himself according to what is the situation of the environment and pre-finished time. His whole life is cooking and his love of every unknown preparation of food
We Koreans love our food, a lot of it is very simple but with a lot of room for enhancing flavors and textures. I've gotta try that rolled brisket Chef Gordon made, it looks incredible!
Randomly appears on feed. Utter chaos. Absolutely brilliant! 🤣
Been looking for this match for years now.. -Gordon experience shown in his impeccable timing and steps, even under pressure and accident. His plating elements and taste profile made possible with some research and plan paid off. The hectic environment and misfortune are nothing new for him. -Chef Lee Yeon Bok profile can be seen on those plating and and taste pellets. His chinese culinary excellency reflected even on agile prep and fresh attempted menu. Wished he'd go with sesame dressing instead of avocado, a pairing which hardly worked out for them both.
The avocado definitely seemed weird to me
@@gregorylu because it's the client's favourite.
May I ask when was this originally broadcasted?
@@user-lj8yq9vs8t December 2017.
I would’ve done grilled beef on fresh lettuce, dressed with a sesame dressing instead. The avocado sauce was a reach. Ramsay was right to call it a dog’s dinner.
two genuinely impressive chefs that i never expected to see in one frame - another reason why this show is so cool
Just brilliant. So much fun in such a such a short time shouldn't be possible. Love to all involved.

Chef Lee Yeon Bok nice that he gets this international exposure. He should have more!

I don't know if calling other chef's food as dog's dinner considered to be "well-mannered"
@@idiotbun3552 lolol it's the "trash-talk" among chefs xD
@@idiotbun3552 tbf the sauce really doesn't look appetizing. And steamed beef with minimal seasoning didnt help either, considering western chefs like char on their beef. The beef stir fry was super normal/lacks innovation. Gordon brought much more texture and flavor to his plate
I thought gordon would shush them off midway but surprisingly he kept his cool lol
@@MrDeerbomb Yeah and the one thing we can all agree about Gordon is that the man knows his spices. He travelled all around the world and studied various cuisines and tried to enhance his palate more and more. I mean the man's a genius.

so much more fun than the serious US cooking shows, ton of fun to watch while still being super intense.
This was freaking awesome!
This was epic indeed. I hope they can do the english challenge it would be so cool to watch. All the food looked amazing and they prepared it in under 15 min - what legends.
You can really see the different cooking techniques from these 2 chefs 🔥
Yeah Gordon Ramsey was on a battleground and the other guy was in a peace garden raking the sand box lol
@@MainDoorFramescuz it wasnt food gordon was really familiar with, other guy had advantage but he still did very well.
@@MainDoorFramesIn a situation very foreign to Gordon, I think he did extremely well.
Ive been trying to find this FOREVER!!!!!
truly incredible! look forward to the competition in Britain!
for people who think ramsay is badmouthing the food, i dont think so(?).. dog's dinner can be a phrase that refers to something that's badly organized/chaotic.. probably referring to the cabbage and the avocado were a miss
So refreshing to watch Gordon being respectful and in place. He's a gentleman and good person.
I've not seen Gordon look so nervous before, I am so glad he has the humility to still challenge himself
Awesome 😂❤😁. More video like that!
I'm totally surprised to see this and it's a very pleasure to see and have Gordon Ramsay as a special international guest in Korean TV show. 👍😊
Thank you for uploading this ive been looking for its full video but it seems to be deleted and cant find anything else Thanks again 😊
we need more of these!!! top chef vs top chef of another country!!
I loved everything about this. Very good show!
they complimented chef ramsay alot about his catering to korean taste which is very impressive no doubt. but chef le eyon bok made the cabbage dish catered to gordon ramsay which shoulda landed him some props aswell he tried inventing something new on the occasion of chef ramsay joining which was very thoughtful of him, all in all great competition great atmosphere and vibe, abit much at times but still made me very happy to watch and see all these guys have such a good time
Yes but they take in within the context of - how unfamiliar th e enviroment is for Gordon Ramsay. He cant even find or read the tools he needs to cock. So i think thats a factor. But also beyond that. I think he created something that is a bit more "different that koreans arent as used to". He came with a twist on the food, and that excites people who are not used to it. And hence creates a higher proability that they want to vote for him
I love how focused gordon was considering the amount of noise around him!! inspirational!!
I howled when Gordon hit the MC's hand trying to taste his food This was thoroughly entertaining!
wow this its amazing thank you
I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS!!!! THANKS TO THIS CHANNEL

I absolutely enjoyed watching this to the point I could almost taste the food, but it was so funny to watch. Well done to both chefs ‼️👌💪💯
Such respect and honor between both
this was brutal. gordan started off by saying "a chef never blames his tools" then procedes to not be able to find ingredients because they are labeled in korean, has paper towels that are so thin the meat sticks making the casing messed up, then the rice sticking to the plate. it kinda feels like everything that went wrong was due to the tools.
but he didnt blame them
@@akiokoh7481 at a point humility becomes bragging.
And he didn’t blame it and still won
even with those disturbances he still done an "awesome" food. His focus that really saved him.
No, you blame the people responsible for the tools, i.e. the showrunners. Either they deliberately made things harder for entertainment or just didn't think thoroughly how to execute a good show. The hosts also don't seem respectful enough with all the loud talking. Not a fan of Asian shows anyway, especially the replay of every other scene is annoying af.
I live in Asia and often find the noise and constant talking over each other and people laughing in a foreign language totally overwhelming, but watching this....what a happy, positive experience! I think Gordon Ramsay had an ear piece in so may have been receiving live translations but even so, I did not expect him to be so funny without really changing who he is or what he stands for. No, you may not taste my food, in a playful way. What was also fascinating was just how clean he kept his workstation.
her station was a mess tho :D prob cuz of 15min pressure not well known ingredients like souces etc. might throw him off
No kidding, massive props to the translator xD
So you usually eat in total silence ??
I mean, in any bar, you would find a lot of loud noises and constant talking over each other and people laughing.
i have seen that in many of ramsays own dishes on youtube as well, where he plants these exquisite tasty explosions in many of his own recipes, i tried to do a few of them to cook... its amazing how much flavor can be mixed and still taste so authentic. Its a true form of art how he expresses himself by the way he cooks.
I love the background commentary while the 2 chefs are sweating in hurry😂 this better than masterchef lol
Every time Gordon competes against other authentic chefs in their cuisine, he's so respectful and actually nervous when he cooks. He has a side of humility that he expects his own chefs to have when they cook for him
I would love to see hint doing this again, but with his cooking utensils and his arrangement. Basically having each participant standing on equal footing. It was fun to see him struggle for once though 😂
This show was so good! Love the energy! Gordon just had to wing it! where can I watch more of this??
What an awesome competition!
That first rice flip was a OG move. Respect to Chef Ramsay.
I remember this vid years ago but it was deleted for whatever reason. Anyway, Gordon got all the disadvantage in this competition (language barrier, unfamiliar kitchen, incomprehensible labels on ingredients, loud and annoying distractions) but the dude still kicked ass. What a legend! Yeah I know it's not meant to be "serious" but Gordon still has his name on the line. Pretty sure he won't like to wake up the next day on headlines saying that he lose on a cooking competition when he knew that he can compete seriously and get the win.
You act like gordon is undefeated in cooking challenges. He's lost plenty and no one has made a big deal out of it. You sound like a high school student that blows everything out of proportion. 🤦♂️
Or they are polite, to let Ramsay win.
@amossutandi it's true. Because he's the guest and they're big fans
@@amossutandi Nahhh, these Korean shows are meant for comedy but they judge fairly. There are times when their guest lost but everyone just make a laugh about it.
I think chef Lee did better than Gordon, I have ever tried both of chef and Mr. Lee Restaurant was more delicious, sorry but this is my preference
Nice to see people having a good time. Such a fun show to watch! ❤️
I'm not surprised Gordon Ramsay won this one, he's been cooking professionly for 25+ years, and his drive and perfection shows through the cooking. The fact that he put something together with whatever ingredients and ontop of struggling to cook in a kitchen thats different from his own, just shows why hes a michelin starred chef.
I love the cheeky grin when he threw the salt behind his shoulder. He knew they'd get a kick out of it lol
I like how Gordon says one word and it becomes the new joke for the host. 😂
I have such respect for Chef Lee from watching this show over the years. I was glad to see Ramsey demonstrated his respect by not grandstanding as he usually does.
Gordon Ramsay's ability to cook under pressure is MONSTROUSLY SCARY. in a good sense.
I absolutely loved this video! The people talking in the background were an absolute blast to listen to 😂 their excitement and hilarity just continued and continued. Definitely gotta check more after this 😂 I came for gordan ramsay, and stayed for the hosts 😁
This was AWESOME! Absolutely brilliant fun show. Would watch again. Definitely agree withthe result. Targetting Korean tastes was a clever move.
I think the main difference is that Gordon made a new dish for tasting. He took a risk and it payed off. The other chef played fairly safe and he cooked good food but commonly found.
Loved the commentary and seeing Gordan under pressure 😂 I thought 15 mins wouldn't be enough time, guess they both proved me wrong 😊
He didn't say the F word
"Don't Panic" I love him man. He's just Awesome !
Watched it with a constant smile on my face, what a great show with such icons!
That looked like crazy fun!!!
Amazing to see professionals cooking like this 👍🤩
It all comes down to experience here. Gordon Ramsay have so much knowledge of cuisine in every part of the world. he can simply use it to decide a perfect dish to serve the person he cooked for. this experience is from decades of traveling, filming shows all around the globe. calm under immense pressure in a odd environment. not all great cook can do that
Clam under wdym 😅😊
@@btsarmy72013means he was still calm despite the fact that he was under a lot of pressure since he was running out of time
That may be true for a lot of places but he is infamous in Spain for the exact opposite reasons you mentioned. I think Italy too.
Explains why he's given new menus to restaurants in Kitchen Nightmares, all of it was from his vast knowledge of dishes hes perfected.
Best 15 mins !! Loved these 2 chefs, the Asian agility v. British charm. Both dishes looked great ! Even "dog's dinner" with cabbage, Gordon so funny! and Bok so sweet ! It was fun to hear the video game /casino sounds too Hats off to both 😊 now part 2 please !
😅😅😅😂❤ great show! Thank you enjoyed it , tops!
Cool to watch, i would be honored to taste what these 2 chefs cooked
I think if you're going to add time constraint, remove the language barrier and have ingredients clearly marked in the chef's native language because if this challenge was English only then another chef who doesnt know the language might have difficulty finding the right ingredients and have to spend time going through things and tasting ingredients. That gives an unfair time advantage to the chef who's familiar with the language
It's just a light hearted show lol -😅
its not a serious competition my guy
Ramsay looks like he was having a lot of fun. I think he really liked the concept of the show and the team in Korea.
Love both chefs... their good skillsnin cooking ... love korean how cool they are in thjs competition and make it joyous.. congrats to both chefs .
you don't see me when i wake up 10 min late to work, somehow I finish my breakfast cooking in 12 min, chai tea with milk, egg sandwich with spices and cheese, and prepare my work stuff to go in just that timeframe
